It seems fairly accurate to me. I use it in daylight and under various lights that illuminate my plants to check lighting conditions and intensity.
Good to be able to select FC. The average needs to be a running average, user determined, (ie 3sec, 5sec, 10sec, etc, slider) not fixed one since switch on. Meaningless without independent calibrator. If I had another light meter, why would I use this one?
Works great. I use a calibrated light meter to check outdoor lighting levels. At times, I need to do some quick checks and don't have it with me. It's awesome to have this on my phone. It saves me a trip back to the office. I checked this app against my light meter. They are very close. I am comfortable accepting its readings as reliable. I have the app on a Samsung S7.
Less than .5% off the light meter in the office here. Great app.
Works as it should. HTC M9.
I have not used a light meter before.
Nice app thanks
Eval'd on Droid Maxx w/Android 4.4.4: no extraneous stuff, works as described, very handy. Not certain if the rear cam has a separate light meter, but if so it'd be great to be able to select which cam to use.
I use this app to compare light levels in my garden, it works great and saved me a lot of money on a light meter.
The app works great but it is too vague with the reading like another user said. Also I have a suggestion when you are reading a small lights lux like a led the phones screen reflects back to the meter and makes the reading inaccurate. Is there a way your could measure the average lux of a phone screen and automatically take it off of the reading.
I love this app. It has a calibration and everything. But it's missing one thing. Switch between lux and foot candle. Then I will give 5 star!
Has everything needed. Not sure how accurate without calibration. It has calibration feature. Great for comparative measurements.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to dump this one, as it is just a tad too vague . . .
I calibrated it to match my Extech light meter which took about 30 seconds. This app works amazingly well with this RAZR Maxx HD's meter. Very accurate and consistent for quick lux readings.
Surprising accuracy on Droid MAXX, without the need for calibration. Simple and easy to use.
Good ap, wish it had a way to display foot candles.
Very simple and easy to use
It shows lux value properly with calibration.
I put the tabs all the way to max for better readings is that good to do or no? And if not what is the right calibration?
This is perfect for a quick level check. Thank you
Easiest to use on my samsung tab 2 10.1
Seems clear and has a resettable average reading facility. Thanks for this.
With an LED lamp I had readings changing from 225 to 450 quickly. Integration needed?
Its useful tools..
Useful app . Thanks.
It works ok.
I liked it because it also gave min, max, avg numbers (with a reset button) as well as the exact value which does jump around a little. I don't know how accurate (i.e. calibrated, linear) it is but for my use I was just measuring the relative lux of several LED, CFL and "regular" light bulbs to see which was the brightest.
