Light Meter Harmony

A simple app displaying the light sensor value from the phone. To be used in photography, scenic design or whatever you want
Bonus: includes a sound meter and a vibrations meter.

Includes a nice graph. You can make screenshots and pause the meter.

Value is DIRECT from the phone sensor in Lux. It may differ from a normal dedicated luxmeter. Bulb Life App Icon by Nicholas Menghini from The Noun Project http://thenounproject.com/nl_menghini/. A light meter is a device used to measure the amount of light. In photography, a light meter is often used to determine the proper exposure for a photograph. Typically a light meter will include a computer, either digital or analog, which allows the photographer to determine which shutter speed and f-number should be selected for an optimum exposure, given a certain lighting situation and film speed.

Light meters are also used in the fields of cinematography and scenic design, in order to determine the optimum light level for a scene. They are used in the general field of lighting, where they can help to reduce the amount of waste light used in the home, light pollution outdoors, and plant growing to ensure proper light levels.

Not being able to exit a mode without ether giving it a 5 star ir making it seem like thinking it's a failure is NOT ACCEPTABLE and app will be deleted for that and only for that reason as I haven't had the ability to form an opinion (I don't mind a 'rate now', 'rate later', 'won't rate popup ... if it is without a 5 demand)

Works reliably (accuracy is dependant on hardware, of course, but the app does precisely what it says it will), graph is a useful addition. There may be better or more fully featured light meters available, but I wouldn't know since this one does everything I need! Completely satisfied.

Needed quick and easy way to compare light output of old spotlights to new led's in the visible range. The graphic output is just what I needed. Vibration and sound seemed veryI sensitive and responsive - fun to play with.

Pretty accurate using my slowly dimming and brightening less I have turned to go slowly bright red to dark and black and fade back up again. It's pretty close.

Not accurate. Sound and vibration meters do not state units of measurement but sound does not match my professional SPL meter in dB's. Also constantly nags to give a 5 star review, hence the 1 star review.

Its ok to show low light fluctuations but range of readings is to low for sunlight or hid lights, Raise the light meter range I'll raise my review.

I am using this to replace my 40W tube lights with equivalent LED bulbs. Useful to compare Lux before and after installation.

Range is great. Great app to compare lux even though different phones get different readings. Great app for comparing spotlights using same phone.

Constantly asking for rating in most annoying way possible wanted to give 1 star for that but I'll give 5, hope you will do something about that popup.

1. The rating reminder is too persistent for comfort. If I haven't rated your app after you reminding me a hundred times and you still keep reminding me. You've got to be a idiot! 2. The vibration module makes no sense. Is it accelerometer? Which axis? Vibration us supposed to be the sum of changes in acceleration on all the axis. The light module is what I needed and that works fine. :)

Seems accurate, easy to use, rating nag slightly annoying but assuming that is gone now, straightforward. Haven't used the sound or vibe meters but light suits my needs for checking luminosity

Easy to use. Accurate and consistent. It has helped me determine lights for customers. With this I can use numbers instead of just saying brighter.

Would have given 4 stars but 1 less for annoying me to rate everytime. There, I did it.

Good meter seems to work okay. It would be nice if it were using the camera on the other side of my phone rather than the one facing me.

Asking for rating way to much that keeps it from getting a star! The light meter is simple to use and fairly accurate. Sound meter needs to be in decibels to be of any real use that keeps it from getting another star.. Vibration meter is what it is.

Could've been better if you could show a reference scale against the result like "yours is this if you are sitting in your office but ideally it should be this" if you have some case studies with you.

Just a clean, functional meter, which is all I wanted. If youre looking for specific guidance there are other apps/google for that.

Consistent results. Not like having a real, professional meter, but good for the circumstances

Nic. T. Dec 1, 2015

Don't like nag for review. Plus no units. Light level on s5 was accurate per my light level meter. Within 20lux

Ger. G. Jul 1, 2015

I like simple things. This is a luxometer measure, so it is enough for I need. I have made test with a calibrated luxometer and the results are very similars. Thanks!

Ell. B. Mar 24, 2016

Used it to compare LED ceiling lights with florescent lighting. Nice tool for relative comparisons throughout room.

Dav. F. Feb 4, 2015

Doesn't have a bunch of extra features to clutter the screen. It just reads and displays the lux value like it says.

Nan. S. Mar 11, 2016

It differs so much so that it will show you zero lux when actually it's more than 15! And vice versa is also applicable. Deleting it immediately

Ste. Z. Nov 22, 2015

Annoying asking for ratings. The app is ok after 1 minute use. But I think it is too early to rate it. Here you go, maybe I will up it with time if it does ok.

Sar. S. Mar 21, 2016

Appears to be doing what ut needs to so when I figure out how to use the numbers it'll rock I'm sure

Cli. M. Jun 2, 2015

I am not using for photography, I needed a reference tool to compare projector output from one room to another. This is so very simple to use, the sound and vibration options on this are a plus as I needed a reference on sound levels as well.

Dam. C. Nov 10, 2016

Checks LUX/lumens, to you name it and if there was one, didn't notice a single ad. Worth the download, good tool to have handy

A. G. u. Sep 7, 2016

Tried it on vibration and it seems to be very responsive. I wanted the light meter, I'll see how that works shortly. What is it measuring for sound? It's not dB's

Vit. S. Nov 21, 2015

Simply does the basics - measure light, sound and vibration.
