Light-O-Meter

this is pretty cool, i have an old school probably from the 80's light meter and i was wondering how accurate this was compared to that and sitting right next to my phone the light at my desk was 43 foot candles on the old meter and this was reading 472 LUX, and with some simple math its spot on there is 10.76 LUX/foot candle. thanks saved me a hundred or so for something that just measures light in cubicle space at work Galaxy S5 T-mobile

One of the best free app of understanding light measurement and distance of travel. Would recommend this app for anyone who may doubt its use.

Good idea and UI my friend, just needs more work as it lags and freezes on my Note 5

I have a 1800 lumen CFL....this app shows the output at 1506 lumen. Using CFL'S to grow is like growing on a cloudy day. I got 1490 lumen outside today its raining and cloudy.

please update app for LG Volt ASAP... I love this app but doesn't support my new phone :( Give 5 5 stars once updated

This is a good app. I have tried it only at home and I want to test it other places and write more about it.

Awesome, just want I wanted! Saved me $20 and having to carry around a light meter. I wish there was an option to pay them and remove ads, but perfect other than that.

I wanted to study fluorescent lamps vs CFL vs LED lights, found this useful with my Samsung note 1. Do not like not connected ads, rather would like to pay and use.

Got this to measure light levels in my sealed greenhouse, works great because it stores the max value

Not sure how accurate this is but it seems to give a good indication.

Looks fast and responsive. Would love to find instructions on checking calibration.

Dont bother with this one it does not work

Freezes the phone. Certainly didn't measure any light. Uninstslled.

It does what it suposed to do. The Max/Reset Max is a very nice feature.

Please make it compatible with my new Samsung J7 phone!! I Love it for testing my flashlights!! Let's me know which one is better and when I need to change the batteries. THANKS

Initially, it looked good. But after the first use, it started lagging really bad... 7-10 seconds of freeze... time after time. I like the design... simple... just what I need, but- if I can't count on it... uninstal & use a different app. Fix it, and I'll re-evaluate... & re-rate.

Brilliant(pun intended). Pretty darn accurate and just what I needed.

Useful comparison tool. Confirmed that one low energy bulb in a bedroom was NOT as bright as the old incandescent bulb despite the adverts for it!. Also that a work surface was badly illuminated. Great tool for free!!

Stops at 10000 lux max on my ZTE Max

Works well, very easy to read. Have not tried calibration.

It lags very bad at big changes of lux.

Couldn't even handle 43000 CD. Reading was horrendous.

It helps to compare different types of light quite accurately.

Easy to use, ads are unobtrusive.

And it has a nice layout.

Needs restarting to read after darkness. Samsung Tab S Android 6.1 not optimised ? Update needed!
