Light Rider
Built on over 25 years of DMX lighting control experience, Light Rider finally puts a great light show into the hands of a working DJ, who might not have the time to spend hours programming scenes before a show. Carefully crafted by Light Rider’s developers and DJs - Move FX are on the left, Color FX on the right, Flash FX in the middle and presets along the bottom. Light Rider is compatible with 1 DMX universe (512 channels). To connect the app with your lights, you can use the LR512 WiFi device, or a compatible SUT device with the Light Rider licence.

This app works when IT wants to. Very glitchy. I agree with others. It has potential but not quite ready for primetime. ADJ just introduced a clone. Maybe they'll fix the bugs. Okay I did download the latest version in hopes everything would work perfectly. Unfortunately I encountered more issues. Now the color chase is not working properly. The inside out and outside in chases just go left to right. Meaning the inside out goes left only and the outside in goes right only.
Currently DJing a wedding and now the app says there's an update but there is nothing to find for an update. It also won't work and will shut down if I don't update. So I'm oretty much screwed as I speak. This should be figured out before you send professionals out to depend on your product.
Keeps crashing... when I open the app it says to update it and when I click on the link to update it, it doesn't do anything.
After wiping my cache the app tells me to update now and when I click it just brings me to the store where I cannot update or do anything. Way to kill my party guys. You broke the app.
Great app just brought the lr512 awaiting delivery. Would be good if pictures for fixtures could also be added as this would make it easier to find and verify you have the correct ask file. Will review again once I have tried the hardware with the app.
Was good not now, it asking for an update when used with android 12, but there is no update, firmware is on 0.26 so it's not that can only be android 12 as older tablet that not updated to android 12 still works
Bring back phone support! March 2021 update: I'm launching it on 6.6inch 2400x1080 screen and it still says: Light Rider is not compatible with this device. A large screen is required. Useless app. Update (29 may 2021) Still not compatible with Redmi Note 10 Pro! Update (28 feb 2022) still not compatible with Redmi Note 10 Pro! Its a huge phone guys, whats wrong?!
Keeps crashing....it's says I need to update the app but when I click the link to go to the play store I already update the app.
Please help me out, I bought a new samsung galaxy splus tablet, but unable to connect the artnet.. it says compatible tablet require for artnet. Kindly let me know the issue..
Doesn't work keeps telling me to update. MyDMXGo was better than this garbage.

Very stable on a Galaxy Tab A 2016 works great with a Sushi-DS dongle.
App crashes consantly as soon as it connects via WiFi to the light rider dmx controller.

How do you use it
This app has some great possibilities, unfortunately it doesn't play well with multiple fixtures if you're looking for independent fader control. To Light Riders credit, they were responsive to my tech support requests, but I'm still having issues. I'm using the sushi dongle, and as of this review the latest play store apk, but the bugs still exist at least with my fixtures (led pars and 2 movers). I was hoping to be able to manually create some scenes and cues via an android device, but as of now I have issues with the lights changing settings on their own when saving presets. I've since switched to a laptop solution with a different program (and my lights work fine), but would love to be able to use this. Hopefully they can fix the problem, it has so much potential.
I will give it 5 when the ADJ Inno Pocket Spot profile will load. PLEASE FIX
It's quite good but some fixtures fail to download
Been working with support to resolve my issues, but only gets worse over time. Adding simple RGB led pars and other fixtures was easy, as was assigning the modes and channels. Problem is that presets stored in LIVE mode dont't actually get stored. The settings always bounce around even tho they are supposed to be stored as a "preset." Very annoying. Also, when adjusting from different sliders in the fixtures mode, the lights no longer respond when going back into live mode (auto- low/medium/high).
Light rider is a fantastic easy to use product. I do use an ipad but find it worked better on android. One thing I miss was the phone support (smaller screens) in the beta. Even though it's designed for tablets it worked great on my p20 Pro. Unfortunately they had got rid of that for the moment so I do hope they bring it back as it was a great backup. Appart from that works very well. 4 stars without phone support, 5 stars with.
