Lightning Alarm Weatherplaza

Accurate and a good warning of approaching storm. Just a little disconcerting when you forget that you have been looking at the App and an explosion goes off in your pocket 😀 That is to say the sound of thunder . It also shows were the rain is and that is also accurate. I have lost the sound effects that were on this App and a re install didn't bring them back. I wonder if anyone has suggestions?

Loading maps is slow, even with a good connection. The maps show no information when zoomed out to determine what area you are looking at. You can't select distance that you want to start receiving alerts, I personally am not interested in lightning 30 miles away. I need alerts when it is 15 miles or less. Just not enough options for my needs.

I downloaded this to assist in helping a special needs dog with severe storm anxiety. On paper, this app seemed perfect, but unfortunately it doesn't work correctly each time. The notification process does not consistently happen when it does detect lightning, and many times it doesn't even detect it when it's right overhead.... Uninstalled to continue my journey to find what can help us.

We have lots of T-storms in and around New Orleans. As a pilot, I check this app frequently to see where the boomers are. It not only shows me where they are but the intensity of frequency as well, so I know not to fly in those areas. I'm not a boater or golfer, but I would think this is an essential app for them as well.

This is an absolutely awesome little app. Unbelievably accurate with enough detail to be enormously useful. Cannot recommend more highly. Many thanks to the developers for achieving something that many expensive apps don't accomplish..... accuracy! 😀 Oh and one more thing I find useful.... You don't need to open the app for notifications to be sent. The great little widget is all you need.

Love this app ! Was out and about, got the notification...... plenty of warning time ! Thank you ! I first reviewed this app back in 2019. Now it's 2022 and I still love this app ! This is a go to app if you're going to be outside during the summer ! I will also tell you that this picks up Thunder Snow ! This is one app that I feel all Cellphone Companies should build into their hardware !

The only app I use as notification if incomming lighting. Also very accurate in predicting rain after establishing storm trends in your area. Please see if you can't incorporate a drawing feature or pin. With that ,one would be able to have a waypoint ,to see the movement of the cloud mass.

I downloaded this on my current phone, having successfully relied on it on my last phone. It has been useless in recent months! It either hasn't signalled a warning and the thunderstorm has come and gone, or (like today) I will receive the alarm 12 hours (!) after severe storm has passed overhead less than 1km away. Have uninstalled.

I love this app, it's the only one that gets close to what I need. I contacted the developer as it keeps resetting to our neighbouring island of Koh Phanghan so here here on Koh Tao I am getting woken up for many false alarms 100km away. Still 5 stars and the best app I can find. But please please please fix this issue. UPDATE: the developer has fixed the issue, legends, thanks so much, I am delighted and promoting your app to all those that live here.

Superb app :) I got a new cellphone and now it works like a clockwork. It was something wrong with my other phone so I'm sorry I didn't give you 5 stars back then. It's nothing wrong with this app. I apilogize,you guys. You have done an outstanding job with this :) I strongly recommend this app if you want to keep an eye about what's going on above us :)

This app is accurate and easy to read. The only function missing which would help for future predictions and planning is a direction indicator. A means to show direction the rain squalls are moving.Other than that an excellent app. I am a swim coach and find it an important part of my tool kit.

App is excellent, however cookies consent screens are misleading and don't allow all selections. Misleading: because it implies rejecting cookies blocks adverts which is not true, only blocks some information collection. Don't allow all selections: you can only expand one Purpose at a time and if you click the switch to object to the purpose then navigate back to Purposes, then expand the same Purpose, the slider is back to On (green), implying the state isn't saved. Save just exits selection.

I really enjoy this app and have found it to be extremely useful. Living in Florida, we do a lot of water based activities. Storms often sneak up on you, and that makes getting a load of kids out of the water a struggle. This app is very useful for giving a heads up so that we can start that process. Once the lightning gets within the 6 mi we hear thunder. My only request would be that the creators add a motion to the radar overlay so that it let's you know what direction the storm is moving.

This is a great warning system for severe weather! I have been testing it out for about 3 months, it seems highly accurate, and as we head into summer I'm glad I have it, because our storms are ⚡️⚡️ narly af!

A wonderful App April 2022, used it since 2008 on all my devices. So comforting to graphically view what type of impending weather & how weather is progressing. I would never be without the Weatherplazs apps. Thank you Developer.

The app works well and is reliable as a lightning warning indicator. It has always indicated correctly. I even use it as an indicator of coming rain storms. The graphics help to indicate the potential of severe storm conditions like hail and lightning.

Works good, needs more features. It would be useful to be able to change the alert radius to suit your needs. I use it for work, construction shuts down due to lightning in the area, so if I could have control over the alerts, it would be more useful.

I wanted to have this app on my new android because it warns you when lightning gets within range and I tried to open it after downloading it but it simply wouldn't open. I never had this problem on my other cellphone. Can you please check what's wrong since it stop working? :) I really want to use this app. We get thunderstorms from time to another here in the Philippines.

seems pretty good, ive not come across any bugs yet but I only installed it on Tuesday. Checking against weather forcasts it seems pretty accurate. I hope this one is a keeper. Thanks to all that are involved in the making of this app. Update has a few alarms which seemed again to be accurate.

It's a spot on up and updates very frequently, the only feature I wish it had was a storm direction. I know there are weather apps for the weather direction, but two in one that are accurate or more accurate would be amazing. Good job developers! 👍
