Edit 17-12-20: Yes! It is fully working now, thanks for the update! I have 4 of these lights. Last year they worked without a problem. Now they all get discovered by the app but 2 of them get disconnected everytime I open them in the app. The other 2 have no issues. What can I do? Edit: I just tried the app on an older OnePlus phone with Android 9 and all lights are working. So the problem only occurs on my OnePlus 8T with Android 11.
I did not use this app much, it serves its purpose though. However, as I have hought a pair of lights and created a group for them, one of the lights does not turn on when I switch power on initially - I have to go directly to the specific device and power it on there, the group control works normally past that point. I don't understand those of you, who advise not to waste money buying the lights because you have troubles with app. It's not really waste of money, as long as lights work, right?
It does not do much, but what it does is OK. Powering off, selecting modes of fading, blinking, staying on or combination of them, changing brightness and setting many timers. It possibly depends on device the app is connected with.
Downloaded the app but it doesn't read the QR code from the box, comes with error. Trying to set manually and the light device does not appear on the list to connect with Bluetooth. However in a Bluetooth settings devise is available. I switched all other BT off thought maybe interfering, still cannot connect
+ App generally does work and controls LED cluster, can change lights brightness & modes. – App looses connection and cannot reestablish it from time to time, need to re-add device for it to start working again. – Timer only controls LED cluster on/off timing and nothing else. I expected it to automate brightness & modes changing over day/night.
I have three sets of lights. They all do connect the useual way and work properly. The only issue is that when a group of lights is created, not all tree sets are connected. Only one is connected at a time . A work around for me was to program each set individually.
The app is really good initially when i saw the negative reviews i was concerned but so far (3 weeks of using the lights and app) i encountered no problem, sometimes it doesn't make the Bluetooth connection at first but it always does on the second try. The timer is great always on point. I recommend the app and the product.
Works fine with my lights. In the Program menu, you can select the patterns you want it to do in combination, or just leave one selected (dark background) for a single pattern. Some extra custom pattern options would have been nice.
Does what it says, however as always, the programs are tasteless. Seems like there should be a way to control twinkling speed alternating chains and so on. Anyway, good start.
Not like most people told, works well and app reponds. Tested several different lights that use appps and it works great. Careful as the receiver from the product can get damaged i colder temperatures and it may not work as well.
Used it for one Xmas & NewYears'Eve. Was allright. Next year installed once again. After a few days the app lost contact from the lights. Couldn't restore contact no more. Now useless!
Please update the app. It states it is outdated and might only work properly on older Android which is clearly the case. When I seek devices or read the stringlight's QR code, nothing happens, and the stringlight does not appear in my devices list.
At first worked more or less ok, even though timer didn't work unless I opened the app (why would I need timer then if I still have to do it manually?) But now none of my two lights would connect
all features work allright, it is possible to change modes (you just need to click the right tab). the bt range is shorter than declared, but it is a hw issue, i guess
App does not work. Lights keep doing their rotating automatic programme. Which for me makes it useless. Because it drives you crazy. Cannot programme it to just stay on/of.
Works fine but it cant properly use the camera of my phone (huawei p20 pro) so pairing by reading the qr code does not work at all, I had do to it manually; otherwise it is okay - I can program the timer, mode etc.
The app does not work, can't scan the qr code and won't connect with the device. Lights turn on and off randomly. Can anyone help?
Lights change the programm randomly (sudden start to blink, reset of dimm), plus the timer not working properly (lights simply stay on or never turn on again). 0 stars
Works fine on my Samsung S10, absolutely refuses to detect lights on my Pixel 5. Neither autodetect nor QR-code scanning work. Contacted the developer but deafening silence.
It works great and all it would be 5 strar if it could sync the lights together properly I have 3 Christmas light sets and 1 is different to the other 2
This app is useable it will not scan a qr code. In fact it does nothing at all and should not be on the market. I feel the peaple that designed it, should start again from the start, you cant even open the instruction. Its not worth a star. Ww
Terrible..It worked for a bit and now its not working. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app and still couldnt find it.
Doesn't work. Tried with 3 different types of mobiles, iPhone, Samsung, Huawei. Paid extra money for the device because of this function. Great, isn't it?
The app worked in the first year. It did'n receive any update so it's unusable with the new Android versions
The app is amazing when it works, so please update the app for the devices with the latest verion of android. Thanks.
This app is a joke! It won't detect any units regardless of method used. The info section is empty under the headings instructions and legal. All there is is a version number. When reviewing this app Google play closed down on me. It's a sign you should not bother with this app. Edit: If your phone doesn't detect the device, try activating the GPS. It is only needed for the initial setup and can be turned off during later use. You'd think it'd be mentioned in the manual, but no.
