Mobile App for Traffic and Feedback Services. The first version of the app to be released and still being developed.
The Traffic Status application displays information on road, sea and rail traffic collected by Traffic Management Finland, the Fairway Agency and the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom).
The application utilizes the information available as open data eg. Via Digitraffic. The information presented comes from road weather and traffic measurement systems, traffic control systems and other information systems.
The application also includes a Feedback Bus, which allows you to report road conditions and traffic flow. The information is transmitted through the application to the Traffic Customer Service.
The Traffic situation app provides information on road traffic disruptions, road conditions and forecasts, traffic flow and congestion, weight restrictions caused by a rut, ice covered and closed, and images of cameras on the road.
For rail travel, the application provides location-specific passenger scheduling and punctuality information.
Maritime traffic information includes Traficom's warnings for navigators, as well as information on ships in and out of all ports in Finland.
Note: The visibility information displayed in Traffic is affected by weather and equipment factors, as well as the stability of many electronic systems. Thus, information is not always accurate or may be missing. The observed values shown are based on the information available at the time the service is provided. Be aware that the actual road conditions may differ from the application data.
