Likewise: Find What to Watch and Where to Watch It

Awesome concept, terrible execution. I can't even give a proper review of this app as it has never stayed open long enough to use it. It keeps closing on its own or searching by title freezes or keyboard doesnt come up for you to type in a title, etc. Like I said, the idea of it is amazing but until you find away for it to work properly you're just providing an app that is more frusterating than its worth having. It would be amazing if it actually worked. Wait til you workout the bugs.

I used to enjoy this app. Back when it first launched it didn't take forever to load the app. Loading the app takes forever and crashes when it can't load. Another issue is editing the description of lists. The keyboard won't come up. It won't let me edit the list. So I have to make it private since I can't delete it. Then make a whole new list. It's just annoying. This app isn't as fun as it used to be.

its alright if youre willing to go and ask for book suggestions from other people. not sure how the algorithm works but doesnt seem to really give and good recommendations other than things ive already have read. also the app takes way too long to load or search anything(even clicking the search bar takes forever to do anything). still, its a decent place to keep track of books you may be interested in reading or shows to watch at some point

Different lounges are set up so you can get recommendations for books, movies, TV shows and podcasts like ones you enjoy. Pretty brilliant. I haven't yet seen rude comments or suggestions. You can tailor it to your streaming apps and genres that you prefer. You can suggest selections to other members and follow people who seem to have similar preferences. There are also hosted discussions for trending series. There's so much potential in this forum!

I really love this app, it makes finding books I'm actually interested in super easy. My only problem is that it lags a lot and it's not the most intuitive. Sometimes it will glitch(?) and the app's resolution will be too big for my screen... Another thing that annoys me is that in order to get recommended anything, like podcasts, you need to list 10+ that you already like. The problem is, I only like one or two and was hoping this app could recommend me more based off of those. Etc etc.

I like the app, although it is very glitchy for me. serves it's purpose well and I like that you can easily communicate with others about recommendations. I wish that the swiping left or right on movies and books saved or refreshed rather than restarting when you open the app in the same day or when you go back to that section. I also wish I could un-recommend things on my feed. Over all a good app that connects people and is very practical for learning of new books and movies.

It has an awesome variety of books, movies, podcasts, etc. I use this app to organize my TBR and Read lists for books. The main issue for me is the loading time. It takes a while to load a page when you click on something. I feel like it's been getting slower recently but I'm not sure. I've been more into using Goodreads because of this. Other than that, I adore the app.

Updated: Used to be able to watch trailers in this app and now it only plays the audio with a black screen. Reached out to support who finally responded they will "look into it," but the problem continues weeks later. There are so many bugs on this app that last for months at a time with no fix. I'd love to mute categories that are suggested to me daily that I have no interest in. There is a place for it in settings that I've been informed is no longer functional, yet it remains in the app.

I recently reinstalled this app hoping it improved. I reviewed it last year and reached out to the support team, but nothing has changed. While the concept is great, it's still extremely buggy. Constant crashes, ratings don't save, videos don't load... Etc. Such a shame really. Be warned. If none of that bugs you, it's awesome haha.

The concept is interesting, but I want so much more. I want to say if a movie/show/book doesn't interest me. How about a three-tier ranking for any piece of media (didn't like, liked, loved)? Also, fantasy isn't a genre for books, apparently... I don't think I'll keep using this app, but I liked that it listed so many streaming services. The search function was so slow!

Very good for keeping track of your watch list for multiple streaming services. The biggest downside is that you can't filter out recommendations for streaming services that you don't have. It seems pointless to recommend me something that's on a streaming service that I can't afford right now.

Great app, but has some bugs that make the app crash.... Otherwise really great way to track your movies, tv shows, and Books etc. There's no other app like it in the app store that I know of. Keep up the good work ! UPDATE: I can't play trailers in the app, the screen is black.

I find Likewise really useful when looking for movies and tv shows to watch. Especially, because you can choose the streaming service you use. But, I just wish that there was an option where I could choose the max rating I want for the movies and tv shows like PG-13. That way I could see movies/tv shows in the genre I chose that are rated PG-13 or under. That's one thing I wish Likewise would have but also, when I'm using the search function on Likewise, it's really slow.

Good app for the most part. I wish I could customize it more though, like I just want book recommendations and would appreciate it if the TV & movies tab wasn't the default. It feels like the app keeps pushing that option 🙄 Iv also found it a little glitchy when I select a book and scroll down to find more like it, sometimes that option isn't there.

Perfect for when ever I want to watch a new show/movie. The community is pretty active and I get recommendations for shows after I ask for them really quickly (about half an hour, sometimes even less). It is also a great way to track what I've already seen and it is really easy to save things you want to watch. I also like the simplicity of choosing if you liked something or not. Simple, to the point. I've found some of my new favorite show through this and I am not disappointed.

I've really liked this app right off the bat, but typing out comments will eventually freeze the app, and sometimes my whole phone restarts. No other app has ever done this and I am concerned. I've been typing out what I want to say in another app first, which works, but Likewise resets when you leave, and it's not always as simple as searching for the show again. Hope the larger issue as well as quality of life improvements are in the works.

I absoluty love this app. It showed my now favorite books, shows, and podcasts. One thing i would want to change about the app however is adding a music feature. I never know what songs to listen to and i normally just listen to the same songs over and over again.

It is a really good app. One suggestion I have and really want would be to create lists from your saved items. It would really help me keep what I want to read or watch first organized. PLEASE 🙏 MAKE THIS HAPPEN! I have so many books saved that I want to read and want to create lists for my saved books.

I downloaded this app within the last 5 min after seeing it could help find books for me with genres I like. When I created a profile and went to select the genres, there wasn't a single one they offered that interested me. I think they should broaden their database. Uninstalling, what a shame.

The concept of the app is good. It is more likely I will find something to read or watch instead of spending all the time surfing or trying to hurry at the library to read the summaries. At least here we can use our choosing by reading the comments and summaries. Although there are things that need to be fixed, there is some irrelevant information to scroll through and I do wish the other users would leave more comments, opinions, suggestions. It would help weed out a lot

Like that I can find pretty much any TV show, movie, book, podcast and share it with friends. I can put items on my watchlist so I don't forget the suggestions friends or the Likewise community suggests. I can also tell if the show/book/podcast is cancelled or not. The more you rate, the better the suggestions.

WANT TO LOVE ❤️... But... Far too glitchy. As soon as the momentum starts, it literally freezes. Not used to that with apps, as I avoid any/all apps with this primary characteristic. Unfortunately, though the concept of this application is awesome... it has another week until my final decision.

The app is a nice way to find not just books, but also television series, movies, and podcasts. Users mark what they like and, over time, it shows you recommendations that you can save for later. What I'd really like, though, is a way to get similar titles right away when I want something like xxxx. Hope this ability is added soon. (Or, did I miss it?)

Not the best app for books. You can't search by author and doesn't group together book series which would be really helpful for finding similar books. Haven't looked into the TV series and movies sections yet

The app design isn't that good.. would be a great app if it allowed for customization. Should bring the type of suggestions I want to the forefront and the movie covers should be bigger. The "You May Also Like" section should be the MAIN focus. I don't care about what's new or trending. I care about my suggestions. 3 stars it is.

Everyone makes it seems like it's an amazing app it won't allow me to watch movies every time I click on it the screen pops up and just being completely blank this app is a waste of time

Misleading. I installed this a while back and never got around to opening the AP or setting it up. For the last few weeks I am suddenly getting push notifications about someone liking my "rec". I have no recs ... I downloaded this because it sounded interesting but if they are going to notify people of likes or shares or what have you that don't exist what is the point of having that feature at all?

The app is pretty good. I like that you can see what others say about a particular show, movie, book or whatever and that books are included at all. I like being able to share my lists with my family and friends. I wish you could rate shows rather than just like or dislike. Sometimes it is somewhere in between. I'd give it a 3.5 star rating.

I really enjoy getting suggestions based on what I already like, and the suggestions for new things to read or watch really has truly been "spot on." My favorite feature has been that they list which streaming services any given recommended movie or series is carried by, which has helped a great deal in choosing which streaming services are worth having.

The app won't let me sign in. What's worse, I distinctly remember posting this issue to the Google play store previously and it's gone. Why are you trying to hide network failures? I'm locked out of my account and people need to know what bugs are present. I try to signin with email and it says failure. I try to reset my password and it says network failure.
