Lincoln+Alexa

Bring Lincoln+Alexa with You on the Road: Access to Alexa in your Lincoln is now as easy as connecting your phone, starting the Lincoln+Alexa app and speaking to Alexa. Even with road noise, Alexa listens and provides you with the same information and access to Skills and features as you can get with an Echo in your home. Alexa’s familiar voice and responses then play through your vehicle’s speakers. You can access thousands of Alexa skills and services that Echo customers already enjoy. Pump yourself up on the way to the gym by saying, “Alexa, play my workout playlist.” Continue the book you were listening to, even during your commute to work. Check whether you have dinner plans on the drive home by asking, “Alexa, what’s on my calendar tonight?”

• Alexa Capabilities: You will have access to most the same capabilities as you do from home, including controlling your smart home devices, ordering pizza, checking the weather, getting your favorites sports teams scores, checking and updating your schedule and more.
• Navigation: You can ask Alexa for a point of interest (POI) and ask Alexa to navigate to the POI. Alexa will hand off the POI to the onboard navigation when equipped or to your phone to provide you with turn by turn directions.
• Entertainment: Using Amazon Music, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio you will be able use Alexa to play music (skip, fast forward, rewind, play, and pause) and even make song purchases. The vehicle’s display will show artist, song, and album art information.

SYNC 3 Software Version 2.2 or higher is required. You can check the Software Version on the SYNC 3 touchscreen by pressing: Settings > General > About SYNC. The top line will show the current Software Version (SYNC 3, Software Version: X.X). Customers can upgrade to the current Software Version using automatic home Wi-Fi updates* or a USB download from owner.lincoln.com.
*Wi-Fi updates may not be available for SYNC 3 versions not equipped with navigation.

It is very good! I'm holding back one star because it is somewhat finicky. I have seen three different problems, freezes during listening, Lincoln+Alexa app won't load into applink, NAV directions sent to phone instead of SYNC 3. All these issues are intermittent and oddly go away after the car has been turned off and allowed to sit until the next drive. Then it is fine again.

I don't know if it's this app or samsung, but after I get an update, lincoln Alexa will not work via Bluetooth with my corsair. Frustrating

This is garbage. I bought a 2018 MKZ Hybrid and this isn't usable. I have all updates. I'm selling the car after 6 months and going back to Lexus. Like a vcr vs. streaming movies. Do better America....you're getting outdone by a wide margin!!!!

This app would be fantastic if it worked. I have my 2021 Cosair for about 3 weeks and it has worked maybe 2 times. It never shows up as an available app in the car. If it does work it maybe works for 5 mins and stops. If this app actually worked it would be fantastic. I hope they fix it.

' Completely froze all touch and voice controlls, totally unusable. Car is 2017 MKX with latest sync updates, phone Galaxy S7 with latest android and updates. All worked right after install but after car was powered off and restarted lost all touch and voice controlls, couldn't turn radio on or off via console controlls, couldn't answer incoming phone calls, etc. TOTALLY USELESS for me and had to uninstall from phone to get my car working again!!!!

Constantly crashing. For the most part unusable. Last update to the app was 2 years ago. Lincoln abandoned this feature. Installed the Ford plus Alexa app. Works much better

App doesn't work with my 2016 MKZ. My guess would be it only works with the Sync 3 system and I have the crappy glitch-filled Sync system. I'm disappointed that the app doesn't work with my car but not surprised. The Lincoln Way app won't connect either.

Works fairly well in my 2018 MKZ, but with limitations. While the Lincoln+Alexa app does support Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, SiriusXM and TIDAL, there is no support for Pandora, Spotify or Apple Music. The app needs some work.

It just stops working. The icon will not appear on my screen. The phone is definitely connected. I can make calls and play audio. But no Lincon+ Alexa. Won't update either

Doesn't work. When it does work there's no sound. It does at least attempt to play the correct Amazon Music song which Android Auto can't do, so there's that I guess.

The Alexa App works about 40% of the time. The app keeps disappearing on my Lincoln 2018 MKZ.. I double check to insure the app is running on my Samsung Galaxy S-21 (the latest Samsung phone) You would be a lot better off using Android Auto until they get the Lincoln-Alexa app perfective

Pointless. 2022 Lincoln Navigator. This takes you away from any and all normal vehicle operations. Android Auto is far superior with Google.

This should be retired; very specific case uses and even then it performs poorly. If you use Android Auto or Car Play, you can't use this at the same time. Too much hassle to use this in any enjoyful/helpful manner

Has it really been two years since the app was updated? No wonder it doesn't work. Lincoln and Amazon need to get their act together and either pull the app or update/fix it.

Horrible app. Hasn't worked in months. When it does its spotty. Really need to update app fix all the issues.

Never works. Disappears from car app screen. The Alexa app is gone from my car screen for months now. Nothing works.

Worked great for a few months, and I loved it. Not sure what the change was, but it doesn't work anymore in my MKC

Reg. W. Sep 9, 2019

This only works with the built in NAV but not Waze. The communication works as you would expect, with a delay.

It worked the first few months I bought the car, but keeps dropping now. I have a Corsair

Display is too dark and hard to see. Suggest a lighter background color.

Mac. S. Dec 9, 2020

Doesn't work correctly half the time, now its playing music but won't show on the display
