Linear Drum Patterns Generator
The concept of linear drumming is to play only one drum or cymbal at a time. It was introduced by funk drummers like Steve Gadd, Mike Clark and David Garibaldi, but nowadays the linear drumming concept is adopted in a variety of different music genres from pop music to death metal. Though the idea sounds really simple, it may take hours to weeks of practice to get some patterns played nice and tasty. Learning tricky linear grooves will bring your coordination and technique to a new level.
There are lots of videos on Youtube with some particular patterns and grooves, but Linear Drum Patterns Generator will give you much more. The app is completely free, there are no ads or hidden payments, just use it and have fun.

Does what it says on the tin. Some patterns are a bit silly for example kick right on snare right on floor tom kick, however I'm happy the app pushes me like this to help with general kit tecnique. I wish it could change sub divisions (staying as straight 16ths or perhaps triplet 8th/16ths). Also flams and drags would be appreciated. Other than that, solid app.
Great app to practice drum licks. Lots of features and it allows you the ability to slow the tempo as well as increase it. I love the feature it give to change up the patteren. Lots of pracrice modes. I love this app. I hope they come out with the ability to connect v drums via MIDI.
App should suit any drummer trying to work on odd hand patterns. I play it like its a video game -Generate a pattern (Level) and keep at it until you have the sticking pattern down perfect to whatever BPM (Difficulty) works best for you. You have unlimited lives, but the level is not beaten until you can hold the pattern in time for 2minutes *Bonus Rounds* -Retry patterns across different drums and cymbals, at different dynamics, and try to accent at least 2 of the notes in the patterns
This is what I've been asking drum teachers to show me for years but I guess the way I explain it comes across as I wanted to learn rudiments. This app has changed my practice routine and I'm excited to see what I can bring to the set now. Great app, I would recommend it to any level of drummer.
this is so cool app, your right coz you can really expand or explore the patterns, it's one pattern but there is a hundred thousands of orchestration you can make. keep up the good work sir. (sorry for my grammar) lol.

Cute app, I fire it up to get me out of old habbit with fills and such. Could use some more customizations, but it's not bad, not by a long stretch. Give it a try!

easy to use great app. Can you make bpm to be automaticly increased from 50 for example to 100 during set amount of time for example 2 or 5 minutes.

Very cool app kicking it around on the orchestration Note pattern slowing down the tempo memorizing pretty easy to do come across with some great stuff
I like it but the help does not help with understanding the notation on screen but unhelpfully only repeats the tutorial that states the obvious.

2 Thumbs down Victor...No options to program your own patterns. The change pattern button is a randomly generated pattern that makes no musical sense across the kit.
simple and solid for generating random patterns outside of usual practice regime. Can open lateral doors when stagnating with the usual practice regime.
This is really A great apk, i rate it 4 star because it doesn't really generate rudiments. But it awesome for players who doesn't know how to roll on drums.
I like the fact that you have a gazillion number of exercises, but would like to modify them manually.
Update please? Won't run properly on latest android update. super dope... one per week as part of my practicing sessions.

I like the concept, and it could be helpful (generating new patterns, just as it says). However, it would be much improved if I were able to input my own pattern sequences and orchestration, and save for later practice. Overall the app does what it says, is well designed and easy to use, with no adds. However I do take issue with the odd and unrealistic limb orchestration around the set (left hand floor tom, as an example others have pointed out). If these improvements were made it would be 5 ⭐.
