On January 20, 2022, I changed the home router to handle the higher 'smart' device load, including 2 pre-existing Linear WiFi-enabled garage doors. I precisely followed all Linear app instructions as I had done with the previous router. Linear software will not complete the pairing function. This outcome is absurd and confusing since the previous router and Linear software worked properly. What is going on? I checked everything here that I can control. Linear software is very disappointing and needs attention.

This app is horrible. After setting it up, a few months later the app decided to randomly turn on vacation mode and would not allow us to own the garage with app. What is worse, there is no way to exit vacation mode. We had to remove the device, and set everything up all over again. Not to mention I changed the setting in the app too not receive push notifications on the light and penning and closing of the garage. However, I still receive the notifications which is extremely annoying. My wife emailed customer support for assistance with turning off the vacation mode. It has been two weeks and she hasn't received a single reply even acknowledging her request. Terrible customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would!

when it works, its nice. id love google assistant integration, but no. more importantly, there sometimes simply is no connecting to Linear, which means no smart features. no way to predict when it does or doesnt work. no in app help to diagnose problems with connectivity, or known down time. REVISED - found how to integrate into google assistant - i'm happier. Still room for improvement overall, but worthy of lifting up from 3 to 4 stars.

I have used the app with a single device for years with no issues. I added a 2nd device and now the app does not work. I get a white screen with the Linear logo. That's it. Reinstalling the app does not resolve it. Customer service says there is nothing wrong with the app and it must be my device. No, it worked perfectly until I added a 2nd device, and my other apps are working fine. Others are reporting the same issue. Please help.

I keep getting notifications from other users. I have tried to contact the developer several times with no response. When I finally got a response it was "it's a Microsoft issue" and was not helpful. Feel this is a privacy issue for the people I'm getting notifications on and who are getting my notifications. I also can't seem to delete my personal information on the account since I've unloaded and reloaded it several times to reinstall it as instructed. He supposed fix.

Nothing but issues since the latest update. It constantly spins,says that it can not connect to Linear. Purchased a wifi garage door opener for the purpose of utilizing this product accurately and promptly. Due to my dismay this has been the worst app ever. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, changed my password, cleared cache,cleared data, force stopped the app, checked my internet connection and send an email to address the problems with the app,which was returned invalid email. Fix the app asap!!!

As others have experienced, notifications stopped coming through around the beginning of 2021 for some reason. Not sure why this hasn't been fixed yet. this evening the garage door decided to open itself and of course didn't send a notification. Have to constantly check the app now to see if the garage door is open in the middle of winter. Not a very reassuring feeling of security.

Some manufacturers of excellent products overlook the fact that the primary customer interface is now with their app. A bad interface ruins the experience and in time the app product reviews will make the quality of the opener/operator irrelevant. UPDATE: The app is now stable and working about as expected. It was a frustrating first two weeks! I disabled the geolocation feature at about that time, a cool but unimportant feature for us.

App often won't connect with server. It's constantly asking me to sign in again - especially seems to have problems in the morning when I'm trying to get to work. Selecting certain settings doesn't make a difference (still notifies me that the garage light turns on or off even though I deselected that notification). Very frustrating app.

Onerous app. Doesn't keep you logged in when launched even when the toggle for this setting is set to enabled. When logged in the status of the devices is not updated immediately and can take many seconds most of the time. In many cases the devices are just displayed as offline when the phone has connectivity. Notifications don't work.

UPDATE: Been using this app for over a year now and while far from perfect, it worked ok overall....until just recently. Unfortunately, within the last two weeks ALL notifications have ceased completely. Also the app itself NO LONGER HAS A SETTING TO SELECT ANY NOTIFICATIONS WHATSOEVER. There are only options for geo fence and automatic events. Notifications ARE allowed in the phone settings. Very tired of the issues with this app...

Basic operations work fine (light and garage door control), but the app logs you out within a day (not making it seamless to use, an old fashion remote control device is much faster), the UI/UX is not very good (it tries to do way too much and not very well), and it frequently requires you to reconnect the device to the network. Please hire me or my students to redesign this app and IOT infrastructure you use (CS PhD and professor) or provide an API I can use to build a new app that works the way I like it.

Last update was terrible. App stuck on loading screen. Have to force restart all the time and redo login. Also, I have turned off the light notifications several times and it just keeps coming. In response to your response: I do and I do. It doesn't help. I wish I could use a different app.

Keeps going offline - I keep getting notifications that it's offline. I try to sign in again and I can't. I try to uninstall the app, reinstall and still I can't get into my account let alone figure out why! I called the support phone number and they're closed. No email support. What a waste of an app! Can't open my garage door with my phone! That was a selling feature for our new garage door!

My app was working great for the past few months and attempted to use it asked for my login.Well it didn't accept my password even after reset and now it is stuck on loading screen. Ive erased the storage, memory and uninstalled and reinstalled it numerous times and it will not get past the loading screen. Can this please be fixed? Every review is negative . Doesnt linear mgmt care about this? Thank you for the quick response and repair. One thing I do value is the response time⏳

When I first installed this app it was working fine. Now I can rarely log into the app at all, and when I can log in it will not operate the door. Please fix this app!! Update - the app is working again now. I am guessing that they provided an update that fixed the issues, but I'm not sure. would be good if the company would let users know if they do bug fixes. non the less, app is working great at this point.

I bought a new Samsung phone from Verizon and moved my apps/data to new phone. The app no longer worked. When you tapped on the app it would just stay on the linear logo. I Uninstaller and rei stalled app. They same thing happened. I called the help line provided in the original manual and was told to take a screen shot of what I was seeing and email it to them so they could trouble shoot. I git a con formation email that they received it and never heard anything else. That was March 18th

App no longer stays logged in. the purpose of this app besides being able to open remotely is to get alerts when your garage door has been opened when you weren't expecting it to be opened. I have to constantly check my phone to see if i'm logged out AGAIN to make sure it hasn't been opened without my knowledge. The app used to work fine. Not sure what has happened but it needs to be fixed. If I could use a different app I definitely would.

Company that I bought it from installers said that they knew nothing about it before I could ask. Stayed on the phone with "IT" for over an hour and kept getting different instructions every time we started over. App opens when it wants to, it should not be this difficult. My wifi connection is fine, I have Ring and Alexa. It's no use to me if I paid for a smart device and can't use it.

Multiple occurrences of garage door opening by itself when synced with this app over several months. App would log an error code during the uncommanded opening events. Uninstalled app and disconnected the garage door opener from WiFi and it hasn't happened again. Coincidence? App UI lags and queues up open/close commands during WiFi/mobile switchover and sends them sequentially once reconnected to the internet at a later time, so the final state of the door you meant to close may still be open!

Plz fix the problems! It was great a few months ago, now it will not stay logged in and half the time it just spins when I'm trying to log in!! Update: 12/11/21 The app keeps crashing, I literally cannot even open it long enough to use it at all!

I keep getting event notifications of devices not in my place. Even though my own garage door is closed and light notifications are turned off. It keeps dropping of the network connection. I have to reassocite or uninstall and install the app. It is 2020 why couldn't you have built support for 5.0 GHz connection. Darn thing is mounted to wall and ceiling else I would have ripped it. Worse thing and useless app.

Loved it and now hate it.... doesn't stay logged in, no more notifications and no more remote opening of the door. Not sure what you did to this app but change it back!!!! Sometimes it's better to leave things as they are, instead of constantly trying to improve them. Point in case it worked and now it doesn't. 🤬😡

Caanot open it on my phone. Just have a blank page. The garage installer tried for almost an hour to help. He was very kind. Still cannot get the app on my phone.
