linguistica – Learn Spanish, French and more

It's good that news in a few languages (if you can understand them) are all included in the same app. Compared with news in slow french, there are no non-free contents included here. But there are less (free) contents included. Also, it doesn't allow selecting/copying text.

I did enjoy the app in general but there are 2 factors that forces me to give a low rating . 1) The slow speed cannot be changed which you can on many other apps. 2) There is no option to copy or paste words except the ones that the app itself has chosen to translate which makes it harder to comprehend the text.

Great app. I hope they will add the advanced classes (Change of Pace) as well. 20 minutes of fresh news in Spanish, with transcripts and translations, every week. You don't even need to sign in. No technical problems so far.

I will stick with the old version. The new version looks prettier but cannot be used offline and you cannot cut & paste difficult parts for translation elsewhere. For me, it is useless.

I just downloaded it. The best app ever for listening. It's free and user-friendly. Ten thumbs up for the developer team! BTW, it would be better if Dutch is added because it's quite difficult to get Dutch learning materials on the internet. Dank je wel!

I have been looking for an app to improve my listening skills in spanish. This app is perfect for beginners as well as intermediates. Wishing i would have found it sooner.

Weekly, current and engaging language learning material...completely free! Nothing like this in the language learning market. Great way to learn French, study Spanish or practice Italian. Love it!

Edit: This is not the app for paid subscribers. They should clarify that this is the free version and members should use their other app. The ui system of everything from the company is all a bit clunky/reminiscent of the 90s including the website unfortunately but still a great resource.

Having loved News in Slow Italian & French this was the perfect, mobile complement to what I was enjoying using on my MAC mini. These have all greatly developed my listening comprehension further supported by the corresponding transcripts which increase my vocabulary.

Not exactly "slow" The speech speed can't be adjusted the way it does on using other platforms such as Google podcast.

Can we talk about how amazing and easy it is to learn a new language with this app? Not to mention its updated daily. Crazy.10/10. Great job to everyone that was involved.

Biased commentaries more than news. News would be nice. Just plain news without an agenda. But I didn't find that here. Uninstalled.

Great app, does it offer also possibility to get the news spoken faster, too? and also in (European) Portuguese?

Really very good. I practice german, french and italian with this application at the same time. Resounding accomplishment!

I like it so far but I do have a suggestion though. Can you guys make the Instant Translation for all words instead of a specific ones?

More restricted access to podcasts. Useless
