For $200+ you'd think they would be able to provide the service we paid for. The app is finicky at best. It actually tracks my pet a solid 10 percent of the time when she gets out. When I'm away, I like to check up on her but the app blocks the tracking gps feature saying that she's with me when she very clearly is not. Hopefully there will be some improvements where the collar remains connected to your phone and the gps is actually live and not delayed by 10 minutes. As of now, one star.

ok app when it works. this is really the only thing out there that has both monitoring and training functions which is why we got it but the training is very lacking. it's extremely difficult to connect with multiple people on the account, I don't understand how it decides which phone gets to control the training functions. wish there was a widget for the training functions too. I would consider returning it if I could but my dog scuffed it up bad, should've gotten the protective sleeve.

Tried for 2 years, not renewing. I tried to hang in there, with promises that it would improve, but it has not. EXTREMELY slow to "connect* to the dog when dog has gone outside of the WiFi range, resulting in dog getting further and further away before actual location can be found. Battery life on unit also so short, it makes it very difficult to keep it charged or to find dog after battery has run out. Lasts 24 hours or less.

so far it works well, there was a minor glitch in setting it up, it wouldn't accept the credit card used to purchase it for the account, but after turning it off and placing it on the charge station to fully charged, then back on and doing a firmware update it went thru without a problem. FYI a nice future update would be making the white beacon light flash on and of in a pattern on command. like sos.

Things to improve but invaluable to us! With 2 ambitious English Springer Spaniels and a 2 young boys that don't notice the dogs running past them we ha e definitely gotten our use out of the Link devices and the app. The Link customer service surpasses any I have experienced. Always kind and attentive. Cons: I cannot add our 3rd dog which we do not have a device for. It would be great to have all our vet records in one place. App doesn't update real quickly when my dogs are on the move.

The app is very sketchy... My brother and I have the same app in the same house yet he can control the lights and beeps most of the time, while I never get the option to turn either on. The buttons just stay grayed out. Constant told that there is no firmware for the color, yet it will never install even if I turn the car on or off while sitting on the base overnight. Looking elsewhere now...

this app leaves alot to be desired. The info pages that give education on how things work have half the info hidden behind a second info screen and it does not scroll so it is useless since it can't be read. in trying to set activities, an error code pops up stating the is no connection to akc link when notifications come thru, only have the notification can be seen. when clicking on the notification, it takes you to link home screen where no notifications exist.

I've been using this product for several years and have had no issues. But I had to contact support for help today because my tracker has been acting flaky. I talked to Jeannie and she was able to get me squared away by sending out a replacement. Great, friendly, professional support that I appreciated in a frustrating situation. Thanks!

Bad product, not worth the money. whistle works better had both. this one can't geolocate correctly, and the collar is garbage. The battery life is terrible. it barely lasts 24hrs. Whistle lasted about a month before needing a recharge. It had a few false positives, but not as many as this one. You might as well use a blue tooth tag it still be just as useless and not cost over $100 a year. Most people buy this, because they need it. They will be really sad when they lose their dog.

I cannot create a login and it will only let me login with my Facebook account. I cannot change my subscription through the app. Additionally, the service provided is terrible. I've contacted the company several times and have yet to receive responses on my issues/concerns.

DO NOT BUY THE LINK GPS. IT DOES NOT WORK, AT ALL. Either the app or the device, I don't know. But it doesn't stay connected. It's fine all day while the dog is with you (and it shows, "dog is with you", but it randomly goes offline. And as soon as she gets out of your site it's definitely offline. No 24 hr support to help locate. What kind of people do not properly test and put out a faulty product like this, one that people rely on for their pets' safety.

This app works fine if your dog is within bluetooth radius. Trying to use the Lost Dog feature is a joke. My dog ran off the other day (thankfully we found him quick). But we could not track him. The GPS spent FOREVER loading and then it had the audacity to say he was safe at home. When he clearly wasn't. The gps collar was set correctly on the back of his neck and we have no issues with any other kind of gps tracking device. Just this collar.

The app does exactly what it is supposed to do. But where they really earn 5 stars is their customer service. We started having issues with our link collar unit and after contacting customer services to try and troubleshoot the issue couldn't be resolved and we were sent a new collar unit and a new base unit. Would recommend the link to anyone.

Bought these for my huskies so i could keep track of temperatures they were in. I keep getting alerts about temperatures while they are laying on the floor next to me. In a 70 degree house!! Nowhere near the 30 and 90 threshold i have it at. No matter what it keeps going off when they are sleeping. Contacting customer service to cancel service once they open. Had issues where it says my dogs are with me when they are not. Battery life is horrid.. 24hrs at most. Then needs recharged.

I'm only giving LINK AKC a 5 star review because when it's working, it's great. For the past 6 months, it'll state my animal is near me, she actually isn't and vis versa. Customer Service Representative's are absolutely outstanding and go well out of their way to assist you. Once the issue of inaccuracies between the collar and base unit, are resolved, I'll be a happy customer again.

The signal is not always synced. It tells me my dog is away, when she is near me.

Amazing customer service! Once you get the initial setup, you are fully taken care of from then on. I haven't had to use the lost dog feature yet, but I feel so much more secure knowing that it's available.

For a collar that uses both gps and cellular service I believe it lacks in in a few area's. To make this collar better #1) the unit sits on the bottom of the dogs neck causing signal interference so there needs to be some kind of an antenna Incorporated into the collar. #2). The ability to store location while the dog is in a dead spot and uploading it through the cellular network once they return to a good signal area. All in all for the price of the collar I'm happy but the contract is a joke. Don't charge people for a system that has development issues.

The technology works fine. Its functionability is not intuitive. My dog plays hard and GPS sleeve needed to be replaced. Link said they would send another. Sadly, still waiting. Meanwhile using duct tape. For the cost of this device I should not have to duct tape my GPS onto my dog's collar

App is a good idea. The location services for the collar are awful. The firmware updates are constant. The notifications by the app are insrusive.

Great equipment for my hyper baby who loves to run! The staff are wonderful and always answer the phone. Super easy to set up. I highly recommend this product!

Hasn't worked since purchased. 2 firmware updates did not work. "Adventures" start and then disappear. App tells me I need to be with my dog when I AM WITH MY DOG. Now I'm told it may well be my phone. I have asked for either a new unit or refund. Crickets on their end.

It's slow to update, when it does. Not good for actually tracking dogs. Battery life is good unless you are actually tracking. :(

needs work. should be able to turn collar light off and on whenever you want. plus it takes forever to update location.

It's ok. The GPS is spotty at times. Also its hit and miss that it's working. The base station keeps moving on it's own.

Very unreliable app quits working all the time have to delete it and reinstall it every 4 to 6 weeks to get everything to work on it

Sometimes bugs out, at first would have gave it 1 star. The longer I use it, the better it gets. Not to mention the great updates they've made recently

Drains the battery a bit too much. And the collar we have is very slow for tracking purposes.

I find this app to be very reassuring. If my puppy gets off her leash I should be able to find her. The only thing better would be a training collar/GPS combo.

Update the tracking part of the app! I have a hound that runs and it's frustrating to not be able to track her easily
