Link to Cell

App works but missing a few features on Samsung phone. The notification feature for inbound text/email/alerts does not respect the 'do not disturb' mode so overnight emails can (and do) wake people up. All the notifications could use a little more detail than the current "message" or "text from". Never fills in with a name or number that either is from.

This app used to work. The latest updates have stopped the app from working properly. Now when you try to place a call most of the time it shows the cell phone is busy when it's not. If you try to end the call from the cordless phone the cell phone still stays connected. Reverted back to version 2.3 and installed from an APK file now the phone works right.

I purchased Panasonic bluetooth phones thinking you would be able to make a call via the cordless phones via bluetooth and you can not. What a disappointment and a total waste of money . Not to mention the garbage app has never worked on my android phone. In fact, when I install the app, it screws up my link to the bluetooth phones, so now I can not hear the ring of my phone and have to reconnect them. This is the last Panasonic purchase I will be making.

Worked great until last update. Now text messages announce "text message from" and will not announce the sender. Also the phone no longer rings when an incoming mobile call is recieved. How can I get the updates off so it will work again? Update: contacted Panasonic customer service they say "there is nothing wrong with the app" and told me to "send the phone in for repair". I searched online for the apk file and downloaded the old version 2.03. Now it works fine. It is the app!!

Works well enough, announces text messages and the sender name (if name in the phonebook). However, it also announces Discord and Snapchat notifications as "text message from" and no way to disable without killing smartphone notification. The "app list" for controlling notifications in this app is not exhaustive and does not work well. Edit: removed star because Do Not Disturb is ignored.

after multiple times uninstalling and reinstalling the app. checking app permissions are on and unpairing and re pairing my galaxy s9+ with android 9 update to my Panasonic house phone. the text message notifications are NOT WORKING! got told they are. just get "text message from" no name. I loved knowing who's texting without being close to cell. also newest update took forever to pair my cell phone again and lost contacts stored on house phone and get error when downloading phonebook again.

No longer working. Had issues with new Moto phone and had to install this app. Now the app doesn't work either. Very disgusted...the reason for buying a Panasonic Link to Cell phone was the blue tooth....now that doesn't work either. Would update phone but have no guarantee my cell phone will work with a new panasonic link to cell..

Since the March 13 update, text messages have stopped identifying the sender from Contacts. I thought it was my system & tried several fixes but now I noticed that other reviewers are having the same issue. It was a great app and I hope they get it fixed soon. UPDATE 4/13/19-Still no fix to the text message "bug" and radio silence from Panasonic, both on this site & through email. It would sure be nice if they'd at least acknowledge the many complaints here. UPDATE 7/19/19-App now working****

The latest update broke the text message alert. doesn't announce the persons name. I had to manually install the previous version of the app which I recovered from my old phone to fix it. whatever bug they apparently fixed, they made a new one and its a big one.

This app was working wonderfully until recently. It notifies me when I have a text from a business (with just 4 or 6 digits in the from #) but it no longer notifies me when I have a text from an individual in my address book. I loved this feature. BRING IT BACK!!

After two uninstalls and two reinstall the Panasonic App does NOT work! Before being forced to use this APP for all intents & purposes, the purpose for me buying it and through the Bluetooth feature directly from my cell phone to the Panosonic phone worked perfectly fine. No, the bug isNOT fixed!

Samsung S5 worked great. Did not have to install Link to Cell,, it just worked great. Samsung S8 with android 9.. does not work at all. very disappointed. I did download & install the 2.03 version like some on this site said. It did not work either

My DECT phone is paired and works, it just doesn't ring for calls or texts. A message comes up on this app "This app requires a Panasonic DECT phone base unit to be paired via Bluetooth". It already is paired. Is there a solution?

Seems to do what it says it will do. I installed on both a Samsung S8+ and an Acer Liquid Z410 (older, cheaper phone). On the S8 even the original cellphone ringtone goes through to the kx-tgd564 handsets. On the Acer I had to match the ringtones manually. Anyway, very pleased with the link2cell.

Very Unhappy! Ever since the last update, phone no longer announces the name of the person texting. Change it back to the old version. Newer isn't always better and in this case it definitely isn't. Makes me want to go out and buy a different brand of cordless phone.

Seems to work well, but is annoying when texting as it announces every incomming message. Would be nice to have an option to not announce repeated texts from the same person if less than 20 or 30 seconds apart.

Have been enjoying this app however since last update bluetooth no longer connects automatically. Update: After unpairing/re-pairing (twice) function returned to normal and now reconnects automatically when in range. Happy again!! 😎

what heck? since the update, ALL my messages, not just texts, get notified on the telephone and I can't find anywhere in the settings where to change it. Also, when I get a messenge on Messenger, the phone will tell me I have a text message but does not say from whom. its quite annoying. It was just fine the way it was before. Why did you change it?

Last update broke text message feature! We now only receive Text Message From! very, very disappointing app support. I didn't ask for an app update that would break the App! I am going to look for a different brand of phone system to buy from now on.

Apparently you can get a text message alert but you can't read the message on the Panasonic handset. You have to read it on the cell phone. The support information on the internet is worthless. I haven't been able to find where it addresses anything by voice messages.

This looks like a scam from Panasonic again. The app was working perfectly. This 2.4 update doesn't support the current phones anymore and the 2.03 version of the software needed has been permanently removed. Now you have to buy the newest Panasonic phones, because current software has screwed older phones up. Who cares about a happy customer? Nice going. Just keep EVERYBODY ELSE spending money on your new product because "I" WILL NEVER "BUY" ANOTHER PANASONIC PRODUCT AGAIN. And I do mean "BYE".

The phone keeps trying to link with the with the phone home phone even though the app is not installed and I disable Bluetooth connection with the home phone I'm getting Non-Stop notifications about every 30 seconds something's wrong with his app.

Worked adequately until the last update, now will no longer announce the name. 03-13-19 did not resolve the issue. Latest: it's NOT the new Android or Samsung update, it's the new Link to Cell 2.05 and 2.06. Google the 2.04 APK, download it to your phone, download a good APK manager app also, uninstall 2.06 and install 2.04 and you're back in business.

used to work good. Now doesn't tell you who is messaging you. And all types of messages trigger a notification not just text messages. Why was this changed. Very annoying.l

This app is useless. Panasonic detect phone pairs well with older Android 6 phone for both calls and text alerts, no app is required. Android 8 phone works well for calls, again, no app required, but will not alert for text messages even with this app.

Worked great up until a week or so ago. Now does not say names and also send notification to phone for some (but not all) facebook messenger posts even though I do not have that checked as an option. Please fix!

Having the same problem with text messages not coming through Panasonic phone...bluetooth is paired with cell phone but stopped working with texts in the last week or so.

Used to work flawlessly. Now, ever since updating beyond V2.03, this app no longer transfers text message info to my Panasonic DECT phone for voice announcement. Hope it gets fixed soon.

My rating is down from 5 stars back when text announcements included the name of person texting. If enough people do the same, maybe Panasonic will understand that one doesn't try to fix something that's not broken.
