The app won't even open. All permissions allowed, uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache (even though there was nothing saved), phone restart. Nothing worked.

This is the single worst digital code redeeming option I've ever seen. The code you have to scan is far too small and the app itself it not sophisticated enough to handle it. You have to put your phone way to close to it, meaning it's easy for it to become out of focus, and you have to use the bright light for the app to see the holograph, making it even easier for everything to come out of focus. Use the simple QR code like every other app does. It actually works, unlike your product.

Not a horrible experience but not pleasant either. Had a hard time getting it to actually scan the code. With some work might be a good idea but if they don't make it better then I'd still rather have a code then a useless app. Be nice if all the digital movie places merged to one with one app like this to make things smoother.

This app is horrible! The digital copy code that came with my bluray purchase has been impossible to scan using the app. (Yes, I tried the troubleshooting options; & no code underneath.) It is even impossible to read their terms and conditions, because the app won't let you scroll to the next "page." I'm returning the bluray I bought. If you want a digital copy, buy one directly from Vudu or its equivalent. Don't waste your time or money trying to redeem a digital copy through this app.

This is an app that makes adding a digital copy to a digital library unnecessarily difficult. I purchased a movie with digital copy and had to try four times on the app. I tried the alternative ways to get, but the code failed on the movie redeem page. I couldn't send an email. Their links seemed broken. They essentially force you to getting this lousy app for a digital copy.

The experience scanning the hologram is terrible. It took me around 5 minutes to get a good scan with excellent lighting. It's hard to believe someone in charge at lionsgate actually used the app prior to release. If this is the best experience you can give a customer then just stop and come up with other options.

Horrible app! Installed app, finally after 30 minutes got to scan. Then while trying to go to email it kept telling me password was incorrect. By the time I got into email, movie scan and app disappeared! No icon, nothing even though it says app installed. Probably have close to 500 digital movies. First & last time I will ever go through this, never again!

When scanning the reflective Q code I was having trouble. The light from my flash kept changing causing the reflection to change. I went to a well lit room and I still could not get it to scan from about 3 inches away. Pulled the phone back to about 7 inches and the reader instantly accepted the code. Seems the app relies too much on the phones camera specs to trigger. Needs correcting. The app worked but I gave it a 2 due to difficulty in getting it to read the code. Uninstalled afterwards.

Oh my goodness. I typed the code 10 times...still an error message. I scanned the QC about 10 times and it said I needed more light. Okay. It's a sunny day outside and I used the sun light and it still displayed an error that I needed more light. Really! How much more light than the sun. Anyway, help. I put all my movies in Movies Anywhere or Vudu. I'm very frustrated.

Unfortunately, a rating is required and if I could give it 0 stars, I would. The app doesn't really work as an app when you're redeeming, it brings you to your mobile device's browser, which depending on what phone you use as well as browser, it may or may not work. I tried it between 4 mobile devices and at least two different browsers on those, and it's like where certain parts of the page would place videos or pictures, it covered up parts you were supposed to press. I tried it on my desktop computer and two different browsers and the app wouldn't register the code. Why do this? Just give up and make the code redeemable through the 3 or 4 other major companies. If I see Lionsgate from now on on the box, I'm not buying the disc/code and I'm just buying it from digitally from Google or Amazon or Movies Anywhere.

Horrible app. Would give 0 stars if I could. Takes several tries to get the app to accept the hologram, and after that you dont get the code unless you agree to be put on a mailing list and let them sell your email. Then you have to login to vudu through this sketchy app browser to redeem it. Also, it asks for location access. There's no need for location access to redeem a code. This whole app is just a way to grab some data to sell to advertisers.

All this app does is direct you to your preferred digital locker (mine is Vudu). Once you redeem your code, there's no reason to keep this app. While almost all the other studios are making it easier for customers to access the digital copies of their movies (especially with MoviesAnywhere) Lionsgate is making it increasingly more difficult.

Terrible app. It won't scan under any light. I even. The assistance is poor. No description of how the refections should be seen. No picture examples. 20 minutes of trying make types of lighting and even taking a larger picture and scanning that doesn't work. Please add in a manual code entry since the reflective material could be damaged.

Totally unnecessary experience to redeem a digital movie copy. Scanning of qr code would be fine, authenticating the stupid hologram was messy at best. All to the flash up the REAL code for a second that could have more easily been printed in the case insert. I don't understand why this was done. It took a 30 second process and turned it into a frustrating 5 minutes. This is nothing against the developers, but against Lionsgate for thinking this was a good idea.

Might be legal, but it's wrong. App worked right, scanning the code within a couple seconds, then giving the option of what streaming service to redeem the digital copy through, such as VUDU. BUT the app (and the webpage) requires that you provide your email and agree to receiving ads from them and their 'affiliates'. Ready to unsubscribe from more junk mail.

Unimpressed. I started my digital collection for ease of access. I own well over 1000 digital movies from multiple film companies. I no longer purchase hard copies that do not include digital. However, needing a separate app to redeem a digital copy is unnecessary. If this is the future of digital copies, I'm finished with my collection. When I'm shopping for movies in the future, I will think long and hard before I purchase another Lionsgate film, because I've already uninstalled this app.

It took 10 tries to get it to scan the hologram. I had to set my phone overhanging a box, prop up the sheet with the QR code and have it slightly tilted with the flashlight on. Ridiculously complicated. Just give us Movies Anywhere codes that we can redeem on VUDU. It's faster and simpler. WAY TOO MUCH involvement on this one.

Like many others, I was annoyed by having to download this app just to get the digital copy of a movie I purchased. However, let's be fair and make this a review of the app. The app does not work well. I tried again and again to get the app to scan the QR code and hologram. After 10 minutes or so, and changing locations for better lighting, I finally had a successful scan. All of this just to be redirected to the internet. Absolutely rediculous.

This is hands down the worst app I've ever had the displeasure of using. The app worked fine-ish, I was able to get the code after several tries, however there is no reason for this to exist. After installing it requested my location permission. I'm still baffled as to why a useless app used to redeem a digital copy has any reason whatsoever to request my location data. This is 'digital transformation' gone awry. I hope the executives responsible for this app realize that this was poorly thought out, poorly executed and a perfect example of 'just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should'

What a joke. Says it put the movie in my library and when I go to my library it shows I can rent it but not watch it. I didn't buy a 4K Blu ray so I could rent it from VUDU. Lionsgate do you really have to make things as difficult as possible. There's this great new service called movies anywhere you might want to look into it. Update it only took about 4 days but eventually it actually showed up in VUDU.

Horrible! I agree with everyone else that this is a tedious and needless app to just get you to redeem at vudu or other site. I had trouble with it from the outset, and when I tried to put the code in online it kept saying it was invalid. I emailed the help address 3 times and got no response as of yet. If this is the procedure going forward for Liongate digital copies, I definitely won't be purchasing any more of their titles. Ridiculous to make this so unnecessarily difficult.

Terrible app. Can't get it to accept any scan. Tried multiple rooms with various lighting levels and types, camera light on/off, different distances, and different backgrounds. Says there is a code in case you can't get scans to work. But then they disabled all of the codes.

This takes the normally simple redemption of a digital copy and turns it into a nightmare. I was already frustrated by the idea of needing to install an app just to redeem John Wick 3. Of course it didn't scan properly, so I tried the redemption code online and was told I needed to email Lionsgate. They then required me to submit a ton of personal information, and pictures of my receipt, the digital copy insert, and error message on the movie redeem website. It then took them a full week to issue a replacement code. No other studio makes this process so convoluted and complicated.

I would rate this zero stars if I could. I shouldn't have to install an app, give it location and photo permission, have it crash twice, then have to take 3 photos because it says it "cant see the hologram" and subscribe to a news letter to get a digital copy for a movie I bought at WM. Nobody else does this. I might just have to stop buying Lionsgate movies if they pull this nonsense again.

This is ridiculous. There is no reason we should need to install a separate app to redeem a code. Just an excuse to get their app installed on people's phones to gather location and data. Plus it's super hard to get the code to scan. Just give us a regular code! It works perfectly fine. Maybe include a regular QR code if you want to make it "easy and convenient".

Unlike seemingly every other review, I didn't have any problems getting the QR code to scan. My problem is that the redemption code provided came up as "invalid" and forced me to use the app in the first place. Turned a simple process into a far more complex one. I will immediately be uninstalling the app now that I have redeemed the movie.

Yes it works but this is overly complicated. I could see this app being a problem if you have a bad camera. Also pointless because it just points you at another service like iTunes google play, or Vudu ounce you scan the sticker . An alternate code to punch into a computer would be appreciated. Also Lions gate should join movies anywhere

Awful way to have to redeem your digital copy. The app took a very long time to accurately read the QR code and produced error after error. Having to download a specialty app to just do this is a complete waste of time when there was a perfectly good way of redeeming that has worked for years otherwise.

The absolute most ridiculously stupid app ever created. Instead of just going to your providers app and entering a code for a digital redemption as you normally would, we're being forced to download this pointless app to in order to scan a hologram. On top of that, it took me almost 10 tries to get the hologram to reflect in the right way for the camera to pick it up. This is seriously the most pointless app I've ever downloaded (or been forced to download)

Tried using the app. I didn't allow access to my location and it wouldn't focus on the logo so I could get my digital copy. So I allow location access only when I use the app and what do you know, my camera suddenly works like it should! Uninstalled right after getting my digital copy. Such a waste of an app.
