Excellent little node-based strategy game. The game loads quickly and is perfect if you ever have a few minutes to kill. Different enemy colours behave differently and require different strategies to defeat. I finally bought the expansion and I can say that overall it is worth it for the amount of content it adds to the game. There are however still a few small issues that I have with game balance. Perhaps I'll detail those in an email to the developer sometime.
A rarely found genuinely enjoyable game. The recent updates just made many things better, and it was fun to replay it to try to get different achievements. Also, finally the game where you don't have to hit all the goals at the same time, meaning you can have a speedrun playthrough and a calculated turn-based playthrough separately. Kind of feels like a turn-based game because of the time it takes for the stars to spawn, so you have time to make plans even though it's real time.
Fun, addictive and surprisingly deep. The music is very relaxing and gives the game a very nice atmosphere. No intrusive ads stopping the game all the time is a big bonus these days. Totally worth purchasing the complete level pack, even though the custom battles makes the game basically infinitely replayable for free. I'd like to see a real time player vs player mode (maybe using Bluetooth or WiFi direct?) in the future, but so far my favorite game in a long time! :D
It's a fine slimmed down rts, nothing much unique, but fun for what it is. My only issue with the program itself is that drag scrolling doesn't work if you initiate on top of a button, which is very noticeable in the level select screen. Its a bit bothersome that right after purchasing this game the first thing I see when I open it is "buy the rest of the levels and features" at the top. I just bought this game, and you want me to buy it again? Hmm.
You shouldn't be able to click on the System under the buttons. I'm not even at 3-1 yet and I've already wasted at least 15 moves due to the Button not stopping the system behind or beside it from being selected. Also, if the enemy has no Systems I will win as soon as their Ships land, even if they take a System back with their final Ships. I have gotten 3 Level clears where that happened, the Bug either was not fixed, or is back, even though it was claimed to be fixed in the patch notes.
If a free to play game warrants me to purchase more levels, is offline, and has gotten me to keep on playing to 100% it and obtained 24 out of 26 achievements, I think it warrants a 5 star. Some of the 3 star challenges I had to check on Youtube, but that only covers the free levels. After buying the extra levels, I was able to find myself completing both normal and hard mode on all the DLC maps. I've completed everything. The only thing I'm working on is the 1000 battle achievement and see what the secret achievement is. This has fueled my hunger for more games like these for single player offline time wasting. I love these types of games. My recommendation for future updates 1. Custom Build your own maps 2. Galaxy Wars - Just like a typical tournament ladder. A set number of opponents fight each other in real time in their own systems. Once the system has been conquered, a new path in real time is shown to a new system where the winner of another system will soon join. The catch is, the sooner you win your 1st battle and move your ships to the 2nd system first, you have the 1st advantage of conquering the planets.
Edit Aug 21st: I liked the game so much that I purchased the full edition, after a phone reset the game reverted to the f2p levels only...? There doesn't appear to be any way to restore the purchased content myself. Help would be appreciated! Back to 5 stars when its restored. (Original) This is a gem of a game! Pretty straightforward gameplay, but the challenging levels peppered in keep you actively engaged in strategic thinking. Great for dipping into when you have idle time - addictive :)
I came here to leave a good review for a fun, addictive little game but was surprised at some of the reviews. The other reviewers don't seem to understand that units get used up when they hit a shield or that upgraded shields have multiple levels which would explain how they don't take planets. I think the game should probably explain this aspect better as these people are giving up and missing out on a great game. It's a very simple and seemingly easy game until you start to try to get Perfect on every level and you begin to realise how cleverly the game creator has crafted the levels to force you to try new and different strategies. This is especially surprising for such a simple game. I look forward to the next one, it'd be cool if there were new features so we had to come up with even more different strategies for different levels.
So I got the premium version when it was on sale, yet it didn't unlock the extra levels and it is trying to force me to pay for them. And I have used the same device since I installed it, so it is a problem on your end with the premium version in the store not actually giving you the premium version of the game. Also anomalies are bugged. There is no way to get the stars from the levels, which is annoying because they unlock some cool customization options.
This game is so simple yet still can be challenging. Simple at a glance, but with surprising depth. You can customise the colours and icons for ships, and stars. The sheer amount of missions available is incredible. My only complaint for the game is that it doesn't have Google Play cloud sync. I would absolutely love to be able to play on my phone while out and about and continue the same save on my tablet once home
Great game! Quick to the action and easy to learn as long as you're not a complete moron. My 3 year old even plays on her tablet (try it on a bigger screen and the game is even more amazing). Just wish I could have some kind of influence on my starting point in custom games and it would be perfect. I hate spawning in the middle of a map on toaster difficulty with max opponents!
Bought premium and all the galaxies then when it got to be too easy, I switched to hard mode. But everything is greyed out in hard mode, no levels to select. Wrote the dev and no response. No sense playing any more levels on normal mode, once you get the hang of it, it's the same strategy on every map.
Even after some years, I go back to this game! It is amazingly fine tuned! Though at one moment on random levels I am able to predict who wins from just seeing the map. It desperately needs an update, but one that do not break anything available now in this gem.
The single player is pretty fun and at times quite challenging. But I really expected the multi-player to not be Local only. The turn based method of multi-player really kills the feeling of needing to make well-thought out actions while at a hurried pace. Regardless, the game as its meant to be played, single player, is still very well designed and can create hours of entertainment if you like this type of strategy game. While it is incredibly simplistic, the mechanics of the game are great.
The mastery curve for this game is much larger than expected. The campaign is good practice for the real challenge: custom battles! It's become more of a puzzle game trying to defeat 3 hard AI with 4 bonus stars on small maps. One really easy change I'd wish for is to load seeds. There are some really well generated diamonds in the rough.
Not an especially original design, but a really nice, clean implementation. Iconography is very small on phones - the design is clean and still highly readable, but some folks may find it a struggle. note that your money gets you 54 levels. The rest are add-ons in the shop.
Probably the game I spent the most hours playing on mobile, bought it on ios as well. I usually install it on new devices and after finishing the main levels just play the generated to chill while watching TV. This time I bought a new tablet and have been trying to get all the stars, it's rewarding but also made so the lack of cloud saves becomes a problem. 5 stars and hope for more dlc but also consider adding this.
For a straightforward game like this I got lots of playtime out of it. The challenges of some levels are exciting and kept me wanting more. Music ambience is perfect. Customisations are behind a unlockable wall (complete X levels, etc.) but arent at all required to enjoy it. Easy game to play while commuting too.
Addictive. Easy to learn but much nuance to be picked up over repeated play. GREAT pick up and play value while retaining thought and skill. Lots of campaign levels, unlimited random generated skirmish levels. I've unlocked all the achievements and logged hundreds of hrs. WISHLIST: The only complaint is IT NEEDS A LEVEL CREATOR AND WAY TO TRADE LEVEL DESIGNS.
Well worth it. Some of you may have played games of a similar nature and if you ended up here then you've found a viable replacement. Kills tones of time and never really gets old. Kind of wish there were bigger maps but no biggie. I only play the campaign until I unlock custom matches.
One of the best game I played ever. Unfortunately I can give 5 start not 10. Challenging, but you can pass any level even hard modes if you think better))) good luck to newcom people!
Great game overall, but I think 300% speed increase is too slow for waiting, make it up to 1000%, also 210% is almost the same as 220%, I suggest make it 25% increment only, like 25% then 50% then 75%, and so on. Also, what do I do to anomalies, tried many stuff and cannot get the star for anomalies, and finally, I want the option to upgrade multiple times, not just once.
Got to level 50 then struggled. Don't understand how I can hit an enemy with 8 units when it has 1 and I don't take it. But if it has 2 it'll beat my 1. No ads but more smarts are needed for this game than I have. No gain for failing. Can't upgrade units. Just try again and again. I'm done.
Great game. Controls are simple and intuitive. No ads! offline play. Getting to 100% completion (within a time limit and limited moves) on each level gives me the feeling of intensity, but it's easy and relaxed otherwise.
I really like the game, and play it for a long time, but now it often randomly slows down and then resumes the normal speed. I am not changing the speed myself, the game does and it's VERY annoying. Can you maybe fix that? Thanks
I believe I downloaded the "paid" version when it was on sale (for free). However, the extra levels are not available, and still need to be purchased. I saw that another person had the same problem which you said you'd work on. While I can understand if you didn't mean to put this on sale, but if you did, then please give those of us who downloaded at that time full access to the levels. Thanks!
Fun enough so far. If you buy the special pack, fully exit the game and restart to make it register. The black stars with the countdowns confuse me. If I send anything to the system it is attached to it says anomaly lost. I don't know if I'm supposed to avoid the star and beat the level before the time ends or what before it isn't mentioned in the tutorial.
