Live AppLock: Video Touch Lock

Used to be a good app but adverts after every single unlock, even if literally locked for a second. Those type ads that put a random x in an awkward to use spot. Also, it randomly unlocks whenever it feels like it, making it completely useless. Look for others.

Screen blacks out on and off. Can't stop it and makes it so I can't unlock the screen cause it's flickering on and off. Concepts great but doesn't work properly. Deleting will try a different app.

After the new update the app stopped working! Touch lock eventually made an update and fixed it. The app locks the screen perfectly the littles ones can't mess with the settings or call anyone by mistake.

So far, not great... Sent an email to support... Hopefully I can get some help... Would really love for one of these apps to actually do what they claim to do... That is, luck pour screen... So far, I've not found one... Will be more than happy to change this review if an when a solution is found...

The new way the app takes over my screen kicking me out of YouTube while it loads an ad is terrible and makes it almost unusable if you're someone who needs to unlock and lock their phone a lot, looking for a replacement app.

It's set to be allowed to show over my YouTube app. I pull down my notifications and it's not there. I keep messing with this and I find no way to make this usable. Does it only work if you get the paid version? Apparently just downloading it does nothing.

Doesn't fully work. My kid can still swipe up from the bottom of the screen and then get into anything else, or gets frustrated coz his video is gone.

After installing the top 5 highest rated touch lock aps and having no success with them, this is the first that actually works for my phone (with my browser YouTube) Good job guys 👍

Just what I was looking for...an app that locks my viewing video and movies...requiring a password...so no one can snoop or change my viewing!

It's not bad but when I put Netflix on and pull the notification thing down so I can lock it, it pauses the show then locks it. I have to unlock the screen using the pin then try it again. Also unless I just didn't see it, give the option to keep the screen in landscape while locked so when on YouTube it won't change out of full screen. If you can fix those I would be willing to try the app again. Thank you for getting back to me. I will give you an extra star from good "customer service"

This app is really great - I'm definitely glad I found it. No issues so far and I love the auto feature. I feel bad for the developer getting all sorts of bad reviews for: 1. Ads - developers have expenses/need to be compensated for their time just like you do when you work. These ads are not very intrusive at all, and removing them is only $3. 2. Functionality - If you are on some older device that the manufacturer doesn't provide updates for, I wouldn't be surprised if you have issues.

App doesn't work the way I would like. When the phone is out of your pocket and you're touching the screen randomly it won't let you do anything but when you put it in your pocket and later pull it out you find that the app has allowed you to do random things unintentionally even though it's supposed to lock you out of doing anything while in your pocket. Once more when you decide you want to dismiss the lock it forces you to go to a separate screen cutting off x so It can say look I did y.

Only locked the screen and not the back and recents. when I went to lock the physical buttons I had to go into the accessibility settings on my phone and give permission. They wanted permission to access every keystroke I put in my phone, which can include my credit card numbers, personal information, etc. I don't feel comfortable with that. Uninstalling the app.

AWESOME customer service!! I had this on my old phone and it worked great. I got a newer one and after a few weeks quit working. I sent and email and got a response within hours the same day! He told me exactly how to adjust my settings after I sent screen shots. It works again! Super happy and impressed by their customer support team. Especially considering this is a FREE app!! I use it so my daughter doesn't shut off YouTube or video calls (: it's truly great!

Loved this app worked perfectly and still does but the ads are outages they used to be simple and quick to load ads but not it takes like 30 or seconds to get back to what I was doing after unlocking it. It used to be only maybe 4 or 5 seconds but now there is this loading screen after an unlock. Please fix them ill fix my review.

It meets my need for video playing but I think it causes my phone to heat up when it is in my pocket. The app has a 'Screen Off' feature which uses phone's proximity sensor. I think my phone heats up because the screen turns on and off frequently as it can't be stable in my pocket and proximity sensor varies detection all the time.

Edit 2: ...also the issue is not with ads existing but that some ads are literal scam click baits. It makes me concerned that the developer would let such ads show. Edit: this app was great in the past but new updates give you not just ads which are static pictures, but videos with automatically enabled sound! What's more a lot of the ads link to very dodgy looking things which is very easy to accidently follow through to. I decided to sadly uninstall the app and stop using it. Such a shame

There are many things I find at fault with this app. First for being an app to keep kids from being able to touch the screen and messing things up, they play ads. How annoying to have to unlock the screen to get rid of the ad because your toddler wants their show back. They are not going to play the games advertised. Second is the annoying button located right in the way on the screen to unlock it. Third is having the locking up in the slide down all the time. It should only be when YouTube

Used to be great, but in last year or so they added advertisements. Not only that but the quality of the app has really gone downhill. It bugs out every time I use it, and sometimes when it's not active I still can't use my screen

One issue that has not been resolved (at least on Android 8.1.0): When you unlock the phone by double-tapping the top right, it is often only partially unlocked: you can type, etc. (I typed most of this message while "Tap to unlock" was visible in the drop-down menu), but e.g. YouTube recognizes a double tap as a single tap, so instead of jumping 5 secs, it rewinds videos; plus you need to unlock the screen two times in a row before you can lock it again. (This doesn't involve the home button.)

Not really doing its job... My 1 year old cracked it within minutes. Do you guys not test these apps at all? Sliding the notification area down while locked briefly shows the navigation buttons which if you press the home button it automatically unlocks the phone. Those tiny little hands seems to always do that combination whenever they grab my phone so no point having it installed. Plus, it is a bit messy setting it up. Clean it up a bit and keep it simple.

Does not work with YouTube. Video quits playing when the screen goes dark. Edit: YouTube does not start playing again when screen is back on, I have to manually click the lock 2x and use my unlock pattern then click play. YouTube is the only app running so there is plenty of ram. You shouldn't advertise that it works on YouTube if it's flawed in this way. Edit: updated youtube still does not work. Works fine to lock screen while its on but not when it goes black.

This app used to be good, however it's been disabling itself constantly without me even touching the screen. It just decides to act like I never even locked my phone, as it doesn't even display the annoying loud ads that always play when I manually unlock it. I'm not sure why it's been doing this, but I can't suggest anyone use it currently. Use a different app until it's fixed.

Two stars as it did lock my screen as stated, but it left a large "lock" icon on the screen which was an easy target for my son to hit and thus open easily. Perhaps it required more customization than I was willing to put into it, but apple just makes it so easy to lock a screen with the touch of a button. Thats what I was looking for in android.

Had to delete as kept locking apps when I hadn't instructed it to do so. Also kept locking main screen so couldn't even get into the app. Good idea. Poor functionality. Clearly needs some bugs fixing.
