Please fix the issue with the audio and video getting out of sync after playing for a bit. This tends to be HD channels like ESPN, TNT, TBS, and NFL network after playing for about 5 minutes. This has been occurring every since the last update I am constantly having the same problem. I have tried reinstalling the app but the issue is still there. Other apps that allow me to watch tv (HD Homerun) does not have this issue. Possibly needs updated to work with the latest Nvidia Shield 9.0 experience.

Same here, I think the application is quite obsolete anod nobody updates it. It's supposed to work on Android TVs (specifically), but it simply doesn't recognize the EPG button on the remote. But the worst thing is that EPG shows NOTHING unless you switch to a specific channel. Then it retrieves the info on current and next program (but only for that channel). This means that if I want to use the EPG, I first need to spend 15 minutes switching channels one by one. So the EPG populates at least something. It's really bad, because otherwise this app is much better than the stock "Live TV" I got with my Philips android tv. If there simply was a developer who would sit down and fixed these issues + the fact that up/down buttons directly switch the channel (instead of showing what's playing on the next channels, without going to EPG), I wouldn't use anything else on my TV.

I did love this application, and some bugs with the HD Home Run have been addressed. However, it keeps asking me to do a 'Source Setup' even though all sources have been setup successfully. This happens randomly while using the TV in any application, so it is annoying. Uninstalling will check back in a few months to see if an update fixes it. Otherwise a great app!

No where near as good as the native TV app on my Sony X900h. No shortcuts to jump to the first or last channel in the list. No way to create a favorites list. No way to search for keywords to find specific shows. When you flip through channels, the top information banner stays on the screen too long and obscures the picture. It's not transparent. It's 2020 and this guide app should be much better. I've seen cable TV guides that are much better.

Has become more stable over the years but there's still one thing egregiously wrong with it. When you use up and down to flip thru the channels, the channels ascend (in number) when you press up and descend when you press down. Great, this is how it should be. But for some odd reason when you bring up the channel guide and start flipping thru the channels, the numbers DESCEND when you press up and ASCEND when you press down. This is just lazy coding, I'm on 1.18 the newest vers too.

I don’t know if this app is relatively new or not, but I downloaded to my new tv with android tv built in, and the interface seems really nice, except, it doesn’t actually work with anything. There’s a program guide, which doesn’t display any actual program info!?! Really, I’m really just hoping this is new and a “Work In Progress”.

I don't know where all of these negative reviews are coming from. I am just using it as an alternative to the native HDHomerun app and as far as I'm concerned it's fine. It's more intuitive than the HDHomerun app and more responsive. With the HDHomerun app sometimes I have to tap my remote several times before it responds but that is not a problem with the live channels app. My only fault with it is it lists Pluto TV as a source but when you try to use Pluto TV there is nothing there. Hence four stars instead of five. But I wanted it mainly for my local channels via HDHomerun anyway. Also, I found at least in my case that it works better if I also have the HDHomerun app installed on my box even though I'm not using it. I am using this app on a Mibox 4.

I like it, when it works. Now I know why it doesn't work. I'm using it with a Silicon Dust HD Homerun, and my signal quality isn't perfect. However - Plex & HD's own app work fine (I'm guessing stream error correction is masking the non-perfect signal). Problem is that 90% of the time Live Channels simply refuses to show the channel and it throws an error (whilst everything else plays it with 'best effort'). It's the same IP stream from the same tuner, so issue must be with this app. My suggestion would be to just again give 'best effort display' - and maybe slap up a warning message if the signal isn't perfect (or let you toggle behaviour in settings)

Using with nvidia shield pro 2019 and HDHomeRun. Navigation buttons are counter-intuitive, hitting back exits out of the app altogether as opposed to going to the guide or something else. A single click and bam! In addition, this app always unfavorites itself, i don't know how or why. If I pin it as a favorite, its gone. If i add it anywhere convenient, it disappears hours later. I wish it worked, I like the guide more than Plex's, and the PIP, but i will stick with Plex.

Works for me to pull my tvheadend feed in from "dream Player TV". Means the TV button on my Sony tv remote now maps to this and launches me straight into tv rather than to the inbuilt tuner that isn't connected to anything. Can see this being a nice way to aggregate various services should I be using any. It wasn't very clear what this app was for until I started messing around with it, so I suspect a lot of the negative reviews tried to use for outside of its actual purpose.

Simply doesn’t work. Downloaded it on my Philips Android TV and despite me giving the app the correct permissions it refuses to recognise the 160+ antenna channels which are already set up on the TV. The only option is Google Play Movies & TV, and the “Get more sources” option just takes me to a screen with “Live Channels” as an option, which when clicked just returns me to the previous screen again. I was really hoping to be able to replace the standard tuner app on the TV as it’s just awful, but it looks like I can’t.

Google somehow broke playback of non-HD content in early 2020. I have a Channel Master CM-7600 Android TV and whenever it records non-HD content with a 16x9 aspect ratio, it plays it back with an incorrect aspect ratio. The aspect ratio is correct if you watch it real time. I have a Full-HD Vizio TV and I've tried it with both the locked 1080p setting and the auto setting. This happens on all non-HD channels in the Denver area. This used to work just fine prior to an update Google released in the first quarter of 2020. HD recorded content (720p or 1080i) always plays back correctly.

Version 1.21 had been working ok, until a week ago two major channels, on virtual 4 and 5 (actually, 48 and 39) changed their carriers. One of them is now on UHF 28 instead of 48. The tuner seems to find the new channels when scanning, and in the right place, but they do not appear in the guide after multiple re-scans and a full restart. Because of this, my Channel Master Stream+ no longer gets 4 and 5. Somehow, without any action on my part, my Tivo Roamio OTA (which uses a proprietary system instead of Live Channels) automatically updated itself and gets the channels fine. Hopefully, Google or Channel Master will fix this soon. Previously I was complaining that my Pluto channels were not integrated into the Guide. I struggled with that over a month ago, and no matter what I did, it didn't work. That seems to have been fixed, I'm not sure when. (10 minutes later) It's working now. I noticed an icon "add new channels" appeared on the home page. I clicked on that and it did another scan. It still didn't find virtual 4 and 5. So then I went back and did yet another scan. This time it got 62 channels (the very first time it had been 72) but now, 4 and 5 work.

At least for a Pluto channel guide, it's better than the app, but what truly annoys me is that you have an option for Sling TV, but yet when I select it, it says it's not available. Why even have it as an option if it can't be used? That's pointless and it gets my hopes up that I can finally have an all in one guide for the live tv streaming services I have (Pluto, Sling, and Philo). Do you or do you not have support for Sling? And if not, why is it even still listed as a source option?

Very important app that is much easier to navigate with than the clunky hdhomerun app (those particular developers seem to have no shame!). In the Live Channels app I put in a channel number and the program quickly jumps to that channel like any decent tv viewing program should. I can actually be comfortable watching live tv on my android box. All that said, is there a reason why the Live Channels app must drop frames on some channels where even the clunky hdhomerun app does not? It is just not as smooth as it should be on some channels when compared to the hdhomerun app.

I like the interface of this app a lot, this is an easy to use application for my parents who use their Mi Box to watch TV, I could easily say it's the only app they use in their Mi Box. On the negative side I think the app logo (on the Launcher) should only be the TV icon and maybe some text that says "TV", also the name of the app (the text that appears below the icon) should change based on the language of the device, for example if it's in spanish instead of "Live Channels" it should say something like "Canales en directo" Also you should add native support for .m3u lists (I know they are used for piracy a lot, BUT there are also many many free public channels that broadcast using that protocol). Should also have a list of free public channels, for example Google could talk with some top channels in each country and have them listed as apps in the Play Store. Also PLEASE add some "shortcut", keyboard press or infrared command to the Android TV OS that could open directly this app, for example some Media key in a keyboard or something.

On a Channel Master Stream+ set top box it is cumbersome to record a program due to lack of a single record button on the remote. Also, there is no Prev button to jump back and forth between two stations. These are standard features on a TV remote. It's a wonder why Live Channels does not support this.

Awful interface. I got this app because I purchased the new Channel Master Stream+ DVR. There is lag when changing channels that I didn't have with my old Channel Master DVR+ or when the antenna runs directly to the TV. I lost much of my DVR capability. There is no way to search for future programs - or if there is, I haven't been able to find it.

Last update broke 2 things. 1) The guide data at loading time - if you try to scroll up and down before all the guide data loads the guide goes crazy. 2)The info bar across the top of the screen doesn't go away on it's own anymore. It stays there until the back button is pressed - normally this times out after X amount of seconds..

For a free app it does a lot, It pulls my channels no issue. There was an epg issue recently but it was updated. Granted I'm on the Nvidia shield. It records no issue. You can also use other apps channels to be pulled in like pluto tv. So you get extra channels all under one app. I use it all the the time, if you set it up right it just runs.

I really enjoy the Channel master. It work as expected. The only flaw is the Live Channel app. It is not very intuitive or accurate. While scanning through channels it will skip to a later date, or time, or both, very annoying.

Was working well until version 1.21 on our Channel Master Stream+. Now the program guide for antenna channels is broken. Hopefully an update will fix this issue. Also, you can only scan for channels with one antenna orientation which is a problem if located in an area with channels distributed in multiple directions. Need a way to manually add channels or scan with the antenna in different directions without removing previously scanned channels.

Actually this app is pretty good. Giving it a low rating to try and get developers attention as i cant find a way to feed back information on a bug. As others have said, if you use a button re-mapper the EPG ceases to work properly. Scrolling the epg moves the time marker to weeks ahead, making the epg useless. Also, when you change channels the channel banner does not auto dismiss. If this gets fixed, i'll change my rating to 5 stars
