Live London Bus Tracker

I think it's a very good app for finding out bus times etc. However, there are far too many adverts that often you have to wait a while to close. I do find them intrusive and inconvenient.

When this app updated they added lots of ads. Now if I'm in a hurry and want to know when the bus is, I have to wait for an ad to load, then click to get it to go away before I can see any info. I have used this ads for years, and am now uninstalling as it is too frustrating.

Really poor - there's only one thing a live bus timetable app needs to do well, and that's give accurate live bus times. This app is totally unreliable. Don't waste your time downloading it

I liked it despite the ads until the latest update introduced an annoying bug. Now, when I use the nearby stops option and click on a stop, the icon pops up with the bus numbers, but disappears before it can be clicked. If you are a bit further away from the stop you want to see then you have to scroll far down the list to find it in order to open it. If you have searched for a stop just outside your radius then it isn't on the list at all (even when you move the map), so you can't check buses there. Please fix this.

Used to be a decent app... until the ads started to increase to showing so often! Now ads show every time you try to interact with the app, even if it's just tapping the 'back' arrow. Seems like greed for the better of the app owners :( Now looking for a decent replacement. I can't rely on an app which shoves ads at me when I'm in a hurry and trying to work out the fastest way to get a connected bus/train! Such a shame.

I've been using this app for years. I'd have given it 5 stars because it's really accurate and helps me plan my journeys every day. Unfortunately, like others have reported, I keep on getting a notification telling me that the app is still running in the background even if I close it so every morning I have to tap on force stop. When I forget to do it, it drains my battery in no time. If the problem is fixed, i will update my review; otherwise I'll have to uninstall it and try a different one.

Originally, I'd have rated it as 5 stars. This app was great and was my go-to one for several years. More recently, it seemed to have lost a lot of accuracy, to the point that you were better off looking out of your home window to see if you could spot a bus coming. The final straw was when I spotted that its continual data download n the background had been responsible for all of my month's data being used up after 13 days. I've deleted it.

Great apart from power hog! Will drain your battery in the background and keep your CPU loaded. Fix this and it would be rated much higher. A year later and power issue resolved. However is not accurate and does not notify of diversions or alterations to services. As of August 2021, all of these issues have been resolved, so now rated higher.

Give us option to go add free. I actually find this app pretty reliable..but what's the point if I'm in a rush, of showing me an advert instead of the information I need?

I've been often let down by this app. Not accurately identifying all bus routes at a stop. Therefore not providing much needed times. I've always had a backup plan when using this. Lately, it's also been stopping alot. And even when closed down as prompted would pop up again with the app stopped advice. Removing to free up space. Nicely laid out and good potential. Maybe I'll come check it later.

This is a good app in terms of the actual interface. You can find your regular stops and add them to your favourites and also order them how you want. The main problem is that quite a lot of the time the underlying data is not available so the app doesn't work.

I've been using this app for years and it was fine until the recent update where I have to force stop the app as it runs in the background and I get a pop up in my notification bar saying 'com.affects.bustracker.MainAndroid..' sort it out or we'll start looking for a different app that does the job perfectly!!

As so many others have said for a long time now, this once-brilliant app seems to run constantly in the background at 22-25% CPU & NOTHING can stop it. It starts itself (even when I never opened it); I force close it, but every time it restarts again. Apart from the obvious heating & battery drain, there are potentially serious issues: why does it run all the time & what is it doing with my data; why won't the Dev fix it, or explain this behaviour? Last chance saloon for me, I'm afraid.

Good overall, but recently started to show popups indicating "app error so needs to be closed". This can occur repeatedly every 20 seconds or so making using app almost impossible. Yes, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it still keeps happening.

What great when I first got it but now the ads that overlay the app are too intrusive and make the app difficult to use. I also agree with other that the cookie setting pages that opens evwrytime you open the app is annoying, asking once is enough! I have uninstalled this app and switched to TFL's own app instead

So I have had the app for a week, I have tried using it on many occasions, at least once a day, and it is just total rubbish and I have not actually been able to use it for its purpose. As soon as I open the app it's an advert and I click back and end up closing the app. If I do manage to get to the app I get the constant reminder to set my favourites and again if I click back it closes the app. This app does not automatically locate you like other apps. I thought I would try it but I will go back to my previous app and would not recommend this app

Used to be a great app but now it stays running in the background using up battery 10% in 6 hours. You have to force stop it to stop it from running, there's also no options in the app to say leave running in the background. May have to find another app now, such a shake as this was a great app

This app was very simple to use before. Now it has uncontrollable pop ups with ads, the nearby bus stop option doesn't work along with other features. What a let down.

Says there's problems on the routes you use but gives no option to view what the problems are. About 70% of the time when I log in I have to go through an annoying cookie preference screen. And quite often it won't even load. This used to be a good app. What happened?

Can't live without this app. Would get 5 stars but recently it continues running and requires a force close to stop it. Other than that it's a decent app. Update: Dropping a star again due to continued force close issues. Fix needs to be in the next update.

usually very inaccurate with the bus times. used to be much better. not sure why its changed. you cannot rely on it. example today told me bus was 12 minutes away yet it turned up and i had to run for it. or sometimes it tells you the bus is 2mins away for 6 or 7 minutes. very annoying!!

This is just one of those apps that you didn't think your use and you ended up using it all the time would definitely recommend to people travelling in London on buses. Saves a lot of headaches standing around waiting

Would've been 5☆ due overall quality of app build/performance. But it'll be 3☆ Why? Annoyed with 'SET AS FAVOURITE' screenover constantly AN AWFUL inAPP TRAP-DEADEND when @EVERY new bus stop choice! Kindly(not PLEASE as i ain't pleading & I AM politely ANNOYED MISSING A BUS CLEARING THIS POINTLESSLY REPETITIVE action that blocks the screen +delays bus info load. Essentially the point of the app!?!) change ASAP. IAU pledge to 5☆ once changed as we build apps & this is a 'CC' Constructive Critique

have used this app and liked it for ages, its quick and easy, but now recently (like other reviews) the app is still doing something and using gps data in the background once its closed, very annoying, i don't need it searching for buses and draining my battery for the other 23.8 hours a day I'm not using it! YES, sort it out!

It's OK but most of the time, especially of late, it will tell you a bus is ages away and all of a sudden one rocks up. Its just not very reliable anymore. Now uninstall Ed and downloaded another app.

Was a good app and I appreciate the need for ads to keep the app free but right in middle of departure board. Does it have to be videos? Why not just do banners like other apps at top or bottom of screen and not too intrusive when someone looking for bus information.
