Live Oak Bank® Mobile

Update 10/15/2020. Still crashes on launch. Looking at the logs of the crash, this crash is occurring in the package com.liveoakbank.depositsmobile, package version 115, version name 1.2.94. The crash is a Null Pointer Exception (java.lang.NullPointerException) in FingerprintModule.java in the method isSensorAvailable, line 105. The Pixel 4XL phone doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, but a face recognition scanner. I suspect the crash is occurring due to incorrect use of the Android API as no other app has this issue and works fine (even if the app says turn on fingerprint for logging in, it will use the face scanner seamlessly). For Live Oak to tell me this isn't their problem, is idiotic and simply wrong. I've put up with this from them for too long and they still won't fix the issue. Previous Update: I am using a Google Pixel 4 XL with the latest Android 10 updates. I contacted Live Oak support and they were quick to respond that the app is working for them and they cannot help me. That I should contact the phone provider. Less than stellar customer service. I may need to bring my business to another bank.

I haven't been able to open this app for 2 months now. I called the bank 2 months ago. The person over the phone says she can open it on her phone but will relate it to their tech team. Now two months later there had not been any updates. I called again with the exact response. I started deleting other apps I had installed recently thinking it might be causing conflicts. Nothing works. Then I saw all the other reviews with the same issue. I had been very pleased with their CS until now.

I have tried everything I can and this app just refuses to work. At first it told me my password was wrong. Changed it and known good. Then it tells me my email validation is wrong and I know for a fact that it isn't. I understand having security, but when the user cannot access their money via the app, you need to fix the flaws.

This app does not work at all. I've used it for years and for the last few months app will not launch it just crashes immediatly. After update still no difference. Very disappointed.

It is really simple and I like it, but I do think it could be updated to be more pleasant to use and look at. It's kinda bare-bones simple... It could be similar to the Marcus app by Goldman Sachs and it'd be brilliant. Something to consider!

This app very often rejects my checks days after I deposit them because they're not clear or the endorsement isn't clear. This has never once happened with my Bank of America app. It's very frustrating. I like it when things just work.

(edited) After some early issues with logging in, the app has functioned well. I'm able to view balances, transfer funds, and see activity. All the basic functions for having a high yield savings account.

By far the most unstable banking app you'll ever use. I've uninstalled twice and am on third install over 4 or 5 months. If their yield drops much lower, this app is all the reason you'll need to find a different bank. No joke. Unfortunate I can't award zero stars.

It is nearly impossible to login to this app. It requests a confirmation code, sends it to e-mail, but when you switch to e-mail to read the code, this app closes. You must have another device just to read the code from e-mail.

Ok, except the fingerprint sign on does not work properly. Might work once and then stop working. Hoping you will do something to improve this app!

Thia app crashes whenever I attempt to open it. If this bank can't get a simple mobile app to work then maybe I don't need to put my money in it. Live Oak Bank needs to contact Fiserv, FIS or some other reputable Fintech company and purchase a Mobile banking platform because this is plain horrible for users.

I like Live Oak as a bank and think the founder is a great guy but this app every so often won't recognize my biometrics. Then I have to delete the app and re-download. All other bank apps work fine with biometrics, only this app has the issues. Any suggestions or updates being made? Thanks

After my 3rd download i have to rate this app. The app crashes upon its startup. Developer please work on this. This is online banking the app should be working nearly perfectly. Let me know when you fix. Thanks.

Newest update doesn't work. Crashes whenever I try to open it. Using android 8.0.0. Please fix it!

Works great. Unlocks with fingerprint. Scans and uploads check, displays same info as web site using a PC.

App won't open. Please fix issue. If I had known the app wasn't usable I would have gone elsewhere to open an account.
