Allows any live wallpaper to be used as an "always on display" or "daydream" screensaver while a device is docked and/or charging. Works perfectly on every version of Android including my latest phone with Q. Thank you very much to Cypher Cove, and thank you, too, for the added functionality!
I hope the developer still looks at the reviews. so he knows that several years later this application still works and is still awesome. I've waited a long time to finally be able to use this on my Amazon Fire HD 10 and it's pretty cool. I just wish a similar app existed for the lock screen wallpaper.
Because google assistant stopped working when screen is off, with this app I am able to put a black screensaver and continue using google assistant as if nothing happened. Thanks
Was using Lucid Daydream to display live wallpaper as screensaver, but it stopped working after android update, this fills that niche perfectly. Thanks for the great app!
Works as expected but...it doesn't scale my LP full screen like it normally shows in the background.
It works, especially the Google photos function. Straightforward and no nonsense app.
Does not work, screensaver crashes after a few seconds. Samsung a20 one ui 1.1 Android 9
Concept is great but it doesn't work on Android 10
It works as it says, that is turns the current live wallpaper into daydream (screen saver).
Is there a way to use a live wallpaper as a daydream without also using it as a wallpaper?
lol nice app for that phone not having day dream
Exactly what it says on the tin!
very cool.
Google Nexus 4 - Runs after picture tube animation. The concern is that when you return from daydream, it does not prompt for your pin, pattern, or face like the original Daydreams do. Fix this for 4 stars and add selection for which live paper to use for 5 stars.
Just discovered daydreams. I like this app, but two things I noticed that weren't quite as nice as the 4.2 daydreams. 1) The transition into the daydream only happens after the blink. (The animation provided by android that looks like you're turning an old tube TV off). The other daydreams fade in with no blink. 2) Exiting the daydream is more diffcult. On the 4.2 daydreams, I can move my bluetooth mouse and the screen wakes. If touch to wake is disabled, I can't wake with the mouse at all. *) IMHO touch to wake really should be an option that is on by default, since the built in daydreams work this way. I can understand why the option is there though, since lots of live wallpapers respond to touch.
This does exactly what it tells you it will: it displays your CURRENT wallpaper ONLY as you dreamscape - whether your wallpaper is live or just a static, 2-d image. Unfortunately you CANNOT use a DIFFERENT live (or static) wallpaper than what is set as your desktop/homescreen wallpaper. This is a big downer in my opinion since i would prefer to use ANY homescreen lwp/wp on my phone but want to keep only one lwp as my daydream! Hopefully this will be fixed - or i will to find another daydream app that can.
I've used this on my S4 and now my Nexus 5X and it works great. Just waiting on a USB a to c so I can root and install a mod to hide the on screen nav buttons and it will be perfect (stock daydream doesn't hide them, nothing dev can do about that I don't think)
Lovely live wallpapers, but in order to have it set as daydream it also has to be set as the live wallpaper. Daydream will be whatever your wallpaper is. Selecting lifeblood, or dna and hitting start daydream does nothing. The square box live wallpaper works as daydream for 4 seconds and blacks out. Setting lifeblood or dna as the active wallpaper means daydream works fine, but I don't want live wallpaper, only daydream. Any fix? Oppo Find 7, NamelessROM n3, android 6.
The phone goes to sleep as normal instead of going to daydream. Only after I wake the phone and unlock it does it show the live wallpaper as a daydream. EDIT: It's HTC's lockscreen that's at fault. If you're rooted and you switch to the stock lockscreen the live wallpaper WILL show up after the phone goes to sleep.
It only works after you enter your password at the lock screen, which means that it doesn't work. Using the Paperland Pro Live Wallpaper, although it doesn't seem to be limited to it (the Asus ones, ditto). Would give 5 stars if I could actually use it.
Not bad. I can use my current LWP as my DayDream. I like it. Only option I'd add is to have a clock or the time show as well. It's the only option I'd add IMO. Aside from this not bad at all
HTC One android version 4.2, this is not exactly working atleast on HTC One. The screen goes blank (off), however daydream in background get started. Pressing power button again brings the daydream. It does not kick off from lock screen. Any suggestions
I just wish it would use the whole screen. I don't want to see the Nav Bar while using daydream.
What if instead of using the current live wallpaper the app could display any live wallpaper installed on the device. Think about this and update the app.
My HTC one suffers from slow charging and gets very hot when using this daydream app.. it also crashes when you try and go into settings
The app work just fine, but the daydream mode doesnt run on fullscreen.. All the virtual buttons still shows when the daydream mode runs
I love this app. I love using the Daydream/screensaver mode on my devices. Unfortunately, most devs don't make LWPs that work with it. This solves that problem. Now all of my wallpapers can be screensavers
Does not go to lock screen like other daydreams and also shows up in recent apps. Could fix it for root users
A solid idea, it would be nice to see some additional controls to suppress backlight in darker rooms and a clock function would get that top rating from me.
A simple program, allows use of live wallpaper features for something that the android OS could easily let you do, (but strangely doesnt) And does just what it needs to do, nothing extra like with Lucid. It would be preferable to set the daydream to any one live wallpaper installed, rather than the one set to homescreen.
