this app wasnt bad. my issues were three fold: 1. Everytime my phone had to restart or other random reasons it freezes and defaults to seattle time zone. Have to uninstall and reinstall the widget 2. full screen ads unpleasant although i understand the need to keep the app free 3. default picture - wish it was customizable, as it did not go with the design of my phone. Because of issue #1 I'm switching to a different app.
Update, 1 year later: The radar is better, if you can find it. The app has so many ads that I couldn't find how to open the radar screen. When I finally found it, I got a full-screen ad asking me to buy "windy". Guess what? The "windy" UI is awful. To the app developer: find another provider. To potential users: find another app.
Ad's Ad's and more Ad's! You can't even get a quick forecast check without an ad popping up. Then the ad's locks your IM screen until you try to close the pop up window. But you can't and automatically launches the advertisement, trying to get out of the advertisement iscacreal treat, really tries to lock you in. I like the graphics and the layout. Too bad about all the useless ad's!
Wouldve rated it better but the news part doesnt work anymore. Ive tried disconnecting and reconnecting, i uninstalled and reinstalled but didnt change anything. Really disappointed because i had used it daily and multiple times a day and now its just getting more and more frustrsting. Will probably uninstall and find a new one if it doesnt change soon.
TOO MANY ADS they take over my phone! I can't stand it!! I have to stop & remove ads be I can use the phone. Although I need the weather information, I'm uninstalling because I can't deal with the overwhelming ads!!! 😡😤
Deleted immediately after opening. Popup ads are full screen and persistent, widget size doesn't scale to the phone, not at all what I was looking for.
Every time you do an action, you get a pop up ad. And the details on their lovely widget, which showed all the info I wanted, was too small to read at a glance. I kept having to squint to see what the forecast was. 🙄
I like the app quite a bit despite the ads, but sadly it uses a good amount of battery life that between it and my job app (which is mandatory for my work) my phone is getting drained before I'm even halfway thru my day. So I had to uninstall it. :(
too many random ads, and it downloaded multiple games without my permission!! It ended up downloading around 5 or 6 on my phone within a 12 hour period! 😤 I had to uninstall it immediately!
To many ads! Some of them just pop up loud. And it is embarrassing when you just want to check the weather in a quiet environment. Uninstalling!
Really good app, but unfortunately I can't rate it with 5 star. Everytime that my phone do a restart the widget get small so 2 times a week I have to delete it and put it again in my home screen.
So far, I like the layout of how it is displayed. It seems, I have too "open" this App. every time I pull it up ! That might be a problem on my end, not sure.
I can't even open the app or set it up without being blasted with ads. It may be a decent app but I'll never know because of the ads. uninstalled.
WAY TOO MANY ADS! This app spams popups about stupid tabloid articles that show up ON TOP of whatever other app you're using to try to get you to pay to stop. I will not be extorted by a weather app. I am now using Accuweather which is far better in every way.
Ads, Pop ups, and notifications galore! Do not down load, this is a waste of your time and effort. Ads everywhere. Why would I pay for an app if you are so inconsiderate of free users?
Ridiculous ads!!!! Lastest 1min on my phone. Opened, ad, updated weather setting, ad, set widget, ad, widget didn't update, opened app, ad, tried to update weather, ad. Deleted!!!!!
full screen ads every time you open the app. Really? nice layout in between all the ad blocks. hope they ease up.
this used to be a good app that came with my Accuweather platnum that i paid $9.99 for. Now it is a smal widget, half the size that FLOODS MY PHONE WITH ADVERTISING. I can't even open my phone without trying to get out of advertising first. rating from me is actually a zero.
I don't mind ads in the app. No one should have to purchase anything to stop ads from one app intruding over all other apps and phone functions. that's simply bad and invasive coding. You can't hold my entire phone hostage when i should be able to disable notifications, and you pretend to have that option in the app. You aren't striving for balance. it's a total phone takeover. uninstalled due to lost trust and lack of vision. easily replaced app.
