Pretty cool. The latency isn't too bad, but it does squash my preview, and my camera is always out of focus. But it is easy enough and works quickly. I think it will be added as a third camera for twitch... Ya know, when I want to show my dog.
There are too many people talking about 15fps, no, get lost. anything under 24fps is simply not good enough and options below 24fps shouldn't be an option. There is no 60fps option, and when i set it to 24 or 30, which would be fine... it changes back to 15 straight away. That makes this app unusable for me. At the very least, 24fps or 30fps should be default.... who uses 15fps? that produces entirely unusable footage lol get rid of this low frame rate rubbish.
Installed and removed almost immediately. Far too many permissions. Why on earth do you need access to my contacts. Did quickly try the IP cam and its a shame as it seems to work. Concentrate on that, offer a paid version if you have to, and you might get some traction.
App was simple, fast, and effective . Mine froze up after a minute running in background mode, would have to restart stream to get it back. thus unable for me if used in background mode.
The app is good. It performs the way it is intended to. Best part is the run in background. Now i can turn my phone off but it will still run the web camera. Only reason i disnt give it a full 5 star, i need a way to access it from the internet, not just my local ip
I don't really get why the ratings are bad. But personally it's almost perfect for me. I needed a webcam because all I had was a 2010 garbage webcam which couldn't even record at 30fps. Just use the OBS Virtual Cam plugin and search for a tutorial on youtube to use it for video calls. It freezes sometimes but that's just because of my slow internet.
The app itself works pretty well, but it can't autofocus the camera, which is a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately. Hopefully this functionality will be added in future!
Actually freezes if you have to turn the camera off for a second. No way to unfreeze the frame except with restarting the program that is being fed the footage.
This is fantastic . install and run it and boom! You can see the picture from a pc or laptop or whatever in some address . Remember to keep both devises on the Same network .. And the quality is great . I mean ... what else do i want !
Geeze I really wish this worked .... I was planning on streaming me playing some music to entertain my family and friends as we're all Socially Isolated thanks to CV-19.... It drops signal to the streaming program waaaaay too easily and there's no way to get it back without removing the source and starting again.... and that's just a colossal P in the A. Pity.....
Needs autofocus or manual focus support. If we are able to adjust the focus within OBS using the 'interact' function, it would be great.
Works ok, but there's no real "off" setting, which makes me uncomfortable, and it overheats my phone after only a few minutes of use.
Trash app. Unable to do anything with settings in the free version. Get IP Camera instead. MUCH better software from that one.
Great regarding latency, unfortunately could not find options to set orientation and focus (which made it not usable in my case).
Great app, simple and it works really well. Please add touch to focus.
Not quite what I was expecting, not easy to set up. The url does not stay on screen long enough to use. Gave up and uninstalled
Neither the app nor the controls worked on Galaxy s9+. The UI is broken. App looks abandoned.
Not saving snaps? Or did I just miss it? Server only ever once showed a still. Else unable to connect. Bye bye.
Did not even open on Google Pixel. After 10 times it opened, but the streaming froze after 5 min . Uninstall
Can't focus the camera. Devs should have spent less time cramming in other apps and more time working on the core camera functions
Easy to install, but can only view at the ip address, not use it as the computer's camera, unfortunately.
Well, the app isn't working good, camera image stops randomly, resolution cannot go up to 4k... :(
On Note8. Stretches camera, doesn't focus, laggy, overall bad experience.
Very heavy on the phone, crashed the feed very quickly every time.
Doesn't work. Web address can't be reached by browser. Uninstalled.
Hey, my phone ( Nokia 5.3 ) heats up crazy. Fix power management issue. Other than this this app works wonders.
I don't write reviews much but this is worth writing. It does turn my cheap redmi phone into a a nice webcam. I settled on resolution 864x480 and quality 80 after a number of trials. It gives a beautiful and focused picture with utterly zero lag. The only drawbacks are the position of the interface is a bit off and buttons are not very intuitive. Yet it certainly deserves a better score.
