For those experiencing problems the reason is that a new app has been released by the developers that will be receiving all the updates. Search footyfocus and the first app called "Live Football Scores (EPL)" The new app contains all the epl teams but you select your team and you get their news as defaults. The updated app is smoother and its also good to be able to read other teams news as well. In short update to the new app manually as it won't come through as an auto update.
