The app is fixed! Issues after updating appear to be corrected. I appreciate the fast turnaround with support. I don't have time to use the app right now. But I was able to launch it without the "update" error.
It worked but it was a little bit anticlimactic. I understand though that while the animation was short it probably took a ton of effort on the production end.
It's awesome again! All fixed and works great! This is just the coolest thing ever. It actually looks like little people walking around on your counter or table.And their stories are so interesting.
I'm no longer getting the message about Updating the App, but it still doesn't work - I'm trying to run it on an Android Tablet - I'm filling the screen with the label but I can't get it to scan the label - what am I doing wrong?
The app does not work for me, I have seen it run on other phones in the past and after purchasing a bottle of red I downloaded the app. When launching it a message appears "Update your app to continue" there is no update on Playstore. Shame. The wine was great though.
Was working, but now completely broken. As others have reported, the app refuses to start as constantly asks for an update. Obviously have tried updating, but also deleting and reloading but still the request to update appears, so currently totally unusable.
Edited to add: it works now!! Thank you! 5 stars! App no longer works for me. Getting the same notification to upgrade the app, that everyone else is getting. Will not update. This was fun for parties, too. 🙁
Stuck in a loop, download the latest version then open the app then it keeps saying to update. Annoying. Tried another phone, tried an iPhone also. All don't work.
Well, I have to say the app used to be Sooo much fun! Now the app keeps indicating I need to update, although will still not work. I've tried several times to update, uninstall, install again and...same thing happens. Bummer.
Sine I downloaded the update that apparently fixed the bugs, the update itself is one big bug. Keeps bringing me back to the Google play store. Does not work at all now.
Latest update says to download but does nothing. Click Open and then download again into a constant annoying loop that never truly updates it to use it. Fix this APP, it used to be awesome till now.
I don't know what happened. I used to use this app all the time. Now it says I need to update it but there is no update. I can't even scan bottles because my only option is to update the app which is already updated. Don't fix what's not broken. Bring back the og app. Y'all tried to make it fancy but it just broke it.
Wasn't working. Contacted the developer via eMail. Problem fixed tout de suite. How cool is that?
App works great and they have some new stories. Thank you for fixing it.
It's great, when it decides to actually work. More often than not, it scans the bottle label but then nothing happens. Possibly because it relies too heavily on a data connection. I work in a store that sells wine and like to show the app to customers, but we get very poor cell service there. Downloading files for offline use should be an option.
Honestly, better than I was expecting. Yes, it's a gimmick. Yes, it's fairly sizeable (have you sent a video over WhatsApp or one of the other many communications software recently? It's going to be!). Yes it's a bit cheesy. But you know what? Kudos to these brands for bringing a little light entertainment and education to the drinking masses. Worked first time, no errors.
Nice idea, kind of works. It took me 3 tries to enter my birth year (why is that even necessary?) because the phone keyboard flashed for a millisecond then didn't show up again. Had to close and restart the app. And as others have said, 2 mins is a long time to wait holding a wine bottle, waiting for a download. Sadly, my guy didn't even have a name, just generic convict story. Voice acting was good though, even if the audio quality was oddly inconsistent. Overall a fun idea, but not so smooth.
Worked great, then stopped. With the last app update, it sticks on the launch screen. After about 10 minutes of waiting, it eventually gives an error message that it can't download a file. Update: Developer responded to comments on app issue by investigating and patching within days. The app works perfectly post update. Much appreciation goes out to developers that actively respond to feedback.
Insider points not added after downloading the app, also getting less points than mentioned for different tasks, then seeing empty poll to take and finally not able to enter contest - unknown error. What's the point of all this? I'll switch back to Barefoot and Yellow Tail. 😑😑😑
