Great app works pretty well. One thing I'm missing is the quickview feature which I had with previous Nationwide account. The upcoming direct debit feature is only partially useful, as it only reflects previous payment amounts. The Everyday Offers could do with a modification to highlight new offers as Santander do. I have 41 offers now (4/3/22) of which only one is of vaguely of interest. I would appreciate the option to dismiss offers that I would never use but have to scroll through anyway.
The app works well for me. I can see what I need to at a glance, it has extensive functionality and only crashes occasionally. My main issue with it is that Direct Debit and Standing Order reference names don't show up on statements and aren't searchable in the app. This seems like a huge oversight. It would be an extremely useful feature to have for finding certain transactions quickly, like bill payments.
When it works, it's a great banking app. Recently it logged me out and ever since, when I try to log back in, it crashes my entire phone. Same thing with MBNA app, part of Lloyds banking group. Shame. Great apps, I just can't use them anymore. Update: Turning off gestures in android fixed the problem. I was able to log back in but then I turned gestures back on and the app reverted to asking me to set it up again, then paralysing my phone. So I hope this is just a "meantime" solution.
Pretty good. One annoying thing is that you cannot rename recipients you have set up. You have to use their correct name to set up the payment, which is fine... But if you are transferring to other accounts in your name there no way distinguish them apart from the account numbers. The ability to add an alias would make all the difference. I can rename the current account, I should be able to rename recipients also.
I don't find it user friendly. I can't download load any PDF statements or messages despite going on settings and changing permissions. This means it's impossible for me to see when the credit card agreement ends so the only way is to get paper statements. It's worth having to check the balance but it's got features on it that can't be used.
Very easy to use. Easy to log in. Easy to transfer funds (no need to wait for a code in a separate message, its all done via fingerprint). You can instantly send a copy of the receipt/transfer confirmation to anyone, together with a nice preprepared message. It saves so much time. I found it far far better to use than what I had with both HSBC and Santander. Would definitely recommend.
Good app. One improvement would be to have the ability to have an 'alias' name for payees. It is very easy to have the same name for different payees (credit card, another bank account, savings account all for the same person) so being able to easily differentiate without having to compare sort and account codes would be a welcome update and eliminate mistakes.
Terrible update. Can't open it now, it just crashes and restarts. I've tried reinstalling and same problem. Totally unusable. Edit: Two weeks later, still can't use it. If I could give negative stars I would. Edit 10/11/21: Still doesn't work. Everything was fine until the recent 'update'. If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it. Edit: update 4th April. Still not able to open the app. Crashes before I can enter any details. Sort it out Lloyds. You can bloody afford an app that works
The app does not work whatsoever, it keeps on saying that the app launch has failed and restarts the app but it never works. This has happened for tha last like 2 to 3 weeks and its extremely frustrating. They say there is a problem with Samsung Android 12 and the app but they have failed to fix it, its extremely annoying (I have tried reinstalling etc... stil does not work)
After using the app several times and it crashing my phone before I log in I have found a fix. If you go to your phone settings and change from gestures to buttons under navigation you will be able to log in. Once you have set up the app and say ok to fingerprint for future log ins you can switch back to gestures and it works fine. Still needs this bug fix sorted but there is a work around
This app is a total nightmare it very rarely works first time when I tried to open it kept bouncing out the startup page and would need me to restart my phone completely on more then one occasion to get the thing to work and then yesterday decided to log me out the while app saying that I entered in the wrong memorable information (something that I use multiple times everyday so how the hell can I get it wrong) and had to change the while information and now it still won't bloody work. AVOID!!!
Gave it 4* last time but now upgraded that to 5* because it is not only more intuitive and straightforward but the account transaction facility whereby you can see historical payments made to any particular payee is an absolute godsend. Additionally the added security measures make a lot more sense and the whole thing is very quick to use. Lloyds have always been first rate on personal money management and with the latest version of this app it is an absolute piece of cake.
Can't download a statement for a savings account, you have to wait for the annual statement. Then you have to wait a month for the monthly statement to show up in your inbox, you don't the day. To open a message you choose "view message" (not "download pdf") the app actually downlodads a pdf called preview.pdf and does not show you the message. You have to exit the app to open the downloaded file. Horrible horrendous and useless app, I want to change the bank just because of this irritating app.
It no longer works on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3. It crashed my phone many times. I cleared all data, try to login and crashed. I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried again and it crashed the phone. It might be something to do with Samsung fingerprint or security updates incompatibility.
This app is fantastic but for some reason now it refuses to open. Every time I try and open it it just won't start. Very frustrating after years of using it with no issues. Have tried reinstalling but still having the same problem. Please fix this.
Love using this app. Notifications every time I spend, a notification of a DD is noticeably higher than usual, or any other issue, and even when they text or email, they tell you to check your account, and NEVER get you to click a link. Feel safe having this due to security measures. Can instantly freeze a card and order a new card if needed. Can make payments, and question payments If you have a Lloyds accou t get the app.
The app has been really useful for me, I only have a phone, no Internet at home, but with my data and this app I have been able to navigate my way through the lock down, paying bills, arranging standing orders all from my phone it's great!!, I'm not a very technical person, but It has been so helpful!
Unable to login on Samsung S21 on the latest software. App completely freezes my phone and I am forced to brute restart it via the physical buttons. Edit: The fix suggested by the Developer has allowed me to log back in. I will keep this at 1 star for visibility - I will change the rating once there's an update.
Not a brilliant app. OK for checking out what is currently in your account, but the notifications think I am stupid. I know I made some adjustment then it comes up as if I didn't know. Not one person got back to me, I was having a problem trying to open a new account from last November. I sent an email and made comments here at the time. Was so frustrated with it. Had to get laptop out to perform what I needed. I waited 2 months for help thinking I would be contacted.
App doesn't work since last update, cant view my funds, transfer or do anything as when I try to open app it just doesn't open then phone says app not working, tried reinstalling and still can't access my accounts, please fix asap as I need access to my account! Edit: app is STILL not working!!! Is this going to be fixed soon?????????? Apauling that this is happening, a company this size should fix issues like this much quicker, update was 4th of may and it's now the 13th and still no fix...
Straightforward and easy to use app that does what it needs to. Direct Debits and Standing Orders could do with some work to improve their ease of use, especially around searches.
Pretty good banking app, works very well. Reliable and secure. Does what it is supposed to, can't ask for more really. Since giving the 5 🌟 rating, I have hade a few app launch failures and crashes. One star off for occasional instability. App instabilities continue, a great pity that a Bank with the experience and technical competence like Lloyds cannot make their App bullet proof.
New customer. SAMSUNG GALAXY ZFLIP3. app crashes every time upon opening. I cannot access my account through the app. I tried to call the help line but it wasn't much help. All they did was recommend I reinstalled the app, which I had done numerous times already. Not a good experience for a new customer and I can see reviews reporting the same thing from back in April with Lloyd's replying please keep your app update..... its now 26th May and this problem still exists.
Stopped working few months ago. Reinstall doesn't work. The problem are sudden restart of the app during registration process so I am unable to complete registration and use the app. Even after 6 months and after few updates this app on my Oukitel WP6 does not work.
UPDATE: Followed instructions to update app and disable gesture navigation/autopilot but the app still completely freezes my phone when it is required to make the verification call. Completely unusable app. Website too. Just don't bank here. This app is absolutely unusable. It bricks my phone any time I try to use it - can't force close or anything. End up needing to hard reset the device every single time. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 so I can't imagine why a banking apps specs would do this.
This app is useless, but it is the only way to change personal details or contact the bank. It takes anywhere between 10 and 20+ attempts to log in EVERY TIME. Then to get to the Messaging Service it takes another 10+ attempts. Each failed attempt is accompanied by a message helpfully informing you that the "App failed" and suggests trying again later. The same thing happens with the messaging bit. If I can't get in within 10 minutes or so, I go and lie down, then try again. Useless.
