This app monitors the current Eskom load shedding status and notifies you if the power is scheduled to go off in your area.

I think what would be really helpful is for notifications to pop up once things change from not currently load shedding to currently load shedding. As opposed to it only showing if I manually open the app. Otherwise, it's great in terms of identifying load shedding times. Easy to understand and simple to use.
It's really sad that we South Africans have to resort to an app such as this one. If 'they' kept the maintenance of the power stations up to date and upgrading when needed then we all wouldn't have to check when our lights would be off! Anyway, Thanks for the app.
Glad to see the improved response time, if it wasn't for this app my life would be in shambles and completely at the mercy of the power interruptions. Simple, straightforward and not at all intrusive, a much welcomed solution to our 'loadshedding woes', BRAVO!!
I'm sorry what I said. I just suffer from bad depression and I am very unhappy with how they ... Our power was off for nearly 24 hours and i'm very suicidle. I almost ... But I find this app extreemly usefull, and accurate and really the advertizing is really not bothering me, but I have formed a filter anyway and look at the screen completely blocking out ads. But I will use it for a bit longer and rather support you guys who have done all this neat work and get a ad free version.
I don't receive notifications from the app anymore -I cleared cache and uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. It used to send notifications so promptly - before the other app people use but now I have had to use that app. I tried contacting via the app and that didn't work either. Wish this worked as it used to. Thanks
Though loadshedding is a pain this app makes it possible to see what is ahead for the day. The 'lags' in notices sometimes are not usually an issue. Have included a lot of subhurbs and even other towns and it is easy to manage
The app does not send notifications. I have uninstalled, re-installed, checked the settings in the app and checked the settings in the phone. It does not send notifications. Any idea what I can do to rectify? Note I am on Android 12.
So far always updated. New schedules as soon as they get published. Warnings when the power will go off. Great features and accuracy. What more do you want.
I prefer this app over other ones on the market as I find them either useless or offensive. Also the notifications are accurate and timely. Sadly this app makes my device very slow and I can barely scroll when the app is open making the app barely usable.
Works very well. Notifications are on-time. Ads are not intrusive. Thanks to the developers. They could charge a premium for this app, but they dont. Even though developement cost money, they keep this app up to date even in the free version. 5 star rating easily. Try it and see.
Good 👍. But, loadshedding periods are 02:30 for Eskom clients. Abisoft says 02:00. Not helpful. The notify developers of schedule changes does not appear to work. Contact with developer was made by email and response was prompt. I had 'change over periods' turned off. Back to 5 star rating!
Notifications not happening anymore, might be an android 12 issue? It is in the never sleep list and notifications enabled through the app. I have cleared app data and cache though the android settings and through the app. I uninstalled and re-installed but still the same problem.
Some app! Checked several times about the 4-6 am slot for 22/4. The app said that COCT was on level 1 only, so we don't wake up 15 mins earlier to get the car out of the garage, and guess what? Lights out! Useless!
Thank you for such an app, it's actually easy to use and access. I also like that you don't display ads as "pop-up data guzzlers" instead just little blimps which I'll be fine with. I also like that the app can either be online or offline, thank you for such a useful app
A good congratulations to all developers of this app, information from this app is accurate,user interface is not clustered,user experience is awesome,it does not require lot of short memory from users,it uses the principle of knowledge in the world which is awesome, thank you so much for doing such a brilliant work...keep up the good work...
As another user mentioned, the app no longer sends notifications. I have uninstalled, cleared the cache, reinstalled, triple checked the settings, and it still doesn't work. 😕 Please can you fix this?
Fantastic app, Have been using this only as the other Push app is inaccurate. The only issue i currently have are receiving notification of load shedding alerts. Since i upgraded to Android 12 - nothing. Using a Oneplus 8 Pro
Great schedule display. It's much easier to plan your day based on this layout. But no notifications (at all) means you'll need another app to "push" notifications
I live in Nigel and the schedules you give does not correspond with my area. I have to plan my day and can't do that at all!! Not happy with this app. Electricity went off at 10 last night. App said 4 to 6h30 this morning yet I have electeicity now. Please tell me where or what to do. Its very frustrating!!
When it's correct it's good. Messes up quite abit with the coct sames and stages. When you start to rely on it and it drops you. Maybe if it just updated to changes more regularly
Ons thing that bothers me is that it seems if you have not used the app in a while (when there is no Load shedding) the notification for load shedding being implemented only comes through once you open the app. So if you don't see it on the news, you may be caught off guard.
With all the random load shedding hours we get, I love that this app always always lets me know in advance so that I don't have to rely on my memory to make sure my things are charged up in time. The best part is that I dont have to know what block my area falls under, the app does it for me👌🏻
Sometimes a bit hard to read. Too many notifications and alerts which can get very irritating at times. Besides that - it's reliable and does what it says on the packet.
Hi! I love this app but lately I have not been receiving any notifications. I've checked all settings, in app, and on my phone and everything is set correctly. Please assist.
Still my favourite loadshedding app! I thought notifications had stopped working but the developers kindly pointed out that my phone was putting the app to sleep to save battery. Everything is working 100% now. Thank you!
I've always loved this app, but recently I get notifications too late, as compared to other people who are also using loadshedding apps. It's like I have to login and refresh, then a notification pops up immediately. Whereas before this the notification would pop up soon after loadshedding has been announced
The last few months it just doesn't send the notifications, I've looked at everything in the app and notification settings to try and troubleshoot it but everything is set correctly including excluding it from battery optimisation. The devs need to look into it because I'm not the only one. I've had to move over to the Eskomsepush app till this is fixed.
