How LOCA works?
- Download and open the application to request a ride
- Thanks to your location, the driver can locate and get to you in no time
- You can see the picture of the driver, his vehicle detail and his rating
- You can track your driver on the map and chat with him (Yup no need to call)
- Payment by credit card (all major credit cards are accepted) or use your LOCA account credit.
- At your destination, you can rate the driver, give feedback so LOCA can provide a better service.
- Get your receipt as soon as you arrive at destination
Take LOCA Eco for a private ride with lower fare. The vehicle will be a compact model.
Take LOCA Deluxe for a private ride with your friends or family member with higher fare and more space. The vehicle will be a Sedan model.
Take LOCA Van for a city tour which is much cheaper than agency tours. You can choose your own destination, you can plan your journey as you wish for a whole day.

It's working well in Vientiane. I've used it a few times to have a taxi to help me carry a big fan as I cannot do it in motorbike. To be able to see the taxi coming in real time on a map is very fun and convenient. It took them around 5min everytime to be here. The drivers are very friendly, the price is cheaper than a normal taxi or tuk tuk. Highly recommended
The main problem with the app is the difference in the amount you pay at your dropoff point doesnt matches with the estimated price. Its always more that you pay by 2-3 $. "Review price" option is not there which is the worst part. Application lags are very common. Need to improve a lot for giving tough competition if Uber/Grab arrives in Laos. Cheers. The worst app I have ever seen. I wish Uber/Grab enters this city, Loca will be nowhere then.
The UX designed in a very unfriendly way. The price that you see before your ride is always different with the result price (result one is always bigger). Also, the price is crazy for the SN Asia - we paid approx. 4 US dollars for the 2 km ride by the straight highway in Vientiane. So, there is a lot of to work on.
Does the job, though the app remains buggy and drivers are not always professional or reliable. Customer service is also slow to respond. Lots of room for improvement, buy with hard work they'll get there.
I've had always good experience when using this app in Vientiane. All drivers can speak English and most of them are very polite. It's very useful since transportation in Laos is not very easy (tuktuk don't speak English, no public transportation such as busses, etc)
Pretty useful app living in Vientiane Laos. If it is too bike for my motorcycle I book a loca car :)
What a POS buggy app. Never put your credit card on file. It just randomly charges double sometimes and random mysterious charges appear out of nowhere. You have to jump through hoops to get the charges reversed with customer support
Provides a great service at better price than local tuk tuks. Drivers an cars always clean an polite. Loses 1 star as sometimes cars take 2 mins and sometimes 15 mins to arrive am you cant predict which it will be. But overall really happy with Loca.
Very expensive, they don't come on time. They charge wrong fee and they always stop much further than real destination.get ur own transportation, it is much easier
The app is ok but fares are terribly expensive, drivers are extremely slow because fare is based on time rather than distance. Cars are ok, drivers overall ok.
app refused to install on my phone. after i put in the authentication code nothing happens. it's brand new, and other apps install just fine. there's something wrong with this particular app
I find the fares high compared to other ride hailing services elsewhere. With these prices, this app won't become very popular anytime soon. Then again, taxi services of any kind are a ripoff in Laos.
On time everytime with very reasonable pricing. Having the information for your destination handy is recommended if not a major landmark. Love it.
Sms verification codes does not arrive +44 or +49, hence useless. Edit: With +62 code arrives, but says it's expired. Edit 2: Well, I need the transport now. Also a lot of Germans and UK are in Laos. You should include that numbers.
These drivers are doing a great job and providing a needed service as tuk tuks have made things too hard & pricey to get around with any certainty. Thank you loca _ x 6 times so far 👍👍👍👍👍
Best taxi or ride app in Vientiane, Lao. I used it for almost 18 months now. Cars and drivers always great. Easy loading wallet or pay cash.
Hailing Taxi Apps but very expensive usually, they charging time and distance. It doesn't fair for passenger.
installed this app but can't sign up because I have to add verification code which suppose to be sent to my number but I don't receive any code. so useless!
I haven't received any verification code and i have tried to contact to support agent via live chat on the website but there is no reponse at all.
Easy to get around at an affordable price. Cheaper than Tuk Tuk. Apps can be improved

Stupid App and bad structure. As it required the user to out referral code but when I put it just keep saying invalid no matter what It put it just didn't approve. Waste of my time!
Though it is a very helpful app when travelling in Laos, it does need a lot of improvement. The fact that my credit card is charged immediately a driver accepts my request and then refunds and re-charge again upon arrival at destination is so confusing. Also, I was charged a 'convenience fee' every time I used the service...no idea what it is. I sent an email / message to inquire about this fee but there has been no response so far. Will I use it again?...Well yes..since Grab does not work.
