Local Flavor - Deals & Coupons

Increasingly more frustrating to use. I've set reminders for 8:00 for the new deals coming out, purchased said deals through the app. Only to have the pending charges dropped and no deals in my account if these are selling out in less than 10 minutes, there's really no point in posting these deals, people will not be using this if they know it sells out in such a short time. Also what's the point of advertising in the flyer if they can't even last a half an hour.

It used to be good with a lot of usuable deals, years ago. There is pretty much no deal in my area. I am stuck with a site credit because of a business did not accept my valid certificate. They said LocalFlavor used their business without consent/contract. Be ware!!! No refund.

I got the $15 for $30 deal w/ $3+ off, also, for a total of $11.25, & a barcode. When she manually scanned(bc she said they didn't have a scanner) the b.code, she said I owed $5.14. Did I do that right, or was I charged incorrectly?

Overall I'm very happy with the app. Sometimes it's slow to non-responsive when I try to view my certificates, changing from expiration date to alphabetical, for example. I also have had trouble contacting Customer Support through the app. I'll admit that I could be doing something wrong, but that would show that the app wasn't designed to be "Idiot Proof".

I've used the coupons in Local Flavor multiple times. I also share the app by telling other patrons of the restaurant about it and they download it for the coupons also. I like that the coupons can be sent to a phone via text messaging too. It does have a downfall though, it's not too easy to search for a place whenever you put in an area. The restaurant I've used this app for doesn't even show up as an option. You have to actually type the name of the place.

We love this app. We have found and tried a lot of different restaurants and services on here that we probably wouldn't have if we didn't have these enticing offers. Now we are repeat customers.

Great way to save extra bucks while dining out. Easy to use app and never had a problem using at restaurants.

In most cases it's been a great value and easy experience. Just don't forget to use them They expire and then somehow disappear from your Wallet. I was under the understanding That should they expire they are still always worth what you paid for them. So I imagine with some effort I could redeem the minimal amount I invested. Is other than that happy and satisfied with the app.

No problems with the app. It's easy to use & doesn't take much time. My disappointment is with fine print & exclusions businesses have. I made the mistake of purchasing restaurant coupons during COVID. Restaurants excluded carryout when dining in was illegal. Finally used one for dine in at a restaurant/bar which didn't seem to be following COVID protocols.

The app is super easy ans straight forward. There's been no issues with the service providers, like there is on the other "big green site". My only concern is that it is not easy to exchange or cancel or even switch offers from the app. If I could exchange an offer within the app...5 stars!

The offers are great but the app doesn't save all the coupons that I ask for to my "wallet". Also, I've actually purchased some deals that did not show up in the wallet. It was a good thing that I remembered that I bought them and got confirming emails from which I could print the deals that I purchased or I would have lost my money!

Great app for access to savings on meals. Good selection of restaurants.

This app works great ... I use it often at local restaurants . Never had any issues. I did however run into a problem in which a restaurant switched owners and wouldn't accept the certificate . I was able to email local flavor and they refunded me .

I enjoy the savings. When I get to purchase the coupons at half off and use them later it's like getting my offer for free are at a great discount. Just wish my favorite restaurants would stop disappearing from the app.

This app is quite useful for finding deals at area establishments. I would prefer it be a bit more concise when searching for locales but I am able to maneuver to what I'm searching for relatively easily.

Good so far! No major hiccups. Using voucher is a easy process and I have had no issues using them. Allows you to discover new local businesses, which you may have seen in passing but never got around to stopping to look or dine.

The coupons are good. The discounts are better when there are extra discounts. I do wish there were more offerings to places I eat at or go to. Must login to the app to check when coupons expire.

This is awesome. We use the coupons to try out restaurants we haven't been to before.

Always provides the most up-to-date information and is easy to use.

Only used it once so far. Easy to use. The other time I tried they were sold out already. Now I check more often

Coupons are great. The new app is not very user friendly. I love the email coupon to phone feature. Customer service is terrible if you ever need to contact them.

Good offers pop up from time to time. The best deals are when they offer an additional 20% off with coupons that you can find on their Facebook page or through emails. Make sure you check offers and notifications.

Unfortunately you do not know the reputation of the merchants that are being advertised on the app and if they refuse to honor a coupon it is your loss. After reaching out that a merchant was not honoring coupons I received a not so nice email from customer service. LocalFlavor makes their money whether you get ripped off or not. Just do a google search on your own and actually call a business for services that you need.

The app is much better than the old version. However, can't contact the customer service by phone nor email. Have called and left several messages, but never got a call back. Have emailed several times, but never got a single response. Can't get refunds from the "closed" or "refused to honor local flavor's coupon" businesses. Not sure how to get my money back. Please help!

Great. It allows me to take my grandkids out more often. Affordable.

At Ichiban we used our coupons and it was accepted without hesitation. Love the convience of just using coupon without having to pay first like groupon. The app is very easy to use and love the different restaurants participating in the site. Excellent time and food was excellent along with fun chef.

Went to restaurant for which we bought gift certificate and did not like what we saw, did not want to eat there. Asked LocalFlavor to just trade the credit for a gift certificate to a different restaurant. LocalFlavor refused to help us, so I am out $25 and have a gift certificate to a restaurant at which I do not want to eat. Never using this app again!

I bought coupons for Olympia. I have sent request for assistance to download them, and have not received a response.
