Setting up conditions and actions was easy. Once I figured out the needed priority of the conditions, Locale really began to do what i wanted it to do without any problems. I'll give this app 5 stars once the users have the ability to select a particular action 2+ more times than just once. e.g. if I select a task to, say, open an app, then Locale will open that one app. However, if I wanted to open more than that one app, I couldn't do it because Locale, as it is, doesn't have that capability.
Bought Locale to make sure I could receive certain notifications even when the phone was silent. Didn't seem to work, then on the support site they said that was a known issue for newer Androids, despite the fact that it's one of their primary advertised features. Not very honest.
Useful app, been using for a few versions. Can cause issues when settings in locale conflict with other apps. Usedsparingly and for basics like battery saving and wifi/bluetooth on/off sutuations is very helpful.
Makes my screen glitch white after updating. Unusable now. Edit: 3-2-2020 The screen flashing only happens when i open this program. If I don't use it, it doesn't happen. Uninstalled it for good. Moving on to something else.
Would give it 1 star but credit where its due, the app used to work fine. Now it REMOVES all ringing, instead of turning up the ringer for important callers. No vibrate, no ringer, nothing. Had to uninstall. Android 8.1 for reference to Dev team. Please fix this if you still work on this app.
Accurate and very helpful. Easy to use interface. Does exactly what I need it to do and more. Turns up my volume in places I know I'll be likely not to have my phone on me.
Bad developer tactics lead to lack of trust. Umm.. you pay a lot of money for an App that is then not updated for several years, then developer tries to make money by switching to a new app altogether. Yes developer CAN do that I guess but I for one would not trust them again -- it's a BAD move, and alienating customers always is a bad move. Just bought this app recently for the VIP calling feature, since I have an elderly mom who may need to call me overnight in an emergency when my phone is on silent. Now this feature doesn't work. How do I get on the Locale beta list for a new version? Very disappointed that this doesn't work now...
Works most of the time. Settings are easy to use and plug-ins easy to add and turn on and off... Just wish they had a newer wifi Hotspot plug in.
I've been using this app for years and had worked great for never having to remember to turn your phone on silent when your at work or volume up at home. We'll worth the price
Does a good job of knowing where I am and adjusting my settings without draining my battery. While the price is steep, it performs well.
When I create a situation, the contact condition is missing now. I cant get the volume to come up w vip calling like I was once able to. Contact is not an option under conditions
Love the in a meeting mode - links to my calendar and automatically goes to silent mode. Most useful thing about it for me.
This app used to be better. Now I still hear some notifications even when my conditions are met to not hear them.

It simply did not work on my Galaxy S7...didn't do anything....totally non-functional.

I've had this app for YEARS and it's an excellent app. Works perfectly for me most of the time depending on my network. They've done a great job of making the UI easy to follow. Easily the best of the automate apps. My phone automatically silences at movies, work and church. Then goes back to my default settings when home. Also alerts me when my battery is charged to 95% (wish it would go to 100%). Great app.
After the last phone update a week or so ago, Locale stopped working for me. It is no longer turning on wi-fi for me when I get home and when I tried to open the app to check my settings, it takes control of my phone with a "flashing" white screen. I tried the memory fix that was suggested to someone else, but, that did not remedy the problem. I'm not going to give a bad rating, because, I'm hoping this is a glitch that can be resolved by the app creator. Thanks! Edit: I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail.
