Localphone International Calls

I've used Localphone for many years and it was quite good until a year or so ago I. recent years the service has become very poor yet the cost has rocketed. The system is very quick to dock your money, often even when the call hasn't connected. Trying to get redress from Customer Service is fraught with problems, and the operatives' accents are sometimes impossible to understand, so you end up giving up. You are better off trying another prepay phone app or card if you do not want to waste your money and time - this service in not worth a bother.

Used it for years but the quality has gone down some of the issues are (1) it will use your data or wifi to dial from the app and the quality is horrible. (2) you can't get a local number for a contact for faster dialing. (3) it will not allow to add credit from the app.

I tried using the test call (5minutes) but everytime I tried I wasn't able to connect, the phone at the other end didn't ring at all. I tried again a few days later and the 5 minutes credit where gone. I don't think this is a reliable app to call overseas. I'm going back to S-kype.

I had unused credits about 15$, but after a period I saw that my balance was 0, I send them a message about my issue, but they told that after a year they take my unused credits. What a Steeler they are, I will never use this app again, if you want a bad service and want lose your credit then come and use their bad service. Deserve five zeros.

Installed and used straight away the dial keypad, then been direct to use my own mobile network without any warning and caused a very expensive bill for me. Sent complaint letter to customer service, just saying it is my fault to disable some stupid setting, while I didn't touch any setting. Refusing refund credits and compensate. Never use again and recommend don't even download it.

I have used localhone for years and hate to say it, but localhone have decided to make a perfectly working app worthless. Previous app had the option to select either WiFi, cellular or GSM on phone to make a call. This app decides to use data all the time.

Just tried them again after being happy with them 2 years or more ago, however, tried calling several times to Malta. Dialled the number, rang a few times and answered.... no voice was heard! After email, they said they couldn't hear me either. Can't see how to get hold of customer services from the APP Shame as I still have credit with them. Please get in touch?

Sadly the app I had installed just closed on me every time, so updated and it's just the same....it will not open, so I cannot use the service. I don't require it as I used to when I first signed up, but of course that doesn't mean I never will require it, so I hope there's a fix very soon and back to 5 stars.

I was using this service for almost 8 years with all it's good and bad but recently they made change to app that you can't logout also can't use wifi only data making it difficult to use almost goodbye from a loyal customer.

Android app doesn't work. Put the server settings manually into Android native SIP calling which worked so it's definitely the app. Call quality not particularly good. I suggest looking elsewhere.

I have been using this for almost 5 years. This new update has made it worse. Call connects no voice can be heard from others. Credit gets deducted. Can't add contacts through app.Messaging has been removed.

They will not contact you by phone even if you request them to do so. Try 2YK it is not subscription and it seems to work better if you are a regular user but also need to contact them by phone if there are available.

Well done!!! Localphone. This new Acrobits based app is just brilliant! A browser link leading to localphone account from the app and enabling incoming internet calls can make it even better. And please change the app screenshots in play store.

Multiple issues: 1: can't add new contacts 2: search in contacts doesn't work 3: app calls use data only not cellular option 4: adding credit doesn't work! Fix this folks !!!

Since the last update I can no longer contact my home country of New Zealand. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and reset the app but to no avail. it has simply stopped working

I have been using this service almost since launch. However, lately, I find myself talking to friends in South Africa via other means as I cannot get thru. Please sort this out so as to offer 5*. Thank you

don't waste your time. this app no longer able to call. I don't think they even update it anymore. such a disappointment. I just test it with 20 dollar credit and it's not working again 3/31/19

Common local phone. You've been the best thing ever for years.. I'm not happy with everything about this new local phone.. nothing is easy . From topping up to making calls .. just everything.. please fix up .. bring back good old days

Only works 20% of the time. Most times the line connects to a different country. When it does work its good and cheap.

I used Local phone for years. Recently I topped up my account by $10. Before I even got through to the number I dialled, my account says I have $6.21. Not impressed at all. Please explain this!!! 😲 😱

Good to provide an easy way to remember your local numbers, useless at anything else.

Error on hold. Not connecting any call

bad service they record the other side talk and repeated to u 3 times or more and this means way of stealing money thats what i see in this app afted spending money for nothing could not talk the right way with my family

It's a good app however doesn't send your number to the recipient which means they might ignore your call

Local phone is calling is very good but SMS options no SMS options available very nice app on global calling app in local phone

every time I turn my phone on. message pops . apps not working..

Can't actually use it. Asks to sign in and no option to sign up.

Can't login with my Localphone credent! It is asking for Cloud ID!!

Great for traveling overseas.... and at home!
