have been recently experiencing issues on the android app. it often crashes or is unstable. when opening an ad the ad seems to load then reload rapidly. Seems as if it puts itself in an infinite loop. same issues dont occur when using chrome browser or using desktop website. other wise do enjoy the service. Review is one star to gain attention. happy to revert to 5 stars once issues are cleared up.
This app fills a niche that is missing, but it's a pretty frustrating user experience. Suffers crashes frequently, buttons will become unpressable, and a user's ability to review other users is just magically gifted to you on the whims of whatever system decides you should review a person, rather just making the option public and available. Why solicit money to promo posts when your app can't reliably be used? They've added a block feature though, which is a vital thing to have.
Your app use to work fine although when posting ads now the system decides where the ad is posted and 9 times out of 10 it posts in the wrong section. I have brought this up with customer service but to date no change. Makes it difficult to get replies when ads are posted in the wrong section. Why does the app decide where I post my ads?
the app has not been able to load properly for me as of late. thought it was a server issue on your end. also, just today, whenever I look into an ad, the app keeps refreshing itself repeatedly and I cannot use it properly. I appreciate your help in fixing this matter. thank you
Thank you for your reply... I have already sent an email and was told that it was better suited in the category they have moved to ... The problem is you want more money to advertise there... So why am I paying for premium account when I can't even put my adds where I want them just because I cant gain financially from them in that section... That's the section I want then in not in services only seeking... Its not like iam hiding the cost from anyone enquiring... I would like a refund for my premium account membership since there is no point having that if my adds are always pending saying in an email they are active for viewing but that is not the case !!!
The problem is not the app per se. it is the actual site that is down far too often. The app code should have an 'if' statement in it to detect if the site is down and display an appropriate error message - not some cryptic message that only one guy understands. A non reachable site makes the app look like it is malfunctioning.
I love it for the personal part of it and I love how they rate people on here. gives you confidence that the people you're dealing with are on the up-and-up. also like the extra features that has for networking and getting a business out their. it offers so much more than Craigslist. it's more friendly to use. I especially love how they set it up so you can text or contact each through the app.Craigslist didn't have that kind of interaction you can also send pics.... great job
Inconsistent service quality. The apps work sometimes but most of the time is not working. Ads appear suddenly and went missing suddenly. Messsge was sebt but never sent. Reported and got fixed only for a day and again it happens.
In combination with their website and moderators this is a poor app for posting ads, especially if you need it posted right away. Created two ads on the app which said had posted. Thought something was off, went to the website autonomously and noticed the ads did not post for some 4 hours. I then logged into website and created near identical ads. The site said they posted. Logged out, checked, nothing. Kept checking every half hour. Deleted all posts and uninstalled the app. Never again!
Like the app. Think it would be so much better if you could select multiple categories instead of just one as some ads would do better if they were advertised in all applicable areas.
so slow. im so pissed have to keep retyping every single ad description because if i accidentally home button, or try split screen,its turns all white and never goes back to where it left off. ad is just like the online website... what's the point of the ap!??!
Clicking on notifications if you get a message doesn't take you to the message. It keeps refreshing on the homepage. Definitely a bug in the newer version. Tried reinstalling as well.
After installation this app on my OnePlus 6T, when I run this app it doesn't work at all and gives me an error "A Network Error Occurred. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown. There is an error with your network. Please try to change network setting".
My experience of this app has been absolutely wonderful. Straightforward, easy to use, fast. Seems as if developers are right on top of things, detecting scams, Shady opportunities or member safety issues. By no fault of Locanto rather a reflection of the state of our culture poor communication, follow through and lack of common courtesy by some users has been the only frustrating experience for me.
Bad experience on the paid premium account. A week after paying, nothing happened. Reply fr locanto: "Thank you for contacting Locanto. The problem is that Bank transfers in the international way are very little reliable & they have a very high percentage of failure. If you could use another payment method, the success will be much higher. But anyways, let's try to keep an eye on the last bank transfer you did today in order to see if it becomes successful in the end" despite paying a week ago🤦
well there's lots of engaging interesting posts on locanto. I had sevral ads out there bufore i finally got a response. By the time I did get one It wasn't needed anymore. learning how to get messages was complicated. that effected my response time. Theres lots to pick from. It's worth another try.
Lots of dodgy ads on here, just a waste of time. One day for something to do i flagged all the ads i thought were spam phishing etc. Over 40 of them. Three days later they were still there. A moderator contacted me when i complained and told me she cant do all the work and its upto people like me to point out the ads. I wouldn't mind doing this but some work from the lazy moderators is the only way a bogus ad will be removed. Another problem is, why do i have to enter my postcode each search.
Absolutely dumb. Trying to login with my phone right now. Asks me to verify my phone number, which I do, then when i hit verify, nothing happens. App just stalls. Tried to login with google, asks me to input my code from my authenticator. Thats fine, but when I go to my authenticator and return to inputbit, the app has gone back to the input username page. Back and forth for 15 min. Frustrated.
i tryed twice reinstaling the app and it does not work. always opens an empty white screen with "locanto" un the center. and after that, im asked to confirm that im not a robot every time i go to locanto with chrome.
This ad works for me. I have no issues with it. If you think you can post and 5mins. Later all world problems are solved. Think again like every thing else it's hurry up and wait. But everytime I have used them all problems and need were fulfilled
Not really sure what this app is good for. as everytime you contact somebody they either don't respond or they send you a link to another site which forces you to sign up to another site which is apparently free (dont get scammed by them!!!) but isnt as it asks you for cred card details. Personally think this app is useless
It is a scam, I posted my paid ad and they said they will highlight my ad. But they didn't, I tried finding it by myself. It isn't showing. And this app doesn't even have a contact us option to sort this out. Wasted my money
Lacanto ads get a good number of responses. Do find at times though that some people place ads but never respond, or enquire to an ad and when you reply they do not replies to your reply, otherwise a great service. I find more and more ads that are just designed to get you to sign up to an adault website. 😦
It's convenient to have the app. But it's *seriously* bug-riddled. Won't stop crashing, doing stupid things and forgetting where it was in a search. If I have it open and go to other apps, it's useless to go back to Locanto as it freezes. I have to close and restart. This happens on multiple devices and after uninstalling as well. Locanto is a big internet service. This is really quite unimpressive programming guys; you owe customers a better service than this. All the other companies manage.
