Lock Me Out

Great. Love the customizability. Better than digital wellbeing which was too easy to get around "just this once". I have a bedtime lockout set and a 30 minute addictions timer. One thing I would love is a snooze, where it'll give you a warning before your time is up and you can add 5 minutes (one time!). Sometimes I'm in the middle of a chess game and it's like nope, you're done, all of a sudden. I'd like a chance to finish the game. Great app, thanks.

Great app that really helps me waste much less time on my phone and be more productive. I appreciate the different configuration options for lockouts that aren't available from similar apps. Also, the developer is very helpful if you're experiencing any issues with the app. I found a simple way to disable the app during lockouts, but the developer updated the app promptly to solve this issue once I contacted him.

After using Digital Detox on and off for 3 years, I switched over to Lock Me Out because I wanted to allow certain websites instead of blocking the whole browser. Despite the basic-looking UI, this app has more features than a lot of its competitors, and I appreciate how compactly the settings are organized. One feature I still wish for, which I haven't found in any competitors either, is being able to count some websites towards the usage limit but not others.

This app is a digital boon for those who are addicted to their phone and are unable to give time to their study. It is highly recommended for everyone. I am using this app from last 5 years and it has never disappointed me. For other similar app you will be able to figure out ways to bypass but this one has already covered all loopholes. Even though if you feellike some issue try mailing them, they always have listened to my mail and if required have updated in the next version.

This is thoughtful and well designed app. In my experience thus far, all of its functions have been reliable and highly customizable. Customer support has been rapid and very helpful. The free version is a bit limited, but so it goes. I've tried a few other similar apps, and like this one the best. Overall, very satisfied. I'd go for it.

i love y'all. I've been using for more than a year and this is the most supportive and user friendly app I've found for this. 2 suggestions, 3 total lockouts are too little. 4 should be the minimum for a free version- 2 usage based and 2 scheduled. The second, the one time lockout option should be visible outside the scheduled lockout menu (like before the update). Keeping it under scheduled makes the process lengthier and discourages me from using the feature.

The only app blocker I've found that actually makes it (very) hard to disable. Easy to use, and has one-time premium purchase option. I would suggest a different block method than screen overlay, as it's known to be battery heavy and doesn't work in Android Go. But that's a very minor criticism.

I'd used this app for a few days and it worked PERFECTLY. I use it to lock myself out of social networks during the work hours. The reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because now every time I unlock my phone this app asks for accessibility permissions - that I had already gave otherwise the app wouldn't work at all - and it keeps opening up settings. I had to uninstall and install it again, I couldn't use my my phone for anything. It would be nice if this bug was fixed.

Great app, had the free version for a long time and recently upgraded to premium. I discovered that resetting my phone disabled the app, but tech support helped me fix that up quickly and now it is running perfectly! Best on the market that I have found

This is my first time I ever rate an app in the play store. Whenever I try to find a word that can describe this app words always fail me. It has everything an addicted person needs to quit his addiction. Moreover, the developers of this app are so much humble and cooperative. Even though their app is the best in this field, they always reply to emails and help any with any issue he or she might face. Such a perfect app with outstanding developers behind it.

Edit: This app has been excellent in preventing any workarounds. It took some time to set up a system that works for me, but I like the versatility. I appreciate the customer support of this app, and I want to apologize for using the review system as a way to get their attention when there's an option for it in the app itself! It really is a good app, I just didn't realize in the moment how to contact you.

I love this app- no ads and you can do plenty without premium. Update: If you use the prevent tampering setting and a password, be sure to send pw to a friend as well if you keep it written down because if you lose it you'll still be blocked from making any changes regardless if a lockout is running.

it's good in helping me get out of my rut where in pandemic i use phone every day for like 16-18 hours a day which is like hell and i'm losing sleep because of it, i tried to quit but it feels like i'm dependent on it, so thank you for this app, but i hope you can fix where i can freeze the app cuz it's make me able to use everything, (and i only discovered it now which leds to me reading novels again..... so pls help... me....)

When I first got the app it was brilliant, just what I needed. Then it changed, wasn't so easy to set blocks, but still worked. In all transparency, when the changes happened I was confused at first but when I looked into it, I could see how it worked. However the latest changes do not work at all. I tried some settings that always worked before. Now, nothing. What did work and now has put restrictions, does not work. Pls help. The settings no longer work to deny access. I have no different sett

One thing I'm unsatisfied about the app is its inability to set proper usage-based lock. I want to set a block so that after I've used a certain app or website for 2 hours, the lockdown will be active for the rest of the day, not for a fixed number of hours. Apparently, this app can't do that. Update: Thanks, I didn't know I could do that :D

This works great but having different passwords per each lockout would be a nice addition. I would also appreciate having a backup and restore system as well, that would be useful!

Really amazing app, beautiful, I wouldn't necessarily pay a subscription for the app, but I would pay a one time fee of like 30 to 40 dollars, thats how good this app is, it could use a tiny bit more work, but all in all excellent app.

Don't believe I've written a review yet but after having searched and tried thousands of blocking apps, this one finally works! You are able to BLOCK your phone access in a very easy and flexible way (as opposed to other apps where you can't really block your entire phone access). Really great 👍

This charged me 3 times in a row for a lock out when I didnt even schedule. Literally hate this APP. I am fine being charged if I lock myself out but this app intentionally charged me 3x in a row-I could not get onto my phone which I needed for work and while the people say to contact them they do NOT help. I have to go through bank for a refund which I absolutely will. WORST customer service and awful app. Don't bother purchasing. Be warned. Awful would give no stars if I could.

Don't know why but the ' Usage based lockout'does not work properly.It says 'Lock Out started' on the notification. But I can easily open and use it. It don't block the app even after the exact usage time I've set.Please solve this problem .

Well what can I say? I absolutely love this app and I wish success upon its creators for helping us overcome mobile phone addiction and unnecessary scrolling. My life has become more productive because of this app. Kudos to the team for providing the premium version for free as I cannot afford it currently but when things get better I will make sure to donate a considerable amount. Thank you.

I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. It's almost perfect. Simple to understand, does exactly what it said it would do. Highly recommended. My own issue is you have four choices when locking down an app as an example. Screen time of app / total screen time / X number of times app opened / or unlocked x times. Each of this is a single choice. If you want to lock out both time and openings you need to create two separate entries. I get it, you want people to use up the limited number of free rules and buy the app. Nonetheless, having an OR function here would be nice. I bought the app, I'm happy. Just wish it was easier to manage rule sets, especially for the paid version.

Love this app. I just hope the developer will add a back up settings or import/export settings in the future. I got a new phone and had to do all my profiles manually again. Overall, highly recommended.

App works as intended with quick customer service for anything you DON'T know. Does what it says on the tin. I use it to block distracting apps during my work day, and have a seperate timer for my web browser to lock after an hour usage. Had a bit of confusion with setting up the timed block, but reached out to their customer service and received efficient and helpful replies. Would buy again if I could, I will reccomend to all who needs it.
