Lode Runner 1

It's a fun game, but the enemy robots often get stuck behind the robot dogs. Which will block certain areas, which are usually needed to collect all the gold. So you have to restart the game or kill your character. It's very inconvenient and makes levels take way longer to get through as you've got no control over it. Would be nice if they updated the AI of the robots to simply walk the other way after being stuck behind the robot dog for a certain amount of time.

I had Lode Runner on my Apple IIe back in the early 80s. Fortunately, this has the classic levels because the new ones are trash. I played the first 10 levels and had zero risk of failure. Level 1 in classic mode is already leagues harder and more interesting. The classic game prettied up is 5 stars. The levels they made are an unfortunate waste 1 star. The inclusion of a level editor (which was amazing on the original too) bumps this up to 4.

Good game, but too dark and can't play offline. I wish the levels were brighter. Everything is just to hard to see in this game. Give us different colors. Can't play offline, good luck playing this out of cellular range. Too bad because this game has huge potential. The gamelan itself is solid but the dark colors make me depressed because it's just unpleasant to look at let alone hard to distinguish an enemy from a harmless brick.

Holds true to the classic. Last version I played was the N64 version. My only complaint is controls. That said I cannot knock it much because it's just inherent of touch screens. There are two control setups. Unlocked and locked. Both work as should. Gameplay is just as fun as long ago. Lots of stages. Worth 5 stars.

I'd like to report a small bug first. The robots get stuck if they're not able to complete their motion. When the crawling bot and the smarter bot's paths cross, they get stuck. This is annoying if you need to get through them first to pick up the gold. Review: the game's pretty good. Takes me back to the good ol' days. I used to play lode runner 2. This is a little different from that. I'd like for you to make a version of that one as well. Similar music, background and the likes.

I've played this only 10 minutes and already I've seen enough. Taking this insanely deep-cut nostalgia nugget, recognizing that despute its simicity it was fun to play and puzzle-out, and then to modernize it with such a beautiful esthetic and polish. AND include the original maps on top. All i could ask for more would be a skin/sound option that gives the retro look - i mean real retro, fat radioactive-green pixels on a black screen! 10/10. Will keep playing.

The forced Google Play sign in before you even try it is quite unpleasant. The game itself, certainly has potential (the switching between live and turn based controls is great) but after playing for few hours I have to say the action and tactical parts of gameplay suffers very much from the fact that half of the time you have to repeatedly kill mobs until RNG will spawn them on new suitable location. This is very annoying and just unnecessarily prolongs levels without proper gameplay.

One of the best game in android. It doen't contain any ads, nor any coins to buy stuff nor in-app purchases to unlock any thing new except to buy their classic version app in "playstore", for which it already has 100 of the levels of classic with better graphics out of 150. New character are unlocked by clearing levels. Also arcade games are my one of the favourite games, like in kid no needs of coin to buy or no need to hack, things unlock by unlocking levels and secrets, no ads just play.

This app has so much potential. It's a wonderful throwback to the original classic, but it doesn't have offline functionality, probably because ads. At the slightest sign of an iffy network, the app is reduced to a glorified loading screen. Please change this.

An awesome old game. I knew it as Hoards of the Deep Realm on the old MicroBee computer here in Australia. I don't think much of the updated version though, prefer the old school version. Only thing I ask, is the ability to play this game offline, as I don't always have mobile signal here in rural Australia(the reason for 3 stars!!). I would gladly pay to buy the game to have that ability!!!!

it was nice at first but level 58 is unclearable. it depend on where the creature spawn and it always at a location where u cannot win as theres no place to create a hole for it to fall. glitch unsolvable. it was nice to play until u know u can win. deleted the game. enjoy it while it last.

The game that wouldn't die! Thankfully. I've been playing Lode Runner off and on since the days of the Apple II+. I even have a version that runs under windows 7. This isn't a direct copy of the original Apple version, but that's ok - it's true to the "feel" of the original and just as addictive. Great job guys!

As far as I've played it's exactly the same game as the beloved original games aside from some new enemies. I'm sure they've made other changes along the way as well but the foundation of gameplay is certainly true to it's predecessor. A great revision of a classic.

More than 200 or 300 levels of, simply, the same. One of the most repetitive game I've ever played. It doesn't change anything between tge leveks, even the map is always the same. You should start to not to do a copy-paste with all your levels.

Okay until about level 75, then it needs faster and more precise controls than a touchscreen can give. Would be good on a console with a real controller but poor design choice for mobile devices.

This thing wanted access to my Google account when I attempted to load a completely different and unrelated game. I couldn't stop the notification from popping up when i cancelled the attempt and the other game wouldn't load, cos my phone got stuck in a notification loop from Lode Runner. Not good. Uninstalling! Shame, coz I like the game.

I really like this kind of game, it makes me remember how to enjoy a game without distress. Great UI, feels like playing arcade or playing old video games. Easy to play is the most importing so you can enjoy it without too much think.

Does not work offline!! I have installed this game to have something to play during my flight. Imagine my frustration, when I realized that it requires internet connection to work! I'd be happy to pay for offline mode, but apparently the creators don't want my money...

I played the first dozen levels and they didn't even pretend to have any challenge at all. You literally just had to walk over to some gold and pick it up. No puzzles or baddies. If I didn't already know the game had potential I would have deleted it by then.

Nostalgic and they took the effort to include the original levels from the 5.25 inch diskette. Albeit with current graphics and the modern Boston dynamic like robots.

I've been playing THIS game for a long time. On some of the "DAILY CHALLENGES", "RANDOM STAGES" and some of the regular challenge stages there's NO SOLUTION, yet the stage gets posted "as is". I created a few and had to completely runthrough it, before I can postit. It seems, however, the ones I find no solution to, bypassed that process...I wonder how that could happen? AmIsubjecttodifferentrules? I'd hateto delete thisgame, me havingto getas far as I have...IhaveNOTunlockedallofthecharacters!

really beautiful game and definitely not pay to win like other mobile games, one of my problems is not being able to play offline. Internet is not always stable and readily available in my place.

Only played it a few minutes on my 2 in 1 chromebook, but I love it already. Portrait mode and keyboard contols. Gonna check out your other aps now.

This is the best version of Lode Runner for the Android. It's focus is the game and not shoveling ads to you like some free to plays do.

Need better graphics and controls. Else a good time-pass game. More for kids.

This game is ???. 3 stars because why do you need likes on your levels to get more items. So, I do not need likes on levels to get more items.

Please update the game and give us more controller options. Is hard to play with this type of controllers.

This was a pretty good game but I'm very disappointed that it tries to force me to connect to Google Play. How about an option for people who don't want to share all their details to the cloud?

Clever, fun game with beautiful graphics, controls, soundtrack, and level editor!
