Logic Problems - Classic!

This app does not deserve the low rating it has. From a technical standpoint, it has a user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interface. From a gameplay standpoint, there are a variety of well-constructed and logically sound levels, each with multiple difficulties. And as a user, the cost of the individual puzzle packs is nominal considering the number of puzzles in each and, more importantly, the absence of ads. I'll be happy to send the developer a few bucks in return for a great game app.

Love this app! The latest update is great - improved format for the story, clues, and answer grid, you can hide/show the story as needed, the answer grid is on the bottom to make it easier to read the clues, and I love the story icons. The gameplay is top notch, and I like the difficulty levels; some puzzles are a breeze, and others are a challenge!

These puzzles are THE best! I've happily used the printed/magazine version, but the digital ones are even handier. The tougher ones are challenging but solvable; the easier ones are great if you're a little tired or off your game. There's enough variety of subject matter (& humor) to keep them fun. WELL worth the small fee! And if you run into trouble, customer service/support is super responsive. Thanks, Michael!

I very much enjoy this set of logic grid puzzles. Most of the negative reviews claim that you need to guess, which is never true. The puzzles are very fairly priced, with enough for free to tell if you'll enjoy them. It's hard to find good apps with this style of puzzle. I've also played most of the puzzle packs in the "Logic Puzzles - Brain Fun" app by the same developer. These have a very different feel to them, though it's a bit hard to describe that difference. Either way, try both apps.

Love the puzzles. When I tried the update it generated the 10 puzzles randomly and no longer provided the list of 10 that I could just go back and play any game I wanted. I reloaded the old version. Did the update again and now the list is there. Honestly don't know what happened. I will definitely buy more games. Keep up the good work.

Exactly what I was looking for. You can scroll through the clues while still viewing the grid. I've played another one where you couldn't see the grid while viewing the clues and I didn't like that. I've seen reviews saying they aren't solvable with the clues, but that is not true. Some of them are just really challenging. A difficulty label would help. There are no ads and you can do 10 free puzzles to see how you like it before ever paying. I think $3 for a pack of 30 is pretty reasonable.

I've loved these type of puzzles since I was a kid. This app's interface is great, clean and simple but all the features I want (automatic Xs, undo, etc). Every puzzle is absolutely solvable based on the clues alone but some of them get quite challenging! The logic is there though and it's really satisfying to finally make a breakthrough after being stuck. The packs are pretty expensive, though the developer's reasoning is fair. I do wish there were daily free ones like the other app though!

I found lots of the free puzzles weren't logically solvable, even with the answer guide... it felt like there were clues missing, which is just frustrating and is why I can't rate any higher. I really do appreciate the apps design though, there are a lot of cool little features that make working with these puzzles ridiculously easy. The controls are super thoughtful. I also love the actual layout of this app, reminds me of thr ones you would get in a puzzle book, just the experience I was after.

Love it!!! Payed for an extra pack and there are a lot more awaiting... 😃 (I usually don't pay for games, so this means I really believe it's worth it.) I love that there are no daily challenges or any other tricks to entice the players to log in daily or play for hours on end. I get to enjoy it without adds and at my own pace whenever I feel like it. That is rare in apps nowadays. The puzzles are fun and sorted by difficulty so I can choose my level of challenge for each occasion. 10/10

This type of puzzle is not for everyone, but I love them! I did not see a tutorial on how to fill in the graph. Let me explain. Your "X" indicates a negative or non match. Double tap to make a Green Circle, indicating a positive match. If you are new to these types of puzzles, they really are discovery of what remains when the other possibilities are eliminated. For example, if Grandma gave you a Bracelet, then no one else in the puzzle gave you a bracelet.

I love this game!!! Much closer to the classic logic puzzle experience - the grids are actually helpful in solving. You can see all of the clues at once to tease out parts. Just what I wanted! BTW, anyone who says these are unsolvable or the grammar is misleading needs to go back to logic 101. Try to remember that implications are not ironclad facts. Then try to stretch your brain beyond mere bookkeeping. This game is a worthy, enjoyable challenge. Thanks!!!

Was my favorite game, but something has happened where it doesn't work as well. The boxes on the far right are problematic. I cannot select any of the boxes in the last 3 columns without boxes in the 4th and 5th columns from the right being selected. It's maddening! I even Uninstaller and reinstalled. Still have same problem. Fix this mess please.

Excellent. Very recommended. Some puzzles use artificial difficulty. Example: Horizontal is: ABC-123-123. Vertical is: DEF-123-123. One set of 123 is 'Departure' the other is 'Arrival' and neither is labelled, meaning you have to fail or use clues to figure which is which, then remember it through the rest of the puzzle. Aside from that, this app is SWEET! I've purchased all of the packs! *An extra 2 stars was awarded for including the solving process, even if some are wrong.

Very good game and a good way to start doing logic puzzles. Only 10 puzzles though. The rest you have to pay for. It's not always easy on your phone when you correct a mistake it can mess up your correct answers. Hints are good but it doesn't explain clearly how the solution was worked out, but I only needed the solution for the 10th puzzle. I'd give it 4/5 stars if there were more free puzzles. Books are hard to find but easier to do than on a phone.

This is my favorite variety of logic puzzle, the "classic" puzzle I'd always seek in those multi-puzzle books at newsstands. That said, sometimes certain authors use confusing clues, and occasionally I'd like to use the logic clues it says it has available, however, they are *not* available. Ever. I thought maybe I'd just progressed too far for clues to help, but even if i try it on a blank board it still says "no logic solutions are available". The quick version has them, just not this one. :(

Makes you really think. If you enjoy logic puzzles you will love this. I do however agree with another reviewer who mentioned having to draw a map for one of the free puzzles that mentions parking spots. I was frustrated until I realized that the distance between the cars were clues IN the clues although not part of the grid options where you could tick it off. You'll know what I mean when you get to that specific puzzle. Other than that little bump...AMAZING app.

Really good game. Love these kind of logic puzzles. Only (small) issue i have is that a particular format of clue can be a bit confusing. For example the first clue Cat Nap, the bracketed part of the clue. Is Dover not the cat that's on the window sill or is Dover not the cat that's been with owner for only one year? I think clues like those (that have bracketed text at the end) could use a bit more clarity. (Unless they're meant to be confusing in that way and part of the puzzle)

Updated review after Michael was brilliant in helping me restore my puzzles. Really quick response. Thanks Michael. As for the app, my view remains that it is great. Puzzles are good and challenging enough to keep me interested. Controls are easy to use, especially when correcting mistakes. Am getting a bit addicted.

Frustrating experience, some of the logic is hard to follow as the grammar is very poor. It's sometimes impossible to work out if what they're referring to is one thing or another without trial and error. It's also no good for beginners, these puzzles are HARD, could do with some simpler puzzles as an introduction leading up to these. Also VERY expensive add on packs and only 10 puzzles are free. Could be a lot better.

I really enjoyed the Seconds, Anyone? puzzle. The weeks element was tricky and fun. If you can't solve it, restart and try again. Use the clues in reverse order. Use the guide. Make a table. Does that sound like too much work? If so, maybe logic puzzles aren't your thing. Don't like that the whole thing isn't free? Do us all a favor: create your own app, share it for free, don't include any ads, and be sure to add a new puzzle for us every day forever. You don't mind, do you? Great, thanks!

Great game. But you only get 2 free games & I'm not prepared to pay nearly £3 for one game, when I can buy a book of 50 puzzles for that. Silly price. EDIT. I made a mistake, you actually get 10 free games. And as there are no ads, I will consider purchasing more games, once I've finished the free ones. Sorry to Michael of Egghead Games.

Only done two so far.. just wanted to come by and say it's great. Although I didn't read the instructions first so it said I took hints I didn't need or want on the first one. It is a shame that I can't respond to other reviews but I think in number two after you get the basic info work out the info on bailey's position. It's easy then. The weeks and days info is important too. I initially balked at paying but the price is good for 30 puzzles and is tidier when correcting mistakes.

I love puzzle games and I am able to complete even the most challenging ones. However, this app. Ames it difficult to take notes. It would be better if the boxes had symbols one could use as notes (similar to sudoku or Clue). The notepad function in the app is clunky and on a separate screen. Make it easier to make notes or tentative clues and I'll re-download.

Longtime Penny Dell fan, terrific app, just what I want. Puzzles are hard but that is PD (one reason always preferred it over competitors). The rash fools grumbling about puzzle design (plus attacking the dev personally!?) should try, learn & improve before embarrassing themselves. 10-pack as free trial is fine, 30-packs are reasonable. (The actual magazines cost double that anyway.) And, no ads, *huge* plus! One small request: pls allow install to SD card...shouldn't need core memory!

this app has become part of my nighttime routine. pop melatonin, turn on extreme red shift on phone, puzzle until i doze off. i've used a lot of different games to serve this purpose but nothing else comes close. even other similar apps don't have as high quality puzzles as this one nor does their UI function anywhere near as well. i hope they never run out of content because i will always happily support their work!

I like to do these puzzles before bed when I need a change from the NYT crossword puzzle. I wish they were a bit more challenging (even the ones classified as 'harder' aren't very difficult). Overall, they are fun; logic puzzles are my favorite!

Barely a demo. Ten puzzles. The last one requiring you to draw your own grid and map manually so you can solve it. Clues are minimal and you can't even get hints (just the solution). I don't really want to pay extra for a game that will give you the whole answer to the puzzle when all you need is another hint.
