It comes with free puzzles (about 50) then you pay $2 per pack which is 30 puzzles or a monthly fee for all. There's a challenge of beating the time which feels impossible, and one thing that I don't like is how you have to go in order for the puzzles and can't just pick and choose which ones you want to complete first. There's no ads/ very little which is nice.
I'm happy with the puzzles and the level of difficulty, but I very much dislike the maskot and the time limits which are impossible to beat! In addition, in other games simply filling up the top 3 grids is enough to finish the puzzle but in this one you have to fully complete all 5, wasting time unecessarily. I'd be happier if the time limits for the excellent scores were more manageable, but apart from that it's a good app.
I really enjoy the app, but the problem is, every few days it completely deletes all of your progress. You have to start from scratch, doing the same puzzles over and over again. I even paid for and then cancelled a subscription because it is very frustrating. I'm actually going to delete, because while stimulating, its annoying to have to keep starting over. Update: I haven't had any issues with the app deleting in over a week. 1/16/2022- Lowered my rating because the app is deleting again.
The game is fine, the exact type of puzzle I'm after, but man! is the character irritating!! There's a time to beat challenge with an unreasonably low time (rarely more than 5 minutes) if you fail, the character is patronising as hell!! I am a slow reader, games like this are supposed to help me but this puts me down even after I succeed! It's insulting! Remove the old guy, make it about the game! It could have got 5*, instead only 1 (as there's no '0', and I'm deleting it. Dont download!
No ads, so that's great. I wish you didn't have to go in order but it's not a big deal. The layout of the actual puzzles is a bit different, but you get used to it. One thing is that it can get a little choppy, so I hope that gets fixed. Another thing is that after the 50 free puzzles, it's $2 per pack or $4.49 a month for everything, however I do wish there was a one-time payment since that can get a bit expensive. Overall I really enjoy the puzzles, the app just needs a little tweaking.
Best logic game I have found to date. Pleasing graphics, visually well-organized, and very, very hard! Want more! $60/yr is steep. Wd gladly pay a fixed price of up to $10, but not as much or more than one of my subscription TV services. Great app, can you be more realistic on price?
I love these grid puzzles! But same problem as many others, after a few days my progress resets and I have to do the same puzzles over again. I don't see the developers response to any others that have commented about this issue. If this occurs again I will delete the app. Hopefully this problems resolved!
Glad the app is back up and running! Been playing this game for several years. It used to be a 5 star app, but things have really started going downhill lately. Now my completed puzzles, in my purchased puzzle packs, are randomly being reset.. Not cool!
Nice and challenging, easy to use, though it would be nice not having to fill all of the squares to finalize each puzzle. Not a fan of having to sign into my Facebook to get extras, either, let alone invite someone.
I love it, but there is just one problem. If a "save game" be added. Because when I get stuck in a game, I like to pause it, and do something else. When I return, all my notes and moves in the game have been ERASED! Not cool.
I'd like it if they had an option to watch ads to unlock packs, instead of only having paid options, but it's a fun little logic game with a simple interface that's a great way to pass time
Well done game, but it loses your progress pretty regularly. I had just about completed all of the games that came with it and was about to purchase a pack when everything zeroed out, including my steak of daily puzzles. That's frustrating.
Challenging and fun puzzles. I would say my biggest problem is that the game is super slow. Plus, having to complete the whole grid is inconvenient when you have a whole row or column completed.
Best logic puzzle game of all the ones I've tried. My only "complaint" is that it doesn't backup competed games to the cloud correctly on my phone, but that means I can complete the free games again after I've had time to forget the answers.
Good puzzles, irritating reset every few days. This means having to complete the same early puzzles in each pack over and over again to try to get to new ones other than the daily one. Shame.
Love the challenge of the daily puzzles. HATE that it forces you to fill in the entire grid in order for it to register completion. The puzzle should be considered solved when either across or down grids are filled correctly.
Good puzzles, just like in the compendiums of yore. All solvable, though some with more thought than others. Only irritating part is having to complete both axes of the puzzle to complete the game, which is unnecessary time wasting
Would give 5 stars if the puzzle packs were updated every so often. Once you finish a pack, that's it unless you buy another one. Aside from the daily new puzzle, theres no reason to stay on the app.
I really like this game...however there is a bug where occasionally you open up the game and you have lost your progress on your current puzzle. I will rate this 5 stars if they fix that issue.
Quite good puzzles. Difficult to place deduction markers which is not so in other similar games. Update recently removed all my saves. Removed all my progress again. That's it. Deleted.
Fun game, but it keeps resetting my progress so I have to restart sections. I'd love to be able to see my times from the menu.
Overall I like it. Daily puzzles and you can play up to about 5 days back, plus some easy, medium, and hard puzzles. My main complaint is you must watch ads for hints but then it doesn't explain the logic, it just says "this is false/true. Mark it with X/O". Also to unlock one pack, you must invite a friend (post to fb; I posted with privacy set to Only Me) for the first half and write a review here to unlock the second half... Anyway, yeah, clearly 4/5 as I've rated above.
Edited 2/18/2021: it works now but I have the new layout and coloring. Is harder to read Love this app, but recently it has been constantly crashing and "closing unexpectedly"!
Really enjoyed these puzzles. Seems to have improved over the years. Less spelling errors. Would like to see some type of highlighting on clues.
I enjoy the puzzles & getting a new one daily. Clues are easy to understand and give just enough info to figure it out without being too easy!
Sometimes has typos or the answers don't match up. But overall it is challenging and a good way to keep your mind busy.
Good puzzles and a pleasant interface. Only two things. First, the character's rating is nonsense. When I took 10-15 mins over the best time, it said 'Well done!', but when I beat the best time, it said 'Good try' or some such. Second, the app crashed about seven times in the beginning, and each time I had to reinstall it, I lost all the games I had already completed. But it was still fun to do them again each time. I definitely recommend this one!
I love these puzzles. This app is one of my favorite pastimes. But, recently it crashed constantly! It is extremely aggravating. I've paid money to unlock puzzles and they can't even be played. Please fix this so I can change my review. The crashing has been resolved. Now there is a new issue however. After purchasing the bundles of puzzles or doing the monthly subscription, the puzzles clear and your progress is lost, leaving you to have to start all over and repeat puzzles constantly.
Edit: so I did have the issue of losing progress. The first few times it happened I closed the game and when I opened it again my progress would be back. However as of yesterday my progress is gone and hasn't come back. So far I like it. Some of the best logic puzzles I've seen in a while. Its challenging but not too hard. I haven't had the issue of losing progress (yet). The "time to beat" is completely unrealistic and I'm not a huge fan of paying for the packs to get more puzzles.
