I'm not sure what the deal with the other reviewers is, but the app works as intended for me with one LED smart bulb. I put the bulb into connect mode (flashing). The app connected. Off/on, color picking, brightness, timer/schedule, and choosing a 'scene' works, and fairly instantaneously, too. Not the most feature rich app (no strobe, no color cycle speed or spectrum selection) but it works as well as I can hope! Fun and practical, bright and beautiful.
Very good product(s) and app combo. It was not that hard to setup my smart bulbs by following the directions exactly. I had mine up & working in 6-7 minutes and even connected with my Alexa speaker. Only minor complaint is making the app a bit more intuitive to allow for more options but it does work perfectly every time for me. This may be confusing for non-technical people but the directions are very straightforward from my perspective. Definitely plan on purchasing more of their products!
If you are connecting with Google Home, make sure the person who set the Google Home up sets the smart device up. It was a bit of a hassle for me to set it up, but after that it is a great app! There is tons of customizability and things you can do like have your light turn on to wake yku up at a certain time.
The bulbs are great, the app not so much, I don't mind setting up scenes to much but the colour temp option when setting scenes never works! You are supposed to be able to set different scenes and have different colours on each scene but it just doesn't work, I can get it to change to the default colour I set in the colour panel but it's a pain to do everytime I want a different colour mood, app definitely needs some more work
The app works and you can easily setup new lights. But managing a group of lights is a pain. Since you can't group lights together and change the color of a group. You have to change each individually and assign to a scene. Like others said the app lacks features but hopefully future development will improve the app and features.
I like the product a lot bit the app kind of let's it down. It freezes up alot and isn't very responsive. You should add more scenes because the current amount limits what you can do. You should also be able to control if you want an effect eg. Fading, colour change. Please fix how slow the app is and the responsiveness.
It's horrible! I couldn't even get it to connect to my phone and I was sat for half an hour flipping the switch on and off, it blinks for 5 seconds and then stops, my phone analyses it and everytime it gets failed to connect. Im sending the bulbs back tomorrow. It was not worth the time and money.
Woeful. I moved house and had to reconnect my bulbs and this new app is terrible. It doesn't detect any devices, then it tells me to connect to the Smartlife hotspot on the second pairing mode, and when I do the app doesn't do anything it just keeps telling me to connect.
Worked fine to start with, now started dropping lights out of the groups. Even tried removing the groups and re-creating. For instance there are 2 bulbs above a mirror. Both are in a group, which used to control them both together. Now it only controls 1 even though I can still control each bulb separately. So frustrating.
Functional! Not my favorite to look at, and the UI is a bit confusing (I say this as a UI developer). I wish they had just went through a different app to manage their devices. Too many different apps to manage these off brand smart products.
Reporting issues is a joke: does not work. This whole system is a joke and unreliable. You're company is a joke and never replies to feedback! This app or the hardware hasn't been developed properly to connect to modern routers. Configured router from 5Ghz to 2.4. The point is: the developer hasn't documented the necessary changes that need to be made in the router. Now 15/12/19 switches on the light, but states device offline, and I can't use the app to switch it off. Not so smart
The use of this app feels clunky amd we really need light profiles in this app. Juat by tapping on a buttom in the app I would like to switch from cold white to warm white. This app is all about automation, but I wish to do it manually. I don't have those "Scenes" option as showcased in the screenshot.
Set up 6 smart bulbs about year ago with only minor issues. Phone died 2 was ago, got new android phone, downloaded app and have been trying for 3 days to restore function w/o any success. Checked YouTube video, etc. Get thru half of the process and then app fails to acknowledge device. Used auto and ap methods neither successfully.
The app feels pretty cheaply made. It's not easy/possible to put lights in a group to setup the scenes or actions. You end up having to go to each individual light and scroll and scroll and scroll to setup each scene. Real pain.
It lacks a lot of things, link lamps to do the same would simplify much more the app, it's confusing and not user friendly at all. Bright from 1 to 255 in smart category? Bright is 1-100 that's a huge mistake
Easy and fast install, working perfectly! In under 10 minutes I downloaded and created an account on this app, installed the lightbulbs, synced them in a group, and had zero problems! Very easy to implement and very happy to have chosen this product.
For the most part they work. There has been a few disconnects. The biggest problem I find is they do not integrate with home assistant, nor do they support ifttt. I wont buy them again.
Worked with Alexa for exactly 1 day. 24h later Alexa is seeing devices as offline and the Lohas app is crashing everytime it opens, preventing me from controlling devices at all. Likely returning these products and wouldn't recommend.
too many taps to turn lights on and off. You can create a button to "shortcut" but you still have to navigate to load the app to access it, theres no widgets or anything
Moved house and none of my bulbs are detecting on the app. Now I can't use any of them, they are basically normal lighbulbs . And they have removed the part where you select what kind of bulb it is so NOTHING works. This is frustrating as the app was already basic and now it doesn't even work
Voice control doesnt work. Wish there were more scene features. Sometimes the app doesnt connect to the lights.
I installed this App 'cause I bought some Bulbs that Instructed Me to do so. Even though this App usually finds the devices I've frequently had problems with the Alexa App "Discovering" the Same Devices. Until this App improves in coordination/communication with Alexa I will Not purchase any more Lohas Devices ! LesB
It's working fine with my Lohas bulbs, setting up was easier compared to Tuya app which never paired with my wifi at all. I was about to return the bulbs because the app that was on the instruction manual says was to use Tuya app but never paired until I checked youtube on setting up this bulbs and they were using the Lohas Smart app. Good thing I tried and now it also works with Alexa.
Terrible products, constantly un-syncing themselves and the app to manage them is terrible as well. Absolutely not smart devices worth buying, just pay extra for another brand.
Used to be fine but now the app seems to have constant bugs. Won't let me change light colour app crashes. Needs an update to sort out the bugs.
Timer for turning lights on just doesn't activate most of the time. App control of lights is often delayed, or doesn't work at all. Many nights I just can't turn off 1 or more of my lights. The button doesn't respond for several minutes, sometimes 20 while I waiting to go to sleep. And this app seems to have never been updated, and I've had it for years. Absolutely neglected and poorly maintained. Setting timers is also a pain, and setting it for more than 1 day is a very slow process.
