It's ok. It's honestly not as hard as other reviews say. You just need to think about your deck a bit. The monetisation is way off, prices are all over the place. You don't need to pay though. The real problems are with longevity. After four runs I'm starting to lose interest. You unlock new cards with each run but really it needed to unlock more enemies, encounters, and heroes. (You can unlock more heroes with in-game currency but the price is absurdly high - I'll abandon the game long before)
The writing feels like it was ran through a poor translator and never checked by anyone who speaks English, the ads are optional, but can be a bit too frequent, depending on RNG, and to top it off it seems like it'll be a very long grind to unlock anything without spending. So why did I give it four stars? Simple. Despite its problems, the gameplay is surprisingly fun and addictive, and I've enjoyed it quite a bit even if I have problems with it.
Really good game, i like those kind of turn based card games like this, this game is a bit hard to learn but fun when you get the card combos you need to be unstoppable, i like it, but the reason of the 4/5 is because of its soul system, its really hard to get souls whiteout spending money, and the characters are too expensive, takes about a week or two to grind for a new character. But besides that, really fun and exciting.
Pros: low-cost alternative to Slay the spire, with fun characters and abilities to use. Cons: Card text and story are poorly written and translated; game is extremely unbalanced, with enemies that can deal around 100 damage in just one turn, meaning that if you do not have enough draw power and energy to actually play the cards, you're stuck taking all that damage; Cards are really bad and sometimes become even worse when upgrading, increasing the energy cost of the card instead of reducing it.
This is a amusingly fun game. It's poorly balanced, but fun anyway. Sadly, the ability to move between devices is broken. I discovered this when I thought about paying to open the one paywall class. Decided to verify that that wouldn't be a bad move. But I tried three other devices, and it throws the same "too many requests" error each time, even when it's the first attempt to load the save. Without a useful save/transfer ability, I just can't pay for anything.
Hello developers! I really enjoyed the game and the art. But I have run into a bug that prevents me from continuing the story. THE SECOND BOSS DOESN'T SPAWN. If you click on the 2nd boss's level you'll have a blank screen only with the background. Note:I have viewed the prophet. Please fix asap. Thanks! Edit : It seems the glitches / bugs are still here in the current version. Please fix!
The story mode gameplay for this game is quite fun, while having some really challenging fights. That being said, there are a few problems with the game. The game could really up the English translation, as well as the story. That being said, the endless mode is unenjoyable hard. The final bosses in story were all hard with almost too strong abilities, but I still felt like I could win and was having fun, but abyss seems impossible to the point where I am uninstalling. It does have potential!
Really, it's pretty darn fun. My only issue, when the difficulty ramps up, far too steep. You will get stuck at some point.. you'll want to try and try again with a different strategy.. You will fail.. So basically, it's not quite balanced. I rate the game highly, because it's very fun.. and being a former game programmer, I know how hard that part is. With some tweeking.. ?!??! This game would be one of my most favorite.
Suffers slightly from translation and localization, such as the story diary looking like hot garbage. The game itself is excellent. Themes and art are good. Doesn't seem to have a conclusion for the story yet, but that's not vital for this kind of game. High replay value. Ads are included very smoothly, additional paid content well designed top feel optional, a way to get more game rather than limit the current game.
The gameplay itself is good but when I discover that the game does not support cloud saves... is just unacceptable. The gameplay is fun but also slow. So this issue should be seriously taken care of. I dont want to lose my account for some unfortunate reasons. And the new feature (endless) have a lot text bugs. The text is black and thick so it is basicly unreadable.
This game is really fun to play and addictive although you need to spend a little bit to be able to fully enjoy the game the controls are great and easy to understand. The game itself is fun but i think you should make the custom start a little bit more 'consistent' like maybe have an option to take out a locked card or have a card that you can select from every single cards you have unlocked. All in all great game
Cool gameplay but very deceptive. It's nearly impossible to distinguish the paid version from the free version. The paid version still has in app purchases. Not surprising since it goes on "sale" often but it seems as though they are the exact same game. The gameplay is good but its plagued with balance issues and the over all structure of its ads and in app purchases are predatorial and deceitful. I like it, but do not recommend.
The language in the game is abhorrent and makes many of the descriptions hard to understand, further complicating the game. The introduction to the game is poorly done and uncompelling. The enemies seem to either die in the first round or demolish you quickly, primarily the bosses. However, I did enjoy the characters path movement to the boss and the enemy sprites, and alright deck customization options throughout game play. Overall it's quite poorly made and there are better games like it.
Not really an experience per say. More of a question. Why is there 2 of the same game on play store. Both have different ratings. Also I've been playing for quite a while and I've noticed that when playing swordsman, the ending is a little hard. Not sure if I'm just doing my run wrong but the gap between moves and damage is rough to fight.
Pretty fun game. I like the dark theming a lot especially in a game like this. Translation could be a little better but it's understandable when you do see something not worded correctly at least. $5 for the assassin character is a bit steep for the difficulty and repetition of content, which it could sure use more of. But overall I have spent several hours playing and it is good at pulling you in making you not notice the time that's passed.
Fix the damn text.. The english is so broken it hurts to read. Other than that i think this game is awesome. Love the artstyle, the gameplay is the right amount of challenging, there's tons of different cards that make it possible to make different "builds" to play. It's like slay the spire, but with horrible english and optional ads.
Really like the game, definitely on par with slay the spire, I really appreciate the short backstory each character gets and that it doesn't let you go insane with the character abilities and gain 20 like I've seen done in slay the spire. I enjoy that the game isn't play to win, despite having in-app purchases. One minor thing I wouldn't mind having changed is making it so that you can upgrade cards more frequently or remove ones you don't want a little more frequently in story mode at least.
This game is literally amazing, however, it has one flaw and it's that the game is a little hard to finish because some options are out of player control, like upgrading your cards are based on chance and you can't do it whenever you want. And damn the last boss is strong. You can't just beat the game with skill and strategy and luck plays a huge role in the game.
For a card game based roguelike, this game goes really well. The difficulty is good for newcomer and there is plenty of replay value. However, controls could get few love here. Since it is played on landscape view, the side button to end turn often mistapped when right hand trying to reach center of screen. Then, pulling and sliding card often caused mistake. Could just tap and target/cancel button. Sorting hand or deck are tedious. Auto sort like when using god of hand card would be useful.
This game is actually pretty fun to play the only issue is that if you play for long periods of time the game freezes well at least for me. Making me lose any progress for that run I am doing. Other then the freezing I love the game greatly it reminds me of kingdom hearts chain of memories since you build a deck to fight in that game to. Anyway if you fix the freezing issue, I will up it to 5 stars. So if anyone is reading this be sure to save often or risk losing progress repeatedly.
I really love the gameplay system, and all the roguelike elements as well as the diverse item drops and all. But only one thing that really, really does bug me is the language used in the game. English in the game is very, very broken english. Grammars are all wrong, a lot of words are mispelled, and lastly the description on the monsters look like someone chased by deadlines to create interesting desc, but ended up with short, broken, disturbing sentrnces. Maybe if you need help i can try ~
This game is amazing! I love the artwork as well as the unique experience each game has, it is extremely challanging as well as fun. Its just it crashes a bit when you die and head back to the main menu, and it would be great to have more classes. Thank you so much for making this game, definitely one of my favourites!
Been having a lot of fun playing is game with no issues or having to spend money on it, other than watching some adverts. The game play is fun and I like the way it is designed. First game mode (campaign) you must carefully choose your cards as it is hard to remove them. Second game mode (Abyss) you can add and remove cards freely but requires extremely careful resource management and is very challenging. It is a ton of fun. I suggest giving it a try and seeing it for yourself.
