Lorex Cirrus

This app works well the majority of the time. Occasionally, one camera (furthest from NVR) will not show up on the app, but has no problem showing up on my TV through the NVR. Notifications work well. Notifications will delay for much longer than desirable at times, but the majority of the time notifications are sent about 5 seconds after the camera picks something up. Overall, it works well for my wire free NVR setup.

One camera will not work outside, I now have it inside but the area I need covered is not,spoke to customer service several times, still no solution, when I put the camera outside, on the other side of the wall where the DVR is the screen turns black, later showing the last thing I recorded whilst still inside the house, one foot out the door, and nothing. I switched this with the other cameras they all work fine. Over a month, no solution. One other issue, will not keep the correct time!

Raising my review from 1 star after 2 years to 4. I spent 2 years without a working app it was updated and stopped working. As thousands posted the same complaints they did nothing. Customer service was abysmal. Over and over what's your model, your firmware, your phone, your app version over and over and over blaming my wifi. Then after a recent update immediately it worked again. Cannot give 5 stars because they were horrible to deal with. Avoid LOREX never again.

This app is so useless. In theory this app sounds great, howver it's unreliable. It rarely works. So frustrating to use. No respond when emailing the team

This app is horrendous. The majority of the time all I see is circles going round and round in every box with no image.

Its was working great then it stoo send notifications to my phone when it detects motion or people. I can't get it to work.

Been using for over 6 months. Love the feature to see it live or recorded. As well as to have the ability to talk during the live feed. Battery holds up very well. I'm still learning how to tweak the sensitivity settings. Birds, wind, and shadows from the sun seem to trip it alot. Picture clarity is great day or night. I wish we could buy more cameras, separately. There's spot for 4 more.

Cameras eork great. Nice picture. But the app itself is not that great. It is hit and miss on whether it works. Over the last week have been unable to watch the replay. Not being able to see what went on over night is annoying. Even Uninstaller and reinstalled the app. Still not working. You would think for expensive, high quality cameras there would be a better app.

Editing former post from 1 to 5 stars and to say that this app is working great now. Latest update fixed the last problem I had with not being able to take and save photos and videos. Also is speedier to open now. 04/28/2022 App has been working very well for me for several years now. No problems at all. The equipment is a different story. An upgrade would help, but money is tight.

This app is intuitive and not difficult to activate. The features can be modified to make it fit your individual requirements for security.

This app is just garbage, it works when it wants to, lorex doesn't seem to care about fixing the issue

My initial experience with this app has been nothing but frustrating. The app isn't very intuitive. It would be nice to just be able to arm the cameras without having to go through a whole gamut of settings to set them, and even then I struggled to get my cameras to record to the NVR. No issues with receiving notifications but it's been a challenge to get the cameras to record, and be able to view them from the app.

UPDATE 3/12/22 - Worked for awhile, but again I get motion notifications but app won't connect to unit for playback. What changed??? UPDATE 3/31/19 - Received and installed equipment in December 2018. Since then the app constantly shows device not available, I'm unable to view live feed or notification playback. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset equipment, etc. no solutions. The video quality is not what is represented on website. App needs serious work.

App says connect close when away from home. Attempts to contact customer service has been futile. Not able to call, there's no option to use the chat for technical issues with the app. There's no email address on their website either to deal with the app. Save your money and time. Buy another camera. Will update if somehow this frustrating issue gets sorted out adequately

This app continually loses connection and it takes me hours of time trying to reconnect, after pulling all cameras down and reinstalling.

The original Lorex app functioned OK, so of course they had to update it. Lorex made it obsolete and replaced it with this garbage. I have tried countless times to log in to my DVR, but the app just says "connecting". It never gets any further than that, I have two systems and 16 cameras, and while they still record to the DVR they are worthless if you actually want to view them remotely or get alerts that someone is prowling around your property. I use FLIR equipment on the job, and their IR stuff is fantastic (except for battery life), so I decided to trust them on their video equipment. I'm ready to throw it all away and go with a different brand. FLIR should be ashamed to have their name on anything to do with Lorex.

Even on 1 (low) the motion detection still gets set off by leaves and shadows from trees and the like. Solid performance, great video quality, but is lacking in several customizable features such as infrared "night vision" without the light. Nothing says "here I am, I just saw you, come smash me" like the light on the camera. And with no way to turn it off.

This is possibly the worst App I've ever had the misfortune to use. Although the App loads quickly, none of us have been able to connect to the HDD to either view Live or Recorded images. Working away from home it very important to have that peace of mind that your family & home are safe. Even after emailing the help address LOREX have failed to respond. If you can avoid it, then don't use it, as I currently have a system I can't use.

The cameras are great and work very well! This app however is just terrible. It misses notifications for days, playback sometimes doesn't work, it's slow and not user friendly. I have to close the app in the background if I want the video to load properly. For the amount of money paid for the cameras you would think the app would actually function. 1 star only because the video is clear and I can speak through the microphone.
