Lorex ECO Stratus

Lorex Eco Stratus allows you to connect to Lorex Eco DVRs featuring the exclusive Lorex Stratus Connectivity service. Lorex Stratus Connectivity allows you to view your cameras on your mobile phone using a simple 3 step setup process. Simply download the app, scan the QR code on the top of your DVR and enter the password to connect to your system. No complicated port forwarding or network configuration is required.
The app allows you to:
- View live video from multiple cameras.
- View recorded video saved on your DVR hard drive.
- Save snapshots and video directly to your device.
- Control PTZ cameras from your phone or tablet.

Prerequisites:
- Android v2.3 and higher supported.
- High-speed Internet access and a router (not included) are required. Please note that an upload speed of 1Mbps is recommended for the best video performance.
- Connect your DVR to your router using an Ethernet cable.

This app used to work now i can only long on if I'm on the same wifi that it's on. Can't log on remotely when I'm away from home. That makes it pretty useless. My system is 6 years old or older, a simple reboot of the router would always fix connection issues. But no longer does. Have the app on 3 different phones none of them work. I also have the pc version on my computer which is on different wifi than the recorder and it doesn't work either. If i connect to the same wifi it works fine

I'm having all the same issues as everyone else. I hate the app update. I figured out that I needed to put my IP address in instead of that QR number. Well my cameras connected however only when I'm on my wifi. As soon as I turn it off or leave the house they don't connect. Terrible! I've has these cameras for 8 years with very little problems up until this point. Why would you push out an update and not send out specific instructions on how to change your settings. Not happy, not at all!

0 stars! Worst app, no fix. App always crashes and does not allow remote viewing if you're away from them. It only works periodically if you're connected to the same home wifi network that the camera is plugged into. It will not work with you're cellular data which defeats the purpose of having the app. The lorex secure app worked fine until they forcefully discontinued it and replaced it with this garbage. Lorex does not care to fix it. Buy a different security system with actual app support.

Ever since the end of September update this app has turned to utter rubbish. After the update I lost my configured DVR setup. And when I went to go back the only login type is IP/domain. I cannot put device ID or scan the QR code on the DVR anymore. Their customer service or support department if you could call it that is not very helpful inexplaining why those features are removed out of the app update. I really don't feel like trying a bunch of mumbo jumbo and reporting back to them.

I can't see any of my cameras on any phone. Just recently they all just stopped displaying live view. When you try to add the devices again no qr scan ability is available. When you enter the unique device # it still does not show any cameras. You should remove whatever was done as an "update?". Put the old system back in place! This is terrible! This is serious!

Latest update has removed my system completely. It looks like it can only be added back by IP address. After adding it back by IP I can only connect to it if i am on the same network. I can no longer connect remotely or through the app when I am away from home. This app was good but now is totally worthless.

Was good for a few years then suddenly around July August we could no longer access cameras via app. No matter what i tried it still does not work very disappointing and frustrating. Now the app wont even allow me to scan ir enter the id off top of dvr, only gives option to add device via ip address, I tried and it fails to connect. Being able to access cameras away from home is very important, and has be made un available. Ready to buy new cameras, and with this situation they wont be lorex

this app is now totally useless can only connect thru IP address and if your connected to the network. You can't connect remotely so WHAT GOOD ARE SECURITY CAMERAS IF YOU CAN'T view while away. Time to look for new system and i can see this company folding because it's all their apps. To think I loved my system prior to this update you messed up bad fix it.

Was working fine up to a month ago. Prior to update, the device showed red (could not connect). Hoping the update would fix the problem, I ran the update. After update, it removed the device. Tried to add it in device manager, but it does not have the device option to scan, only ip/domain login. Just go back to the old setup it might of had bugs, but better bugs then not working at all..............................

I recently did the update to you lorex eco stratus app and am now not able to connect my DVR. The Qrs bar scanner feature has been takin off the DVR add feature, and we the user can't manually enter information because login type is stuck on ip address/domain name, not device name. I've read several reviews of the app and everyone seems to be having this issue, are you working on and update that can fix this. Thank in advance.

Had this system for a few years. Nothing but problems. The QR scanner disappeared off the app and Lorex doesnt seem to care. I see several people on here with same issues. The cheap ones from China have better apps and no issues. Lorex really ruined their product and they arent easy to deal with on tech support.

Keeps disconnecting and does not want to reconnect.. very unstable. .this app is absolutely garbage if not fixed soon I will buying a competitors product. Never had an issue until this app came out.. Update, I've contacted lorex multiple times, yes they get working 2 days later I'm back to not being able to connect or getting disconnected. I don't have time wait an hour on hold each time I have this issue. The old app I used before was flawless.. this one is garbage

I'm having similar issues on my Android device. All of a sudden it won't connect. My saved devices disappeared and when I go to setup a new device now the qr scanner won't work and entering in the id isn't working either. It would be great if the app worked, I'll tolerate the ten year old UI but make it work.

Totally shows nothing after updated, even cannot find my cameras, had tried to "add" it back but it showed it is already added and nothing showed on the device manager . Just getting worst and worst. Come on Lorex, fix them all. If you cannot linked them up by cellphone data(not by home wifi), why we need yo set up the cameras.. FIX IT!

I have a workaround. Search in Google for Lorex ECO Stratus 2.09 apk & download it. Uncheck automatic app updates in google play. Go to settings, apps and uninstall crappy lorex app after clear cache/data. Enable (just once) allowing Android installing apps from "unknown sources". Enter your settings and see majic happen. The update is counting on CA certificates that are not available in newer Android versions and that's why it won't work. You will have to update apps manually in google play.

I lost my cameras when they done an update. I've been sending messages hoping they give a simple answer to restore my service so I can once again view them while not at home. I see I'm not alone with this problem. How about simple easy to follow instructions that get them back. I for one need simple for I don't understand the high tech mumbo-jumbo .

I've had this system and app now since 2015 and I believe the developers just gave up. I know there are much better cameras and services on the market now, but I paid $500 for my camera system and cannot just go out and upgrade my system every time there is a new bell & whistle with tech. This app has always been spotty, but now it only works and shows me my cams if I'm in my house. Wifi or not, it will not connect to my system outside the 4 walls of my house. This started in August 2019.

If I could give this app less than one star, I would. It does not work anymore. I used to be able to view my cameras on my phone and tablet, or PC. No longer the case. Yes, I have contacted tech support, but have spent many hours on the phone with them to no avail. Yes, I have emailed as well. I would recommend that you not buy products from this company until they correct the current issues. I have been hung up on as well, I guess it wasn't appreciated when I indicated the many negative reviews with regard to the app and the low rating. I spent hundreds of dollars on this system and it should be working. I also can't understand, I had a two year warranty, but the site shows the warranty as having expired after only one year. I bought this system in 2017. I production date indicates 2015. I should have returned the set when I noted this in 2017. I was lead to believe this was okay by tech support when I questioned it. So, please purchase other security products. BUYER BEWARE. PLEASE LEARN FROM THE REVIEWS POSTED HERE.

Trash. I should not have to email you. When I download the app I should be able to scan or manually type in the Id for my lorex receiver box, which I can not because it does not even have that option. If I had the chance to give you a lower rating/review I most definitely would.

I just got off the phone support Tech and they informed me that the new app [Lorex Cirrus] has software problems and they are working on it. For now the app only works with your home Wi-Fi. They also inform me they don't know for sure when this new upgrade to fix the problem will come out.

It used to be remotely connectedsing my phone. It's stop working some time in september 2019. Called and spent more than an hour with technical support today, finally it works. For people wondering how to make it work, here are the main steps: 1/ configured portforwarding on your router 2/ created a DDNS account with LOREX 3/ on app, enter your DDNS IP address. I write this just for your infor, it's long procedure. LOREX at least up date the instruction or better update/ roll back the app.

Since device update, I've lost the ability to view the cameras remotely thru my phone. I did the update on the phone and the device is gone afterwards. The new app will not scan the QR code on the device. Without remote viewing, this camera system is basically useless. I will never buy another Lorex again.
