Lorex netHD

Lorex has now addressed the issue with this app for everyone running 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 (not sure about higher) by providing an APK via customer service. The APK updates this app to a version of Lorex netHD Stratus which does work on both platforms. ***Please note that I did not download Lorex netHD Stratus from the PlayStore as one is available but based on the comments there, it too seems to have issues. Lorex customer service provided the APK which upgraded this app. ***

I use the iVMS-4500 app which works even better than the lotex app. I reported the lorex app not working for months and even called technical support who couldn't do anything. The main reason I bought lorex was to view my camera remotely, finally I gave up and found a better app. Hope this helps until lorex fix their app.

Please fix your app to work with lollipop so I can change my rating back to 5 stars. I just installed swannview plus and it works great. Use the IP addresses instead of the Web address. Thanks to the person below that gave the to tip.

App did not work with any of my Android devices. Could not find any accurate info on Lorex support site. Wasted time trying to get the Lorex app working. *****FIX***** Just download and install the SwannView Plus app from the Google Play Store. I have tested and confirmed that it works perfectly on my Galaxy S7 Edge with Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). when comparing the apps, it's obvious they are from the same codebase, and even have the same layout and icons. I guess Swann just updated their app.

This app is horrible. When I first got my Galaxy S5 September 2014 about 6 months after the S5 was first real eased, the application did not work, Lorex support was unable to fix the problem, said it was a Samsung or Verizon issue, which it clearly was not. A few months later, the app must have gotten fixed by Lorex programmers because it eventually did work on my S5. However, since upgrading to Lollipop, the application is not working once again. Lorex programmers really need to stay ahead of the game and fix their apps, so they work on the latest operating system!

It works well on my Samsung S3 but being an I.T. person I am not willing to open ports 1025, 8000 and 80 (you need to open more than just one port for it to work) on my router as this is extremely dangerous. The App. has bugs on port, go figure. On top of that, the traffic is not encrypted. My solution: use Connectbot (freeware) via SSH on Android, then use bitwise Sshd (freeware) at home, it works really well! Only 1 port needs to be opened on router and it's way more secure. Pretty decent even on LTE.

UPDATE: Someone else mentioned this but worth stating again -- Swannview Plus app works with lollipop and is the same program as this one. Great work around for sucky Lorex. My original comments now follow: Lorex you have officially lost my business and I will be going out of way to let others know to avoid Lorex. Just embarrassing letting your mobile app be broke this long. Was a great app right up until the lollipop upgrade.

I was about to give up until I saw Ravi's comment. It really works. Download this app and go to top left corner, click on 3rd tab to add device. Simply change register mode to IP/Domain and enter your IP address. Then log in and you are set. THANK YOU for sharing this!!

Works at home on my wifi but not when I leave my home or connect to another network. I called the installation support number and they told me they could adjust the settings on my phone for about 200 dollars! I aleady have the cameras mounted and working with my home network and wifi so not sure why so much money to set a few app settings. I ran the Lorex provided port forwarding software and can see the documented ports forwarded but still wont work. The NVR is connected to my routers network port.

Took me multiple phone calls to get a hold of right IT TECH who spent quality time to do PORT Forwarding & then fix issues and resolve IP/Port/DDNS and remote playback issues. Now I can view live cameras on my Laptop, IPhone, IPad and Droid RAZR Max HD. Couldn't be any happier, Best Product & Awesome Lorex IT Customer Support via Phone Call.

Works great on my S4. We installed the Lorex system at my home and office, hd is amazing and app functions as supposed to.

Lorex doesn't seem to care about their customers. They won't update this app to work with lollipop. I downloaded Swannview Plus and it looks just like this app except for the fact that it works with lollipop. This tells me that when it's time to upgrade I'll be looking into a Swann system.

No idea when Lorex will offer an update. Use other cam viewer apps instead of Lorex or better still buy another system.

I've tried every Lorex app out there and none are compatible with the lnr300. The iPhone app works. Lorex just decided to drop support on their $3,000 camera system.

After up date, it automatically shut down the app. Plz fix this.

I found that the Swannview Plus app is compatible with android 5.0 and works with the lorex products in place of Lorex netHD. Setup the swann app with the same info from the lorex app.

Experiencing immediate app crashes since Android 5.0 update. This app works but is a bit difficult to figure out for a new user. Icons are not labeled and the UI is a little clunky. Could definitely use an overhaul IMO.

Lorex was great until I figured out they don't care about their customers and won't fix their app for android devices. I am getting ready to add more camera's at my shop but you can bet they won't be Lorex!

spent decent money for camera system to be able to remotely view but can't do that since it crashes can't even get one to work. spend some time to update the app

7 months been waiting for a fix. I found IP Cam Viewer, version 5, Robert Chou, works great with my NVR 200's, all 16 cameras up. Much better Android app.

Unable to see all cameras, crashes on landscape view, still not working. Phone version works fine, tablet version is a disaster. Song w waste your time, remove from play store

I installed in my S2 and nothing happens. Installed in my Asus transformer and the same. I am sure Lorex will fix.

Had no issues with prior to lollipop upgrade on my nexus 5. Now crashes while trying to connect to the cameras.

It worked perfectly. I updated with lollipop and it doesn't work any more. Please fix it.
