We managed to find everything we needed in LA without having any access online. The only drawback is that you cannot use it for direction as a GPS. You have to constantly check the map in order to find the best available route
I've downloaded all of Ulmon's offline maps. I like the tools the app provides, like easy creation of personal bookmarks, the clear an readable interface and the precise maps. They got me through wonderfull trips in Tokyo and San Francisco. I recommend with both hands. Cheers!
