Lost Books of the Bible Free
Lost Books of the Bible is a collection of New Testament Apocrypha, including many works which were admired and read by the early Christians, but which were later excluded from the canonical Bible. It includes accounts of the young Jesus, particularly the Gospel of Mary and the Protevangelion, which provides additional folklore about the birth and youthful adventures of Jesus and which are missing now. Of note are the letters of Paul and Seneca, and the letters of Herod and Pilate, which are most likely a forgery, but add more depth to the question of the historicity of Jesus. There are also a number of non-canonical epistles, such as Laodiceans. Also worth a close read are the three books of the Shepherd of Hermas, which uses apocalyptic and symbolic imagery. This collection is an invaluable selection of portions of the New Testament which illustrates the fluid nature of the early Biblical canon, and provides access to all of the 'spare parts.'
The Forgotten Books of Eden by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr., 1926This is a popularized translation of the OT pseudepigrapha, quasi-Biblical writings which never achieved canonical status (or inclusion in any of the official Apocrypha). This isn't to say that these documents are forgeries, just that for one reason or another they were not considered part of the Biblical text by the first millenium (C.E.) compilers. This book contains translations of all of the texts found in volume I of the weighty Oxford University Press Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, without any of the apparatus.

I love this app because it makes it very easy to find scriptures fast, because of the Scripture title,chapter,and verse can be just touched and you're there. I also use the KJV Bible app by them as well. I only wish that it contained all of the lost books of the bible instead of select ones. Overall this is the perfect app for bible study anywhere, anything. Awesome!!!!!!
I love this! Everything is all in one!! Most lost books of the Bible don't include the testaments of the 12. But this one has it! Easy to follow and understand. The bookmark feature works properly too. It's a great app and I recommend you download it!!
It gives me indeph of the Bible but is not arranged for easy readings. After each chapter, one has to go back and start the other. If all these were not taken out of the Bible, I think many people would have done better than what we are doing. Thanks to the translators and publishers. God richly blessed you all.
I love this app. It provides exactly the content it purports to, as far as I'm aware. The lost books are extremely insightful and I appreciate the developers and everyone who worked and works on this app in order to make these "lost books of the Bible" easily accessible to everyone interested in the subject. I haven't experienced any glitches nor any mistypings, thus far. Thank you!
The book of enoch is actually 105 chapters long this app only has 68 of them and it also doesn't line up with the book of enoch chapter 68 that I have which makes me question the authenticity of the entire app. I was going to purchase the ad free version but don't think I will now knowing that I may not be getting the true, complete chapters of any or all of the books. Unless I'm completely missing something, that's quite a Terrible shame.
This app has been amazing. I've been using it for years. When someone throws out a verse in conversation or studie, I use this to look it up. I then pull up the blue letter Bible app and look up 2 more translations in that app. By having this older txt and the other 2, I feel I can get a better grasp on the gospel. Ofcorse using learned knowledge, and going to God for clarity.. I feel this gives the best opertunity for truly God sent revelation.
My experience with the Lost Books of the Bible has helped me tremendously. I refer to this app every day in my study of the word. It has given me a new perspective in how I interpret Scripture and what the Most High has revealed to His followers. I have given this app to others to download to their cell phone. Don't know how I lived without this app!

Great app that has the lost books of the Bible & the King James Version with it that anyone can highlight what they need, alongside many others feature. Definately a 5 out of 5.
This is a great app, with nice feature to make highlighting and bookmarking important text for latter study easy. Generally love the GUI. It makes reading easy and simple. However, it could be improved further by adding 'foot notes', links or references to other related verses or scriptures.
Thank you, Lost Books app! You have the books I'm looking for so far. It could be me, or answering prematurely, as I just started using the app, but it took me a short minute to find the lost books. As for the additional questions, I don't know if the app allows you to lend books, or whether the description and experience match or dictionary good, yet.
I would like to give five but there is one issue on this app, you can't back to the chapters when you are reading chapter 1 and finished then you would go again to the content table and open again your book. Apart from that it can't speak but I like it mostly. Anyway thanks for the good effort.
Awesome!! Educational!!! I was always taught that the books removed from the Bible we're stories that didn't glorify God, but rather we're more biography oriented. Boy am I glad I read this. There are so many awesome stories. So many questions answered!!!! In Revelations, we are told that whoever adds or subtracts from this Gospel will receive the plagues called out in this Gospel. I feel bad for the person that removed these books.
Great app flips pgs like a real book with a swipe to the left. The Lost Books are a great addition in the study and belief only wish it had the book of Enoch have to download it separately. All in All great to have at your fingertips.
I love this app and the resource it is. My only dislike is the inability to go onto the next page/chapter. I have to go back to the main menu, click the book I'm in, and remember what chapter is next.. a fix for this would be amazing.
So wonderful to have these books that didn't make it into the Bible. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are quite a few typos. That really takes away from the beauty of the book. There should not be typos in a book of this nature. Other than the typos, this book is profound. I may try to find a version that someone has taken the time to properly edit because I will be reading it again. Thank you for this app.
It's a great app to learn what others have written about whether it's TRUE or not is left up to the reader I just have one piece of advice make it where it remembers where you left off whenever reading it so you dont have to go back to the home screen and find the next chapter in the book your reading:)
This is a great find for me because I love searching any literature that corresponds with the bible. Also they are easy on the eyes to read.I actually own "The Lost Books" in paperback. Being able to download the apps that you offer is a great blessing!
The app is good and all, i mean to be honest it a 6 over ten. It would have been way higher but i do sincerely dislike the fact that i can't highlight or keep note or underline as easily as i can with the bible. It very provoking to have an important verse or even sentence i want to bring out without having to use pen and paper and not being able to. Please i beg of you in the name of Jesus Christ to fix it, please
Took me awhile to learn the easy way to advance to the next chapter. My fault. Looking forward to using other parts of this App. I really like the settings options letting me adjust fonts, brightness, and notes
Great app I've been using it for 3 years now. It would be lovely if it had a human sounding audio. Easy to search for specific themes using key words. Bookmark and notes options are helpful too
Lost Books, greatly expands on the works of most traditional bibles I've visited. Giving a broader view and account of biblical times. Thou I am unable to activate the audio facility. It take anything away from what is a very nice app indeed.
I love the lost books. Just really do not like that you can't read chapter after chapter with out going back to the book and new chapter then repeat over and over and over. That really stinks. Love the books but not the layout. Needs some work.
Amazing! God is good! When I saw this book at first glance, I was some what scheptical, however, it was very intresting, so I keep reading it, I end up reading alsmost all in a week! And my conclusion is this=I WILL NEVER SIN AGAIN by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and will always hearken to the voice of the angel of righteousness when he speaks into my heart, but I WILL REJECT THE VOICE OF THE ANGEL OF INIQUITY! When you finish reading this book, you will repent of your sins and sin no more!
As a christian, I always believed that the 66 books of the bybel was the final documents. Some chapters were not clear, and with the new findings of missing text and books, I was troubled and worried as to how will I get hold of those missing scriptures and books. Thank you for the app. You guys did a good job. The scripture is plain and direct. I wish the book of Enoch could have been added as well. This is another mystery that I wanted to understand too.
