Lost Books of the Bible w Forgotten Books of Eden
This is a collection of New Testament Apocrypha, including many works which were admired and read by the early Christians, but which were later excluded from the canonical Bible. It includes accounts of the young Jesus, particularly the Gospel of Mary and the Protevangelion, which provides additional folklore about the birth and youthful adventures of Jesus. Of note are the letters of Paul and Seneca, and the letters of Herod and Pilate, which are most likely a forgery, but add more depth to the question of the historicity of Jesus. There are also a number of non-canonical epistles, such as Laodiceans. Also worth a close read are the three books of the Shepherd of Hermas
Forgotten Books of Eden
This is a popularized translation of the OT pseudepigrapha, quasi-Biblical writings which never achieved canonical status (or inclusion in any of the official Apocrypha). This isn't to say that these documents are forgeries, just that for one reason or another they were not considered part of the Biblical text by the first millenium (C.E.) compilers. This book contains translations of all of the texts found in volume I of the weighty Oxford University Press Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, without any of the apparatus.

From what I have seen I think it's a great eye opening book. I been getting a feeling I needed to find out what is missing in the Bible. I think this app will help me dig deeper into the missing parts others felt should be left out. Thanks for making this app. Ain't noticed if I can highlight and/or take notes yet but if not it would be a bonus.
Many of the books contained within, answered questions I had from the reading the bible, made sense & set well with my Spirit . Then I came to "The first book of Adam & Eve" and not only does it not make any sense WHATSOEVER it completely contradicts the creation. I read it over a few times to make sure I hadn't "misinterpreted" "misread" or "misunderstood". And not only does it not make sense it most definitely does not sit well with my Spirit. It's obvious this particular "lost book" was written by man with the intention of causing confusion & division.
I have thoroughly enjoyed these literary works. It's a first hand look at history whether divinely inspired, stories passed down through generations or works created to consolidate the CHURCH'S power in effect giving the Pope power over king's. The Books of Adam and Eve are my favorite. Accurate or not its an interesting story of their lives from the moment they were expelled from the garden. All in all a fine collection. My only complaint? I wish there were more books!! Great job thanks
One book in particular..."the shepherd of Hermas", written over a few thousand years ago ( part of the collection of Lost Books) , is the primary reason l downloaded the app. I thank the developer of the app...for giving me access to a clear English translation of the text..
I was looking for something like this. Even though these books were not in the cannon for a reason. Due to them being unorthodox and are not in harmony with the 4 gospels. Michael j. Kruger in his book canon revisited explaines the reason why and its history of how the bible is formed. Good book for all the questions one may have about why these books weren't put in the bible. Thanks again for the app.
I wonder why this was not included in the Holy Bible. I like this format, as if you are turning pages, instead of scrolling. There used to be the Living Bible with this format, but I can't find it online.
this has been the most valuable tool and resource that I could ever imagine even existed all these are true events just builds build your faith builds everything up and puts the pieces together all the missing pieces not all of them I know there's more somewhere somebody's got them somewhere but it helps a lot and I thank you forever and ever and one of their ways but this God bless you
These are not Christian book. They were written long after the historical Jesus and his disciples. They were known to the early Church and were rejected because the authors of these books had no direct connection to either the disciples of Jesus or anyone with a direct connection to the disciples themselves. These are gnostic gospels. There's no such thing as lost books of the bible from my knowledge, only some books by CHRISTIANS which didn't meet the criteria of gospel and these are not them
Easy to read and understand. Very interesting to know the history of Mary . bible is brief about mary.. this book helps me to understand the bible more clearly. Thankyou for the efforts put in getting this book uploaded.
I guess the app developer wants to give us full data in the books...I only download your apps...great job..it feels great to read and know you will get the whole content and nothing removed from the scriptures.

Wow love this App it has all I was looking for and even changes the color of the letters and background so I can see it better to read plus love how turning the page is like a real book 😁
I enjoy this app. the only recommendation is to be able to highlight text in addition to the ability to bookmark a page.

Awesome app! Very informative in regard of being in line with the kjv Bible. There are references to cross reference in the kjv Bible.
This is great little learning tool to help you to understand bible. I really do enjoy reading lost books of bible it give me clear understand things happen in Bible..

I would like the ability to underline and cross referrence. Even if i have to store that information on my wall
this books is a total eye opener and relatively a religious mindset breaker... a must read.. i higly recommend it..

I've had this app a week or so and today all of a sudden I can't access the menu panel. If the ads weren't right over the menu swipe I'd be able to access the menu to select which book I'd like to read along with the other menu options. But, since it is, when I swipe to access the menu it doesn't work because THERE'S AN AD THERE PREVENTING ME FROM ACCESSING IT. Genius plan there guys. I'm about to unistall it because I'm not about to keep flipping pages until I get to where I'd like to read.
