I wasn't a huge fan of this one. It's REALLY short for starters, and the class system and skill system is really fun but the skillchecks are really arbitrary and difficult to understand. It feels like a lot of your choices don't really have an impact regardless, but at the same time it's really easy to screw up and lose out on something major. I was just confused and frustrated for most of it and I tried playing a few times. Meh. Waste of a few bucks.
Good CYOA. The only complaint could be the way stat checks determine choices, but its more of a system than a detriment. Another could be length, however, because it is the first of three and there is a lot of choices and replayability it's not an issue. I've played both a Good Knight that bonds to Petra and a mostly Evil Bard Wizard who seduces Jess(my fav). I've heard some not so good things about the other two games but the reviews are fine and i already bought them! Excited to continue them
A well written choice book. I've read a lot of these kinds of books, and this is one of the better ones. Lots of choices allow you to customize your character in different ways. Lots of stats and pathways through the book makes for interesting replay. Well done on this.
Great game can play over and over squire, priestess, wizard, guard, hunter, druid, knight, assassin, a ton of options great replay value. The 2nd and 3rd books are equally amazing! There are even more options in those! Most games I've bought I wish I hadn't wasted the money, but not this. Totally worth it!
Hello, I successfully purchased this game here in playstore for $2.99, however when I opened the app it says that I still need to buy it for $1.99. I already did the 'restored purchase' but nothing happened. Do I need to pay again? Thank you for your time. Edit: If I understand correctly the additional $1.99 dollars is just an upgrade (like an in-app purchase, perfectly optional)?
Perfect game to play if your D&D session is canceled. Some choices that seem frivolous can actually lead you to secrets you'd have missed, worth playing multiple times and worth trying different character builds.
I would love the game and feel at ease playing through it. But the high skill checks ruin the experience as I am unable to play the character I want. Sometimes I am unable to do anything and continue blind due to these skill checks. In which I receive few points compared to the high skill checks.
This game isn't good, it's barely presentable at best. With how praised it is, it hugely underperforms all expectations I had. One of the many issues it has is "show, not tell." Through the relation meter, they hint that you're close to the person but you'll know nothing about them. The biggest offender is your caretaker who's made to be important but has shown none of the interaction to warrant it. No investment=Drop Also, LegacyAdvantage is a cashgrab and the only way to get a satisfying end.
I bought this game for 2.99 and upon opening it the game says I need to buy it for 1.99, even though its already been purchased. I have emailed the support team 3 times and so far no response. I will update if I get a response but for now im annoyed. I just want to play the game I purchased. UPDATE: I did get a response which clarified some of the issues I was having but since I had already made the additional 1.99 purchase I couldnt try to "fix" my origional issue. But its fine and Im neutral.
Very rushed and stat-based. Quite poor character interactions. Bought the Legacy Advantage too and it pretty much did nothing besides dropping some serious gold. Might be me creating a character not suited for greatness, so three stars it is.
Gotta agree with the other reviews about the stat checks; they are really punishing, especially if you want to beat the last fight. Also having a DLC just to increase your stats is pretty scummy.
One of the best games of this type. Very high freedom of choice, wonderful implementation RPG elements, especially the job system.
An interesting concept, but I think it was too short and every skill check was too hard for my character despite training those skills.
I really liked the story. but I think its bogus that I can only play this once. when I want to replay it makes me pay again.
It kinda let me down, I paid the i think it was like $6 to download the game and the story was a let down, still a good game but not worth $6
Its actually so worth everything. Not too hard or easy and branches out so well. Both the dlc or not is still worth its money.
great stories, can't fault anything about all three. they quickly became my favourite hosted stories, played through them all at least 10 times 😂
I love this series, but have one problem. the legacy advantage has to be paid for, but you already have to pay for the game.
This series is one of the best interactive stories I have played. I believe these three stories are the best of the author's work and a must play.
It's very very cool, but I don't get why it won't let me open Theo's box when I have 23 Devices, a lockpick set, and it only requires 20...
The game/story was enjoyable at best but way too short. Over all, I'd rate it 7/10 with 3 out of 5 stars
it is a fun game but it isn't worth three dollars I mean it ended so fast. it's a great game but its kinda a scam 11
Fantastic story the choices had me restarting over and over it reminds me of a classic d and d experience oh you that that would work nope not on this boss lol love it
Well written story set in a way to tell the struggle of the protagonist. Good read!
Really enjoy the stories. Loved them so much I was willing to spend money to get all the stories.
Wow, simply wow... It has been a long time since I have been blown away by a story this amazing.
I love this series! I've replayed it at least 10 times and it's my favourite out of any of the Choices games. I have all 3 games and the DLC purchased and I considered all of them more than worth it. The replay value is incredible. I only wish there was some sort of guide, because I really want to get an Enchanted Archer but I'm struggling. The guide I was using (unaffliated) also doesn't include the new DLC so it's hard to get through it. But that's my only complaint and doesn't really have anything to do with the quality of the game itself. If you're not a guides person unlike me, it's perfect!
