Nice graphics and story but no natural flow and I keep getting stuck. Thankfully there is an option to watch an ad for a hint because I needed a dozen hints to play for 40 mins. The majority of gameplay is just tapping all over in hopes of picking up an item accidentally. I currently have a stick that i used to lever a rock, but i can't use it to lever a rock in the next scene. I will check out one of the newer versions before deciding against it altogether but am uninstalling this one.
Great intro into the series. I like that the collections are attainable and there was no morphing collection! (I came up one skull short, though.) I loved being able to interact with the animals and having a "pet" owl! I could do without having to go all the way back to the Forest from the Castle to complete puzzles, but it is what it is. And what it is is the best graphics and game of this type for free. You will get happily sucked into these games.
Another great game! My only ( and first complaint about any five-bn game) is that this one was a little clustered. I mean, there were a lot of open quests at one time, making it hard to keep straight what was going on esp if you took a break from the game for a little while. But still hands down the best group of games period....on to lost lands 2. Huge thanks to the creators of this game. Thank you for giving us a free version!
Beautifully done!! The quests are fun and the puzzles are not too complicated. They open your mind to think out of the box sometimes. They rate top of my list of mystery puzzles with the best sceneries! You won't be disappointed. I've actually played this game 2x now lol. I keep the Lost Lands and those from the software company as when you can't find something to play, you play it again and try and remember how you got through lol. Nothing is better than this!
Just finished the game and enjoyed it immensely, graffics very good, music is OK, puzzles are fairly easy to work out, story is good, looking forward to playing the next one, but the only thing I found was while I had the collectors edition I still had to pay to unlock the bonus game. This seemed a little off. But still the game is worth playing.
Kinda fun... I really liked the story, but I got so lost with poor hints or clues. Reminds me of old point and click game. Some puzzles, like the turtle puzzle was so confusing. Not very clear instructions, but clear objectives. Too many sites (Tree village, dwarves, castle, etc. to visit, I kept forgetting where I needed to go next. I uninstalled because I ended up reading a walk-through for missing clues or puzzle solving and it should never come to that. Bonus chapter is a pay to play.
Enjoyed playing this game and the the story. Mini puzzles were not very difficult. I deducted 2 stars because the map in game does not show you where you have items to get to complete tasks. The map ONLY SHOWS FOOTPRINTS OF WHERE YOU ARE PRESENTLY LOCATED! Many times throughout the game, I had no idea where I was supposed to go next??? This is probably designed this way to get you to buy hints, but for me was very frustrating!
This game was so fun! I loved the story line and the entire fantasy world you enter. They only give you so many coins for hints and you only get to watch so many trailers for hints before they cut it off but that's okay more of a challenge that way. One thing that kind of bummed me out was after beating the game you get a extra demo kind of thing but you have to pay 1.99 yes it's cheap but kind of sucky. Anyways this games graphics are great and this game is an addictive adventure!
I finished the game (not including bonus chapters). The game is good enough, puzzles are okay. The graphic very old pc nostalgic 😊 (i like it). Probably get better on next versions. Maybe because its fantasy themed, often times i dont even know what im looking for 😂. The playability is very direct. Not so flexible like, u have to have certain items to do stuff even if logically u can do it with other items. Lol. The plot is very simple, but the theme and maps are cool.
Just conquered the second game. Downloaded the third. Thought I'd leave a review, great game, story, puzzles, and music. It's hard to figure out sometimes, so I used hints, but never skipped a puzzle. I really love the incorporation of old tools and methods in the game. Really brings on a nostalgic feeling
I really enjoyed this game! It was a great mix of puzzles with a story, and the artwork is beautiful. Every new section I unlocked I was excited to explore! I also really loved that I didn't have to buy coins to unlock coins for hints, but could choose to watch an ad instead. I will be playing more of these games!
Amazing game. Not easy, but not hard. The main chapter is quite long for a mobile game. No forced ads, just watch to get hints. Hints only tell you where to go not what to do when you get there, I like that. Bonus chapter is worth paying for to help support devs and gives you free coins to use for clues, not as long but a nice story.
Definately more "findy" than "puzzley" compared to other stuff like meridian 157, the room series etc. Graphics are good and stuff is logical. Puzzles are easy. Fun game though!! Some of the puzzles that required precise control did not work due to the auto pan feature (the model castle was impossible to place the bottom right staircase). There should be a setting to max the zoom out so auto pan is not interfering with the puzzle piece placement. Other than that worth a play though!
Really frustrated that there is no option to watch an ad in exchange for a clue like on other BN games. Hang on to the 5 free ones at the beginning or be prepared to spend money. Other than that this story seems to flow well and (so far) the placement of objects make sense rather than just feeling slapped together
This is the first 5 game I played, and this is what I thought : The plot is cliche as hell, but the illustrations are fantastic and lit up my imagination. It is pretty challenging, mostly due to the scope of the game : you never loose access to the places you've been, and puzzles pieces are strewn over several maps. I read a few people had problems with how dark the game is, but either it is due to their phone's settings, or 5 fixed it, because I didn't have this issue. Overall, I recommend it!
Great game! but can't progress as there is an issue on the leaf puzzle. I solve the puzzle, but it won't allow me to move the last puzzle piece over from the left. Piece is greyed out so I can't move it to complete. Unable to progress, so quite frustrating. The game was great up till that point😭 ***update... Issue happened two more times, though managed to complete the puzzle. Finished the game and loved it.
For a mobile experience, this game is a joy. The visuals and soundtrack are a step above most other mobile games (the game doesn't scale well on tablets, but that is fine). Lost Lands' concept has been very well thought out and incorporates many puzzle genre elements. Despite a simple plotline, Lost Lands 1 is driven by its gameplay and atmosphere. It is challenging enough to keep players on their toes and not frustrate them. Side note: The map button should not be right next to the hint button.
For me, the best game/game series in all of Google Play!! At least the best free game. Graphics are fantastic! Game play and navigation are smooth, logical, and consistent throughout. Puzzles and other mini-games are satisfyingly challenging without being too hard or easy. Amazingly complex fantasy story carries the player through the game. Personally I get a bit confused with all the many characters. But it doesn't significantly interfere with game play. THANKS FOR HOURS OF FUN!!
I wasn't expecting much from this game, not gonna lie it seemed pretty corny in the opening sequence. But I ended up being kind of blown away. The art in the interactive portions was beautiful, its long and complex especially for a free game + seems glitch free, the puzzles are challenging enough to be fun but not so difficult/nonsensical as to be frustrating. But what really made me love it was the story! I was actually really compelled by it, which I wasn't anticipating at all. Great game!
Great storyline & graphics. You begin with 4 but can get Up to 9 or 10 free hints (can't remember). A bigger screen is needed for me because of the small details. I am 50% complete and it can be quite challenging at times, but I look forward to the challenge and it makes for a longer and more enjoyable game. You need to have attention to detail and patience. I haven't had any freezing issues or glitches. Very smooth play. I haven't needed to purchase hints, either!
Absolutely excellent! I love the challenge and I love how I don't have a time limit (at my stage anyways) to locate items. I also love how I don't lose lives. Games should be fun, not frustrating, and this is exactly how a game should be, with excellent graphics, great animations, fantastic mini puzzles, and a good storyline. It is well laid out. Thanks so much to the developers for meeting all of MY expectations in a truly well designed and thoroughly enjoyable app! Just captivating.
Really fun game. The first thing I love is there are no ads, and it's basically all free with the option to buy gold. Great story and detailed pictures/ scenes. Puzzles are challenging and keep you thinking, looking, and traveling back and forth to solve new parts of the game. Only thing I recommend is playing on a tablet with a bigger screen than a phone to see all the picture detail.
I am in love with these games! I have played all seven of the Lost Lands adventures as well as all four of the Darkness and Flame series-- all of them are 10 stars in my opinion. Lost Lands has a good story line throughout all the games. The graphics are good, the puzzles are challenging, but not extremely difficult (I did use a walkthrough help occasionally). The games are completely free from beginning to end, with a bonus chapter optional buy at the very end. I can highly recommend!
Another great one. Graphics, story, music, relaxing ambience. Puzzles were challenging at times, but a few of them I was still trying figure out how to do when all the pieces just fell into and it was done before I knew it. Haha just one thing, it seems if you don't play the bonus stage before you (accedently) click the OK button after completing the main story, then u will have to pay or finish the main story again to unlock bonus stage. Because I couldn't play the bonus stage now.
