Recently updated (as of Spring 2022). Ordering is definitely easier than it used to be, however there are still some bugs. Changing from delivery to pick up took a few tries to actually change, and saving a new address took a similar amount of tries to actually save.
Very easy to use. Only thing I'd improve is to default a payment type. A few times I thought it was already paid for then had no cash when it got here. Selecting a payment type is an extra step you always have to remember to do & not always easy to remember when you're hungry!
So far so good, only four stars simply because I've only tried it once so far. Certainty seems easy to navigate and order. I love the fact that they've developed a points program to get free food. I feel like everyone should offer a similar program in exchange for loyalty. Will change rating to 5 in future if things continue to go as expected.
It generally functions pretty well. However the "custom" tip option doesn't work. The user is limited to choosing a percentage of the order. It'd be better to have the option to enter an amount. Addendum to my previous review. The custom tip function is back to not working and I've adjusted my review accordingly. When you try to enter a custom amount it won't display as you use the keyboard and it registers as $0.01, $0.02. FIX THIS NOW!
OK but needs work. There's no "special instructions" area on the order interface to cover options not offered by the interface, like if you want an ingredient on just half the pizza. The alerts don't allow you to scroll down to read the entire alert without actually opening the app. The wording for some of the promotions is confusing, too - if you're offering double points, simply say "we're offering double points". Don't get cute with stuff like "earn your next reward doubly quick".
Here's my problem...The gratuity option. 1. Should offer an option for the user to input a specific dollar amount, not just the prompted 15%, 20%, etc. ...but MORE importantly... 2. It DOES NOT calculate gratuity properly. My subtotal (after a rewards deduction) was $22.80. At 15%, it SHOULD have been $3.42. Even if they based the gratuity off the pre-discounted subtotal of $50.65, it would have been $7.60. Instead, it charged me $11.39. I had to call the restaurant to have it fixed. Poor!
Android Update: after the new update, STILL cannot customize with choices I want. Whichever choice the cursor is on when I choose customization, sauces or dressings, that I want, will NOT be picked up on the order. Not good ar all. After the second to last update, some of my profile info was missing. Won't pick up first item under customization. Messed up my order. Also, camera button NOT working.
It's a great app, I just wish it included the soup to be able to be ordered online. Also, a space addrd to include instructions for the food if you want to customize something instead of having to call it in to the restaurant after you've already placed your order online. My order never comes right when I do that and I believe its because it's not on the order print out. It gets lost in communication somewhere. So I am forced to just not ask for what I want. Sad since I'm paying for it.
The app is relatively easy to use but it used to be better- you could personalize your order more than just "type of dressing" or "no dressing "... I used to be able to have certain ingredients on my salad put on the side - that way when I share it, it could be helpful in avoiding allergens. (And one of us can still get that ingredient!)
Best pizza in the world. Obviously should stick to pizza... Had a $75 email gift card sent to me, made two orders back to back on the app, marked cash as payment but added the gc# in code section. When I got to the store I had already been charged twice for the last order placed in the app. All said and done my gf was all used up yet only had made $60 in purchases... Bummer technology. Keep making good pizza Lou's!
This is amazing, you get reward points for the pizzas you buy and it's actually very much incentivized compared to your typical buy 30 pizzas and get one free. They have multiple points and if you have multiple orders they give free points. In the end it's better to use this than to go through grubhub or doordash because you get minimal incentives with those apps.
I've been buying from Lou's for 40 years. The app makes it easier and I can redeem my points directly from the app. Super easy! 12/2021 - I'm finding it difficult to switch betwen carry-out and delivery via the app. I think that could be improved.
The app has been not working properly nor the rewards portion but the pizza is absolutely great. My preference in the area because of the freshness of ingredients and the light airy crust.
I ❤ Malnati's but I feel like the whole Malnati's menu is not on the app, and it should be. The app is easy to use but can be glitchy at times. Does make ordering easier, but like I said; the whole menu should be available. There is a delivery fee added to the app and I feel delivery should be free, considering drivers are tipped.
This so App simply won't work for me. I even deleted it & reinstalled to no avail. It tells me my ID & passwords do not match. I request a password reset for forgotten password. I receive a email comfirming a reset & click on Reset. It takes me back to sign in page & the nonsence starts over again. So I think OK, maybe I never really signed up & Starr over as a New Account. The App says Nope that email address is already in use. Yes it is, by me! As many reviews noted lack of acquiring points, put me on that list too!
App is easy to use, but they refuse to give rewards! We have everything linked up, but never get points when we order. If we try to add the order separately, we get invalid page error. Tried to get help thru the app and they didn't even respond!
pizza was great- thin crust sausage , tried their online app was not worth the trouble I had trying to find if they got my order or not...that experience was a bummer ended losing the whole ball of wax and frustrated ended up calling store and wasted 45 minutes trying to order on line BOO LOU FIX THIS ISSUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The place order button is always grayed out and not functional (technically it's red). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, changing payment type and pickup time, and they have not solved the problem. Haven't been able to place an order with the app in many months. Totally useless.
Isn't always responsive causing to start over. Too many steps to use promo(which never available), or get order complete, unable to split payments. Would prefer more on same page, everything is separate. Menu ordering confusing. Details on history isn't very complete.
This app always works great. Two things that would be nice to have are the ability to edit a pizza after you've added it to your cart and be able to set your default payment type. The app defaults to cash, which is great since a lot of people might still want to pay for their pizza with cash, but for those that prefer to pay with card being able to change your default preference would be nice.
