Just create a list of names/items, and start picking when ready. Save the list you created for later use. You can copy, delete them as you wish.
If you are in a conference, gathering etc and need to raffle out items, you can use this app to pick a winner randomly.
You can share the results via email/text etc. Hear the drum roll while you shake the device. If shaking isn't your thing then simply tap away a button to pick an item.

Just add few animations and numbering to those names that are drawn. Means like 1. Juliana 2. Marry etc. Animations should be like of wait and animation of wait in form of gif etc.and the most important thing that will make it the ultimate app if you add the picture option with each name so that one can saw pic as well along with name.
Nice ap but I need to be able to upload class lists so not helpful for me, 6 classes of 30 pupils each is too much to do manually. Also an alternative to shaking to select a name would be good as I'd have rsi by the end of the week.
pros : can save lists cons: didn't like the shaking feature. I also suggest to add a number to each person so the user knows how many are in the list. drawing more than one person should be included too.
I like that you get to shake it for the name and that I can conveniently delete a name, but I went with the other app only cause out was a little more animated/fun:-). I'm waiting to see which one will add the features I want; 1. the ability to enter/edit the # of times a name I'd like to have entered into the hat to increase their chances and save me time. (something similar will do) 2. the option to enter the name alphabetically into the list.
