When I used this to call Coventry One multiple times within 6 months, I get "Company disconnected the call" after it waited on hold for some time. I assume this means the reps hung up when they answered. An app like this is useless if CS reps aren't willing to cooperate with it. Also, today I tried calling back with Lucy Phone and when it called me I heard nothing then it disconnected saying that customer did not take call. This happened twice. Lucy Phone is a great idea, but not so great if it doesn't work!
Never had the chance to see it in action. I saw this on NBC News and thought it was cool, but after two hours to call any number and getting "server error" I am uninstalling. Don't waste your time.
When it called, I pressed 1 to be connected, but it didn't register. I kept pressing 1 and it would just repeat the same thing it just said.
If you're on a prepaid plan or on any plan with limited amount of minutes, this app is a lifesaver. You can cut down quite a few minutes if you're trying to reach customer service with long hold times. Make the call, make your selections like normal, and when you get the infamous hold music, just tap ## (or ** if you're a Google Voice user), and hang up! The app will tell you the current status as well as the total time on hold; as well as the total call time. When the agent answers, it calls you back! :D
Saved me from having to wait on hold for 2 hours with FTD after they ruined my valentine's day because they didn't deliver my wife's flowers. Excellent app.
Can only call numbers on their list. So that means I can't use this for the DMV in my state. When using a number on the list it says my cellphone is not a valid callback number
Great app!! I needed to call my cell phone company, and didn't want to be on hold till I got a live person. I love the call-back feature! I just simply entered my phone number, and I got a call on my phone when it was my turn! Really saved me time and hassle ! Thnx LucyPhone
Rarely works, if it does work you are limited to a very small pool of phone numbers. You should be able to call any number
As others have reported, prompted to press 1 to connect, but am never connected. Instructions are just repeated. HTC incredible on gingerbread
I had Lucy phone try to connect me to Comcast and it connected me to Dish Now-- some company trying to sell me a Dish subscription! Pretty sneaky...
Doesn't work. Gives me a prompt to connect, but when I press "1" it just keeps saying the same thing over and over.
Worked the first time I used it. Loved not having to be on hold and could continue work at my job. Could use a few instructions on the web.
I was unable to try once. Forceclose everytime with my android. Once updated could become an essential app if it truly works
I lost important information on my phone when I had to reset it,and lucyphone helped me get through the 99 min wait to recover my lost info!
This app will not work. It won't accept ** via google voice. And direct calls don't forward all key presses. Good reviews are from nonusers

Works as advertised! It just saved me from being tortured for almost half an hour with nonstop elevator music. -Nexus S
App failed to work. I hit ** while on hold, and nada. Positive reviews, are obviously bogus.
Works great! The only suggestion I'd have is a feedback form for wrong numbers you have programmed into the system.
Calling comcast I got a message the wait time would be 15 to 20 minutes. Using this app I got a call and an apology for the wait about 25 min later. Whew... now who else do I need to call... ;)
I called Comcast using Lucy and it just connected me to their robots. Absolutely no help at all.
Useless app it only says starting call and then nothing happens! Total garbage!
Make sure no 1s are in front of the number, even tho they're included in the directory which makes no sense
Waited forever on Asus, lost the call once I finally got an agent, raged, found out about this App online, watched Netflix until THEY called ME!! I'm going to use this always.
Call quantity makes this app UNUSABLE! I cannot understand anything said on the other end.
I just used the website for the first time and I hope the app is as good. I wish I had known about this a long time ago !!

However {oftentimes}, when I enter a number to call it (will often say) 'Whoops! We were unable to find that number...' (or something like that). The popup {still} then leaves buttons saying 'Find Company' and 'Cancel' -- it does not allow you to enter a custom number. Also, the automated system doesn't seem to work correctly. It should leave the option of giving a personal greeting, but instead the automated voice and system handles everything for you, except leaving a space for you to give your name. While this may seem convenient, it doesn't always solve the problem of actually getting connected with the company. I have had quite a lot of Hang-Ups, disconnects, and ('extra') hold times. (But don't forget that it doesn't give option of adding a custom number; it will only allow you to call a number which is stored in the archived phone directory). {Also, is it just me, or does anyone else find the automated voice annoying? It says Lucy phone, so shouldn't it sound like Lucy (it - the icon, I mean - certainly looks like Lucy -- I mean Lucy as in the 'I Love Lucy' Show)? Awesome app. It just wish it had additional companies to choose from. Some companies (like Simplisafe) are not in the list.
Was talking to my power company to correct my name which mis-spelt by them on the bill. I was told there 60 something callers in queue ahead of me, being served by 80 something customer care execs, and the wait time is about 8 mins. Long story short, I used this app and ~8 mins later my phone rang after connecting the call with the CC at the other end. Even though the phone display sleeps and phone is locked, the call is waiting on hold in background and it rings when connected.
