Not as intuitive as it may be, but works. COVID document upload was OK. Improvement examples include finding your boarding pass, which requires you to tap on the screen when the only obvious button is beneath - and that takes you elsewhere. Secondly, I understand the COVID requirements change but the app should immediately be updated upon a rule change - my experience was that the app was unclear.
The app is quite complete in what it can do but it is soooo slow. It takes ages to load and display bookings or other data which is a nuisance when you are on a trip without WiFi or on a slow or unreliable roaming network. Last but not least, for weeks the app is defective and does not load booking data, nor permitting check-in. Hence 1/5
Horrible and unusable. Getting various errors trying to login, bookings can't be found, unclear UX/UI. In general, very disappointed with this company. Both the flight experience and the app are unacceptable. Used to be one of the good ones, but clearly - no more.
Had 4 notifications within very short timescale to check in followed by flight is cancelled. All alternative flights were either wait list only or completely unacceptable. Chatbot was not working due to "technical reasons". Then strangely automatically rebooked onto a slightly later direct flight than the cancelled one where Business class was half empty - why not immediately offer this. Then told flight irregularity & couldnt get boarding card. App good for checking miles balance.
User experience is horrible. Often I can't login. It forgets your login and editing flights is impossible. No messages why things don't work. It's just a bad web application in an app. Basically like the food in the airline. It somehow works but tastes awful.
It seems impossible to upload COVID vaccination proof. On mobile you get the option to upload or take a picture with the camera, but there is only one button that goes to upload. Too bad. A camera option would be super user friendly.
I have had issues every step of the way. From account creation to not being able to use the information from booking to gain access to my upcoming flight. Overall one of the least user friendly apps I've seen.
Worst airlines app I have ever used. Check-in almost never works. Have to try 10 or more times to get it to work. Document scanner works poorly. Seat assignments change without notice. Simply awful experience.
Love the airport map and transfer directions!!!! This should be advertised a lot, super helpful! I would have given 5 stars if the travel documents didn't fail to load sometimes when I switch between passenger tabs.
Almost completely useless. Multiple attempts to checkin both on trip out and return trip were exercises in frustration. Did not give the right seat number. Then showed a different seat number. Then multiple errors, cannot check in. Still trying.
I am not having success using it or having ease to contact someone for help. They are asking for a 6 digit but the number associated with my flight is 7 numbers. Very frustrating. There are too many things I am supposed to agree to and then I cannot get any help.
It works but slowly, very slowly. It is not very logical. And almost impossible to find my boarding passes (phone support could not find them). Come on. Your are a major airline company. It should be easy to use. Spring '22 - nothing new still same problems. Forgets my bookings even though I'm logged in.
The app is great for online booking, checking you flight and updates on flight status. The only issue I have is that it's a little slow in retrieving my information or doesn't seem to store my data even after I make the selection to do so
Largely useless - Booking only appears sporadically, unable to load COVID documents, therefore, can't check-in, and the app generates an error on every other screen. This app should be taken offline until it works properly.
Difficult to use, poor UX. For example, when entering in a travel companion on the Personal Data section, I enter in the exact alphanumeric number for my companion's MileagePlus account. I am unable to save the information and there is a warning icon with no context next to the MileagePlus number. I can only imagine they've designed this field to accept only numeric values. Therefore, due to Lufthansa's design of this form, there is no way to properly input other frequent flyer program account details and it is absolutely unusable. This has been an ongoing problem with their apps - no concern for other programs.
Worse app. Straight from the 80's Hangs up, loses information, doesnt load, lost my chance at upgrade because it timed out and crashed. Customer servixe is also worthless. Never fly with them again
Lufthansa cancelled my flights last minute with no reason given and the app keeps sending me notifications to board etc. I'be lost thousands of euro on a holiday I've been trying to plan for years. And the app keeps rubbing it in with notifications for flights and airports
It's been 2 months since I've requested a refund because my flight was canceled, and every time there is a new story from customer service. The office in Germany doesn't answer and the callback service they offer doesn't work, the customer care in turkey has different stories every time I call and right now for a week the number doesn't even work Update (it turned out my phone number was blocked by lufthansa since I called from another number and they answered)
Horrible app compared to that of your competitors. Long loading times, not user friendly in UI, the boarding pass couldn't be accessed and I have to login when using the app. Dafuq is this in 2022
Ninsrvice after waiting for 30 minutes on the phone. the app doesn't deliver the boarding pass while I got it throught the browser interface and it's now in Google pay but not in the app anymore.
Unable to download boarding pass and to use this on my mobile to board my flights, as i can with apps from other airlines. So, despite having checked-in using the app the evening before, and having uploaded covid certificates and documents to Lufthansa via the app, I had to join a queue at the airport and check in properly, in-person. This was frustrating and caused me some anxiety. It made everything I'd done on the app before going to the airport completely pointless.
Not a user friendly app at all! One us unable to comlete simple tasks such as checking in especially when reservations are made with partner airlines. Lufthansa can do better!
A very poorly designed app. You have to constantly login to you miles & more account and that rarely ever works without an error message. For such a major airline, this is a joke of an app.
Tells you to buy baggage check-in buy can't purchase it. Has the option to upgrade the flight, but option goes nowhere. Application is not intuitive. Plus I would have imagine the seat to have a little more room, but actually very small, if the first row falls back their seat, it creates a domino effect as the space left between your face and the seat forward is so saw small that it is very uncomfortable. If you are far sighted you won't see anything.
